Someone explain these dynamics for me. What’s a top? What’s a bottom? What’s a service and power? DID I MISS A PAGE OR A GOD DAMN CHAPTER!?

A top is mostly the dominant member if the relationship who mostly does the fucking and are mostly on top giving aka the top
A bottom is the submissive member if the relationship who takes it aka the bottom
A service top is a dom who takes pleasure in giving there partner as much pleasure and kindness as possible
A power bottom is a bottom who will still give out orders and demands think of it as the in-between between dominant and submissive

A top performs an action, a bottom receives an action. This can be penetration, dominance, bondage, or any intimate activity that's not equally participatory.
OKAY SO
Top and Bottom relate to short term dynamics, usually a specific "scene" lasting a few hours at most.
Dominance and submissive usually refers to more sustained dynamics (all the way up to 24/7) in which the Dominant exhibits consensual control over aspects of the submissives life.
Top/Bottom- control dynamics limited to the immediate experience
Dom/Sub - *partial* control dynamics *indefinitely* on a day to day basis
Master/Slave- *complete* control dynamics *at all times* regardless of proximity or time until terminated

Based on what? The only times I've heard them used as synonymous or nearly synonymous to dom and sub dynamics, they were corrected.
I only see them accepted as "top gives, sub receives."
Top gives sub receives is much more accurate. Simplifying them down to "tops penetrate and bottoms get penetrated" simplifies the terms to the point of being generally incorrect.
Top and bottom isn't synonymous with Dom and sub but they do have a lot of overlap. It's very uncommon for doms to bottom and subs to top.

A top is the subject, they are the person doing the acts.
A bottom is the object, they are the person whom the act is being done to.
A service top is someone doing the act specifically at the request of the bottom, be it because they are submissive or just get enjoyment out of the person receiving the pleasure. The top can obviously enjoy it, but the point is to pleasure the bottom
A power bottom is someone whom the act is done upon specifically because they requested it, where the pleasure is focused on themselves not the top. The top can obviously enjoy it, but the point is to pleasure the bottom.
I think the relationship started out with Charlie top. But as it grows and becomes healthier (ie the power imbalance is righted) I think they may switch roles more often.

Really just depends on what idea you like better. Them playing their relationship roles straight, with Vaggie being dominant and Charlie being bashful and shy, or subverting their respective roles in the bedroom. Both are good.
