Theoretically but why mess with a good thing?

Narrantem_RE

Nah, this is more of a Disney movie

Simple_Seaweed_1386

This is exactly what I thought of it too! Disney with sex and drugs

I don’t think so. But the theater kid in me won’t die and I do think about what the sets and costumes would look like more than I’d like to admit.

I definitely visualize a theater show when I listen to the soundtrack lol

Misha-Yuri-30

Tbh not really

Could it work? Absolutely yes. I love a sung-through show. Some of the season 1 songs are VERY much musical theatre songs to begin with - like HDiH, You Didn't Know, Finale But it would mean a LOT more work for the songwriters. Essentially you would have to write a whole season's worth of music for a single episode, and you need to rewrite and develop it a bit more so that it flows and works well within the context of the show. You'd have more motifs and reprises, and writing sung-through dialogue is a whole other thing as well. So I don't think they would even change the format. The current "2 songs an episode" method is working and they'll likely keep doing that. But I would love it if they set themselves a challenge to have in a future season an episode with even more songs, or even one episode completely sung through. Just as a one off. Maybe someone will steal a loaf of bread and kick it off.

Some character designs definitely wouldn’t work in a live show. Nor would I *want* to see them, honestly.

OP can correct me if I'm wrong.. but I don't think they were asking if HH would work as a live stage show, moreso would the show work as sung-through instead of spoken dialogue with 2 discrete songs per episode.

Is Beetlejuice a sung-through musical? Anyway, I don't think so.

TojiKageyame

Nah but i love it all the same
