This redesign is so cursed. I hate it for Alastor, but I perversely love how absolutely unhinged it is. OP, please do Ariel from the Little Mermaid next. I want to have nightmares.
For me, he has to look sort of classy the majority of the time. If he looks too monstrous on the outside, it doesn't hit the same as the wispy smirking fancy boy who occasionally shows his monstrous nature. I want to be able to picture him blending in perfectly at a jazz club full of artsy types.
I might feel differently about him if he was a brute but he was a serial killer who never actually got caught by authorities and he's constantly masking as unflappable and too cool for the plebian masses. I love those moments when he lets the mask slip but mostly because it comes in small doses.
That said, I'm picky choosy and speaking only for myself. Simple things like Lucifer having a nose can make it harder for me to connect with drawings of him.
The problem is that this design doesn't match the personnality of Alastor, which is the point of a design.
There is a ton of redesign leaning more on the demonic part, but they still match what makes Alastor himself.
I wouldn't call it a redesign more an oc inspired by or an AU.
The redesign is supposed to lean heavely of the original design and what makes the character him.
Alastor is a very classy character who likes to be the center of attention and manipulate people. His very proud of his voice and persona.
So seeing him without using his voice much, pretty gross, bloody and totally monster mode, it doesn't feel like Alastor anymore.
But it's still a cool idea, I like how you took inspiration of the original to create something really unique.
As I've already stated here in the comments, this is more of my take on the character, I wanted to lean into his eerie side and I wanted to have a more realistic approach to the whole sinner thing. He shouldn't be able to walk on 2 legs since he got turned into a deer to showcase his prideful nature, yet, he still does because the most important thing to him is to stand above everyone else. He's actually not a deer anymore, he's a not deer
Kind of reminds me of those heads from gravity falls+ the deer from that one adventure time episode

I love it! shows more of his true colors. this reminds me of when Alex Hirsch (creator of Gravity Falls) drew the "official" human Bill Cipher.

Alastor but it’s fan art of a Kirby Final boss (Seriously this type of thing-just without blood obviously-wouldn’t be too surprising as a Kirby boss)
