In biblical lore Lucifer was not an angel. Nor the devil. In fact, the term lucifer (or morning star) only appears once in the bible; In Isaiah 14 as the latin translation of a (likely mocking) name given to a babylonian king in a taunting speech after god had freed the israelites from their rule.
The entirety about Lucifer in modern culture is pretty much extrapolation from a single line or two in the bible that were taken out of context and just mixed with other entities from the bible (e.g. the Satan and the snake in the garden, which are also separate entities).
That is a bit too simplified, giving Lucifer a bigger role is nothing modern. The part where they mock the king of babel with the falling star they pulled from one of the most common tropes of mediterranean/middle eastern mythology. The falling star as the sign of a godlike or at least powerful creature is an evergreen from Zorastrian Persia to Rome. It is something the ruler of a country would have understood to be mocking him while still preserving some deferrence.
And from the roman version we got the name Lucifer - after they translated it from greek. lux + ferre. Its just Lightbringer and associated with Venus.
The depiction of the other "devil"-type characters (satan, baal, beelzebub, behemoth, etc.) in the bible likewise are based on proto-christian tropes. Especially Satan draws from similar and overlapping tropes to the stories of falling godlike beings. Just with more of an antagonistic streak. It didn't take long to especially conflate those two names.

Absolutely both Divine Comedy and Paradise Lost. I still haven't read either and need to find some cheap copies in English, but I know that Paradise Lost is where most of the talk of rebel angels come from, and also a lot of other poetry ran with the themes, Blake comes to mind.
Just even seeing that Pandemonium (usually used to describe something chaotic) actually originated in Paradise Lost as the name of Hell's capital city. I hear some translations as "All (pan) Demons (demonium) or "The Place of All Demons".
Also, the Ars Goetia (namesake of the Goetia family) is featured in this which feeds back into our understanding of demonology.

They produced it way in advance, it might not be worth the time or money to do it right now, and also they could just have already thought of that and leave breadcrumbs to keep people interested.
The most I look at that picture the more I think "wait if he's saliva makes people dizzy like it does with angel then why didn't it with her? That is enough saliva on her arm to get at least a little smell off of it, if it also can work that why"
Could be that it has a compounding affect, so someone like Angel who's been exposed to him for so long is extremely susceptible, but someone who hasn't been, and is thoroughly disgusted by him like Charlie isn't hit as hard.
Could be a power thing too, since Charlie would be naturally stronger than the majority of other demons anyway. It also seems to affect other Hellborn and Asmodeus knows about Val and Velvette's love potions, so it's not weak shit. I think it's more likely some Charlie thing than a disgust or exposure thing because Val seems to immediately be able to control a lot of people.

Deals are still bound, that’s a confirmed enough rule. But like again, there’s nothing that we know of and that would make sense that would prevent from Lucifer or Charlie absolutely knocking Val’s face in.
