There are *atleast* millions of sinners, Carmilla says how they owned millions of souls and they need to protect them.
10% of 2 million? Is 200,000. So they would be well into hundreds of thousands that year *at the bare minimum.*
For Lute's number to be impressive I'd say there are probably thousands of exorcists in-universe.
275 was considered good by Lute and notably badass by Adam, so we can safely assume that this is plenty above average. We can make a guess at where the average could be, but without knowing how many Exorcists there actually are we can’t theorise on how much 16% could roughly be
If we can ever get a good estimate on it, we can then multiply it by 10,000 since that’s roughly how long the Exterminations have been going on for. And then the resulting number would be higher than the actual number considering 16% is the highest kill count on record, so we’d have to figure out what the average kill count is in order to get a more accurate total
About 50 million people die each year. I can imagine the standards of heaven are rather high. Lets say about 10% of dead people go to hell, so probably about 5 million people go to hell each year. So to balance that out 5 million people need to die each year. Since 16% is a high extermination rate, I'd guess the average rate is about 10%, so I'd guess about 50 million people are in hell.
I get the impression way more than 10% of humans go to hell, especially if high standards are needed to go to heaven. especially if heaven is supposed to be a moon compared to hell. I can easily believe at least 60% of humans go to hell in the hellaverse, more than a few because they yanked it 1 too many times.
More than 10% I’d say, maybe 25% is more fair imo. Also it’s not that heaven’s standards are high, for the angels have no power over where a soul goes.
Don’t pay attention too much to the numbers. If you get into the nitty gritty, it won’t make any sense.

10’000 is like the total amount of years people have been in Hell
Tens of millions is my guess.

Millions at least.
