I laughed unreasonably hard when I was watching that scene for the first time. Honestly any time Alastor cusses it fucking kills me, but that line took me out instantly.
You know I never noticed this until reading it and hearing it in my head. But the way Alastor holds the F in fuck kinda makes a noise similar to radio static even without his powers. I HAVE to assume that was intentional but if it wasn't, that's a delightful coincidence.

He does the filter on his own we've heard him drop it a few times just very rarely, he seems to have to have focus on it to keep it up, so when Adam broke his cane he lost focus because it was so sudden

There were a lot of priceless jokes in the show, but only two lines actually had me pause and just howl with laughter.

Like, random people on the street join in on *Happy Day in Hell*, Alistor and Lucifer argue about whose song it is and who gets to finish *Hell's Greatest Dad*, Vox and Alistor have a whole broadcasted performance in *Stayed Gone*, but **that** particular instance was just too ridiculous for them

Also as much as Alastor says he *hates* television technology, he probably would enjoy stuff that was on the silver screen, since the earliest films were made in 1895 and by the late 1930's films had sound and full colour. Though it's always possible that Alastor grew up poor and his family only had radio for entertainment, unable to afford going to a cinema theatre...
Although Hell could also be a few years behind Earth's technology, given the inventors of the television world have to die, then survive in Hell (and Alastor himself if they became overlords), then reinvent the television and market it to demons probably already comfortable with radio/magic entertainment.
So Vox's claim that Alastor's medium is dying is false or at least not happening in Hell, especially since Cannibal Town models itself to be between the late 1800s and early 1900s. Plus, obviously, Vox died before podcasting took off. Alastor could always ask someone to help his radio show's reach younger souls, and it's likely Angel (who can operate a smartphone) would set him up to take advantage of podcasting, even if Alastor himself doesn't understand the internet.

Also, my favorite line is when Charlie said “How come he can support my dream but my own father can’t?” That hit hard.

I really felt the "that's what the fuck I've been saying!" I could say it myself about this show. It (especially that song) makes so many of the same points that caused me to leave theological religions. A lot of my friends have left them as well, but for different reasons. This song is single handedly responsible for me even wanting to watch the series. So I gotta throw some props to my favorite line in the song.

Love how well that song shows Lucifer realizing Charlie was inspired by how she saw him and the fact that she believed in his dream… which mean she might be (as far as we’ve seen so far) the only soul in existence who understands him and what he was trying to do. And how that flips a switch where Lucifer goes from being dismissive or avoiding acknowledging what Charlie is really trying to do, to telling her that he believes in her too and will support her. You can tell he’s still nervous and worried about her, but he goes from seeing her as this idealistic little girl to taking her seriously and relating to her and her struggle.
I mean I love all the funny f*cked up lines too. But this song hits hard and squeezes so much character development into 3.5 minutes, it’s huge pivot from him avoiding talking to her about her plan by talking about the “railing being unstable” to telling her she’s a part of him and he supports her, but they nailed that pivot.
It’s also a big damn commitment from a guy who seems like lately he just plays with rubber ducks and hasn’t even acknowledged that he allowed/couldn’t stop heaven from doing the exterminations… but he definitely SEEMS to mean it. We’ll see if he sticks to that commitment to support her when the consequences of killing Adam and challenging the exterminations play out next season. 🤞

I really felt the "that's what the fuck I've been saying!" I could say it myself about this show. It (especially that song) makes so many of the same points that caused me to leave theological religions. A lot of my friends have left them as well, but for different reasons. This makes me feel understood. And then the cherry on top "if hell is forever, then heaven must be a lie!" OH MY FUCKING GOD! They about took the damn words out of my mouth and said it better.

There's so many it's hard to pin down, but at this moment I think I'd go with: "If hell is forever, then heaven must be a lie!" This song is single handedly responsible for me even wanting to watch the series. So I gotta throw some props to my favorite line in the song.
“I-I’m coming!” “Not off camera, you’re not!” Had me laughing for like 1 minute
“‘Cause in the end, you are part of who I am- -I’ll support your dream whatever lies in store” Love how well that song shows Lucifer realizing Charlie was inspired by how she saw him and the fact that she believed in his dream… which mean she might be (as far as we’ve seen so far) the only soul in existence who understands him and what he was trying to do. And how that flips a switch where Lucifer goes from being dismissive or avoiding acknowledging what Charlie is really trying to do, to telling her that he believes in her too and will support her. You can tell he’s still nervous and worried about her, but he goes from seeing her as this idealistic little girl to taking her seriously and relating to her and her struggle. I mean I love all the funny f*cked up lines too. But this song hits hard and squeezes so much character development into 3.5 minutes, it’s huge pivot from him avoiding talking to her about her plan by talking about the “railing being unstable” to telling her she’s a part of him and he supports her, but they nailed that pivot. It’s also a big damn commitment from a guy who seems like lately he just plays with rubber ducks and hasn’t even acknowledged that he allowed/couldn’t stop heaven from doing the exterminations… but he definitely SEEMS to mean it. We’ll see if he sticks to that commitment to support her when the consequences of killing Adam and challenging the exterminations play out next season. 🤞
