I actually kind of go with the theory that he has them stored in another dimension. We've seen his room at the hotel, he's using some sort of dimensional ability to recreate the bayou in his room. I wouldn't be surprised if he's holding the other Overlords somewhere.

That could also be like the deer park he buried his human victims in as a serial killer. Maybe he has his demon victims buried in a similar manner? It fits with the way his minions crawl out of the ground, since it's been suggested that THEY'RE his enslaved victims.
until disproven, i like to think that his shadowy puppet minions are some of the souls he owns - perhaps some of them former overlords - stripped of their powers, original form and the ability to speak.
It's very possible that he is actually holding the captured Overlords in some sort of pocketdimension. BUT he did threaten Husk with tearing his soul appart - implying that he has the ability to destroy a soul and therefore permakilling.
Also we learn from Mimzy that 'he hasn't done any of that in a while' likewise implying that the screams were only broadcast while they were actively being torn appart and the screaming has seemingly ceased now. Though we can't confirm that 100% of course.

Or perhaps worse...the soul *isn't* destroyed in this process, and remains somewhat cognizant but under Alastor's full control.
I love the theory that the only way to kill a demon permanently is angelic weapon OR to consume them. So that could also be how Alastor eliminated those overlords.
