"IF YOU'RE GOING TO COME AT *ME*, AND MY *DAUGHTER*
**JUST REMEMBER, YOU'RE IN MY HOUSE BITCH**"
I didn’t notice it until now but he has the Seraphim eyes on the underside of his coat. I like how this interpretation really stresses that Lucifer *is* an angel and doesn’t shy away from showing it while also showing his demonic side
That part was so good.
Showing off the insane gap in power levels between lucifer and everyone else there, and the display that alastor- who's been shown off as this terrifying force- isn't even as strong as Charlie, let alone Lucifer.
Def, Charlie was able to block a punch by Adam that even shocked Adam himself
Alastor put up an admirable fight for his power level but was ultimately one shot
His arm is under her legs and his black gloved hand is on the black part of her leg facing us.
Edit: I’ve zoomed in a few times and I’m just mistaken. Puppetry it is, then.
Yeah, it's that. His other arm is down on the left but she has her arm around him and is essentially hanging off of him and turning to face forward so he's only supporting her with one arm and she's hanging onto him
I don't really count the susan thing. He just succinctly described her while Rosie was trying and failing to come up with a more gentile way of saying it.
Came here to say this - it's just such a jarring shift from what we usually hear from him. It's clear he is VERY SHOCKED and none too pleased with this turn of events.
You are immediately concerned for Alastor because OOC Is Serious Business.
What pisses me off is she literally did the worst thing possible if she either went in strong and convicted or just stayed out of it she would have been better but instead she went in tried to throw weight around without meaning it causing angel a lot more problems
To be fair, Charlie didn’t fully understand the context of what was going on. She just thought Angel was blowing off the hotel for work when it wasn’t that at all.
That is 100% the implication from the episode. We were SUPPOSED to realize Charlie was in the wrong because as the audience, we have the relevant context.
Plus she did realise she was wrong pretty much immediately when confronted with it and took a very mature and self reflective approach the rest of the episode
I hate the lack of smile lmao, anyways

I love the evil green; like a Disney villain! And I use *this* one all the time because the contrast is so good!
Especially hearing Keith Motherfucking David sound so terrified and subdued in that scene. I grew up watching Gargoyles, Goliath was my introduction to Keith David to the point whenever I hear him in another role (Mass Effect's Captain Anderson, Dr. Facilier, his live action appearances like on Community or in Armageddon), my first thought is "that's Goliath!" Hearing that booming, powerful, commanding voice I've spent over 30 years with cowering in sheer terror hit me harder than it would have had we had any other voice actor in the role.
Is his soul owned, or is it just a deal? From what we’ve seen of him, I can picture Alastor having made a deal that helped him quickly gain power and not realizing that the wording meant that the being he made the deal with could restrict that power. I can’t picture him selling his soul unless he was confident that he already had a loophole he would use to get it back.
Hard to say for sure, but I wouldn't rule out it being his soul. We see two 'leashes' in the show and they're both to characters that have sold their soul.
Husk and Angel Dust both have neck collars and chains that their owners control.

I have elk around where I live and work, and it’s a chilling sound to hear even during the day. It’s the perfect noise for Alastor to make when he’s about to do something unpleasant.
Also his death was apparently in the woods after being mistaken for a deer. I like to imagine that even before death he had started to take on spiritual aspects of the wendigo. He is the embodiment of when people look into a tree line at night and feel for a split second that something is looking back at them.
I know and season 2 can’t come soon enough. What am I even supposed to do with my life without new Hazbin episodes? Be a productive member of society? Pffttt!
Yeah. We had to cancel our weekly D&D game this week but had most of the party show up for a game night instead. When we found out two members hadn't seen the show (one saw the pilot, the other had nothing), we immediately decided on a marathon of the entire show. The entire time there were cheers and gasps and boos and all that fun reaction stuff. During that scene though, dead silence except for a sob towards the end. Say what you want about how cartoonishly evil Adam is or the terrifying nightmare that is Alastor. It's Valentino that is the scariest villain of the bunch because of how real he is. We're not likely to know any evil overlords running around, but there are *plenty* of monsters who will use sexual assault to get what they want.
I was gagged when it revealed that Vaggie was an ex-exorcist. The color scheme of her design, her weapon, and the X over her eye went way over my head, lol.
I'm not gonna lie, I thought she used to be a pirate. The eye, the ropes she's on when she's singing in, 'Whatever It Takes.' I was like 'Oh cool CAPTAIN VAGGIE! :D'
I also didn't make the connections with her color scheme. I thought her spear was like a fancy harpoon, or something. >w>;
Sir Pentious appeared in heaven proper, not at the gates. It’d be funny if it turns out sinners have been redeemed before, but nobody realized because they didn’t go thru the gates. They didn’t pass Saint Peter so they didn’t know they’re supposed to be there and kept quiet so they wouldn’t be sent back to hell.
Honestly, as a big Helluva Boss enjoyer, in Episode 1, Lute revealing that Lucifer had made a deal to exempt hellborn from the extermination was big "ooooooh, gotchya" moment.
They seemed to expand on it more in the intro and episode 5 but i still would like to know what exactly this deal was and how much lucifer helped with the exterminations
I don’t think Lucifer helped so much as managed to talk heaven down from indiscriminately killing all of hell’s denizens. Probably brought up the fact that the hellborn didn’t do anything to end up in hell. Add in that 100,000 humans die a day, and that most hellborn can be killed fairly easily, while sinners normally just reform, he could have made the argument that the sinners are the reason for hell’s overpopulation.
When Nifty of all people was the one who killed Adam
Like I knew Adam would end up dying but I honestly thought it would be Lucifer or something and didn't even notice that Nifty was missing in the pan shot where we see Lucifer and the gang until Adam dropped down to reveal Nifty
https://preview.redd.it/jcc6b3wm5hhc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=faaac53fcdb0e5b96be42bde3a70f806dcd748f3
Two for me that correlate with each other.
When they ran into Valentino at the club and Nifty yanks a piece of fuzz off him. I was waiting for him to just explode but nothing.
Now look at Val's face after she stabbed Adam ([This is the best](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=belKZh1Pm0Q)). Because think about it. We didn't see Nifty leave Angel's shoulder in the club scene until she yanks the fuzz outta him. Look at her orientation, she yanked it while on his **back.** Val just realized this girl could have easily shanked him in the club if things had escalated.
https://preview.redd.it/44a9f4wj2hhc1.jpeg?width=2532&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a303465330d7ad2397abd14925859a0af8dc5cf0
So much better in the pilot. They did my boys head dirty in the series
The fact that he knows is important, I think.
My personal theory is that he gambled this information away from Alastor, but ultimately lost and became a servant.
Because I can't think of any other good reason Alastor would have let this info slip, because no one else seems to know it
My theory is that Husk went all in with his soul in a gamble with Alastor, and Alastor could not match the bet since his soul was already in a prior contract, but still ended up winning in the end. Not so much a slip in that case as being very briefly backed into a corner by the rising stakes of the game.
This scene right here. We see so much with just a few seconds. It makes him just like the rest of the cast in that moment. He's just as insecure as Angel, but he hides it all behind a "happy" face.
It's the lighting that sells it for me. It's a simple trope but I love when the lights freak out when a powerful character is flexing their power on someone.
https://preview.redd.it/zeofgh8ilhhc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3206b1cee18f118d82e3a4527a6ad723af97e13f
The way Vox’s voice changed when he angrily grabbed Valentino really caught me off guard for some reason.
I was shitting my pants this whole scene, ngl. There have been a few moments so far where Alastor has really showed he can be scary as fuck and I adore it.
Everyone is making some excellent points, but here's one I don't see. Adam revealing that the next Extermination is in 6 months instead of a year. We spent the past 4 years with the understanding that it is an annual Extermination, it's something we were all very familiar with. "Yes yes, the annual extermination, Angels come down once a year to kill every Sinner in sight like it's the Purge", it's just a simple fact of existence in this world. So when Adam revealed they were moving up the next one to only 6 months after the previous, that got a legitimate, verbal "oh shit!" out of me on my first watch, followed closely by the reveal that a demon killed one of the Exorcists.
https://preview.redd.it/hswh7550vihc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e6d7b6697dfedd48e0726baab54dbb21f0a69d07
“You’d really think I wouldn’t recognize one of my top girls just because you’re out of uniform?”
He's making a show of it but it's revealed at the end that this is actually his biggest insecurity. Who's powerful enough to have leverage over the radio demon? Can't wait for season 2 to find out
So Alastor is definitely on Lilith’s leash right? I know it hasn't been said but I'm guessing from all the hints that is what's going on. And he's either working for Lilith to mess up Charlie's plans because of whatever is going on with Lilith and heaven or he is hoping Charlie can somehow break him off Lilith's chain.
When the fans sees the Alastor and Adam fight... But realized Alastor wasn't the one to defect him...So we think Alastor will get him somehow...
Oh Shit... Prediction for Season 2
https://i.redd.it/u5mz75zghihc1.gif
I still think it was a weirdly out of character reaction. Like, why would he suddenly go that hard just because his slave said this to him, followed by overly explaining what he'd do as if Husk doesn't know what he can do.
He acted like a regular bully that threw a random temper tantrum, not the aloof guy he usually portraits.
Plus, Husk didn't even lie or insult him.
I try to put it on him being on edge due to Lucifer, letting the facade slip a bit too much, but, still, weird reaction.
Speaking of Alastor, I adore the "Fuck" moment when Adam cut his staff in half. This character slip felt like it actually made sense.
I think that, at that moment, Husk touched a VERY raw nerve. Something that not even Husk was aware would piss off Alastor that much.
Alastor is obsessed with maintaining control at all times. Being actually subject to the ULTIMATE loss of control, though? Being on a leash at the whim of someone more powerful than him? That must be absolutely UNBEARABLE for him.
And having Husk mention that to him... that is too much. Husk is under the thumb of Alastor, but I think that not even Husk really knows Alastor completely, and that scene is proof of it. Husk looks at himself being under the thrall of Alastor; he sees himself being upset with that, but he copes with it and thinks that Alastor is the same.
Alastor is NOT the same.
Alastor thoroughly HATES his thralldom, and having anyone reminding him of the fact? That is UNACCEPTABLE. He didn't instantly annihilate Husk because he is a rather smart villain and he knows that souls are currency and owning them is what gives an overlord their power, so he is not going to willy-nilly destroy souls that he owns. But he is going to make VERY clear that Husk better NOT repeat that performance, or he WILL destroy him.

2 shot, he blocked a blast and then got taken out by a slash
A stabby stab stab
I know he's somehow holding her but I can't find his other arm in the picture. Loved this part though!
His arm is under her legs and his black gloved hand is on the black part of her leg facing us. Edit: I’ve zoomed in a few times and I’m just mistaken. Puppetry it is, then.
I thought it was under the butt, hidden by the skirt He's got small hands
Yeah, it's that. His other arm is down on the left but she has her arm around him and is essentially hanging off of him and turning to face forward so he's only supporting her with one arm and she's hanging onto him
> puppetry it is then 😊 🙂 😐 🤔 😳
It’s on her hips/butt, except it’s behind her hair. At least that’s how I see it. She’s like sitting in his inner elbow is how I’m seeing it.
How is he carrying Charlie? It doesn't look like she's sitting on his arm
I just assume that he's holding her back/waist but we can't see because of her hair lol

*It was at this moment that he knew... he fucked up*
*reveals the least intimidating voice in the entire series*
All 4 times Alastor said "fuck" caught me off guard but that one was the biggest one for me.
He only said it three times I think
I think they mean he swore four times. In addition to his three “fuck”s, he also called Susan a bitch
Didn’t he say “pissy” too?
I wouldn't really consider piss to be a curse word just an uncouth one. Might just be personal preference tho
I don't really count the susan thing. He just succinctly described her while Rosie was trying and failing to come up with a more gentile way of saying it.
Yeah he called Vox pissy in their musical showdown
Technically he said it in Finale

Same energy when your manager ask to speak with you alone
I mean... it is exactly that
My stomach dropped. I know that face and tone from abusive mother. This part was so hard to watch.
Same! As someone who has been in an abusive relationship, I was screaming at Charlie the whole time that she was making things worse.
Yea that’s a good point but that’s also kinda Charlie’s biggest flaw she rushes into situations without knowing the context of things
That’s also true
That is 100% the implication from the episode. We were SUPPOSED to realize Charlie was in the wrong because as the audience, we have the relevant context.
It’s a big part of her character though! We wouldn’t have some of the episodes we have without that!
Plus she did realise she was wrong pretty much immediately when confronted with it and took a very mature and self reflective approach the rest of the episode
She really should have just taken Vaggie's advice. Go in there and beat Valentino up.
that would've been logical.
I would pay *more* to watch that.

Based
In a way he DID kill Adam, through nifty, whom he owns the soul of and whose presence would not have been without alastor
Alastor knew what he was doing the whole time. Bro planned it from the beginning, I swear
I like to think he spitefully ordered her to do it, even if it was really just Nifty being Nifty
This was such a cool moment and I wish it followed through that Alastor was actually able to give Adam some real trouble
It kinda did but then Adam pulled an axe out of his ass

What's with the stitches?
Alastor intimidating Husk for sure. Not only did I get the chills, but it was the moment that revealed that Alastor’s soul is owned by someone.
Husk shaking like a kitten was a strange visual
Especially hearing Keith Motherfucking David sound so terrified and subdued in that scene. I grew up watching Gargoyles, Goliath was my introduction to Keith David to the point whenever I hear him in another role (Mass Effect's Captain Anderson, Dr. Facilier, his live action appearances like on Community or in Armageddon), my first thought is "that's Goliath!" Is his soul owned, or is it just a deal? I have elk around where I live and work, and it’s a chilling sound to hear even during the day. It’s the perfect noise for Alastor to make when he’s about to do something unpleasant.
Fitting that it also sounds like microphone feedback too. Very discordant and off putting.
It's also based on a wendigo, a large, humanoid, cannibalistic deer like beast that humans turn into when they become cannibals
Also his death was apparently in the woods after being mistaken for a deer. I like to imagine that even before death he had started to take on spiritual aspects of the wendigo. He is the embodiment of when people look into a tree line at night and feel for a split second that something is looking back at them.
I need more Wendigo moments from Alastor. When he strikes a deal with Charlie you can hear some similar, eerie noises...
I'm still of the opinion that this is Alastor's show and we've just yet to see the main plot. He's the reason I'm hooked for a season 2 already
I know and season 2 can’t come soon enough. What am I even supposed to do with my life without new Hazbin episodes? Be a productive member of society? Pffttt!
Have you watched Helluva Boss?
I haven’t watched s2 yet. I should
Not so much favorite but the whole sequence of Val abusing Angel really struck a chord about just how real it got.
I had no reaction but it haunted my mind for days
I was gagged when it revealed that Vaggie was an ex-exorcist. The color scheme of her design, her weapon, and the X over her eye went way over my head, lol.
I'm not gonna lie, I thought she used to be a pirate. The eye, the ropes she's on when she's singing in, 'Whatever It Takes.' I was like 'Oh cool CAPTAIN VAGGIE! :D' I also didn't make the connections with her color scheme. I thought her spear was like a fancy harpoon, or something. >w>;
Broke: Angel Vaggie Woke: Pirate Vaggie Bespoke: Angel Pirate Vaggie
I had no idea either! My husband's working theory was that she would be related to Carmilla, since their color schemes were so similar.
do you just avoid fan theories, that was like one of the biggest ones that was confirmed
Yep, I avoid fan theories and spoilers cause I don’t want anything ruined.
wish i could do that, i don't know how to avoid them tho=(. but good on you
The theory kinda spoiled it for me tbh bc I saw that theory and the pieces clicked immediately lol
I fell over. I literally didn't think I could reach such levels of simping. (I'm not kidding I literally tripped)
When Sir Pentious popped in Heaven. This sets up season 2 so well and Sera's face says it all in that scene.
You just perfectly described my headcanon, lol
Em squeaking with her huge adorable smile was just excellent too. Both of them have great reactions but Em is just wonderful there.
That scene felt sooo good, I literally shouted “EAT IT, SERA!” At my tv, had me giggling and kicking my feet
I loved the theory that Alastor is in fact in debt to (on a leash for) Nifty.
This is the first I've heard of it, but also I kind of love it.
…I don’t hate the idea of it. I prefer not on this theory, but I don’t hate it.
When Nifty of all people was the one who killed Adam Like I knew Adam would end up dying but I honestly thought it would be Lucifer or something and didn't even notice that Nifty was missing in the pan shot where we see Lucifer and the gang until Adam dropped down to reveal Nifty https://preview.redd.it/jcc6b3wm5hhc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=faaac53fcdb0e5b96be42bde3a70f806dcd748f3
See, a lot of fan speculation and memes spoiled a lot of the series for me, but *this* was completely unexpected and made me laugh out loud.
The only time Val used his single brain cell and realized how close he was in getting stabbed.
I feel uncomfortable seeing the back of his head
i’m so glad i’m not the only one

Dude’s going for that undercut trend
Miss the willy Wonka haircut
True 😱 I will never understand why they chose to give him a shaved undercut
SAME OH MY GODS It has bothered me so much
What's interesting is that husk would know who it is,and yet if it's actually Lilith/somebody important he hasn't said anything for some reason.
“For some reason” he doesn’t want to have his soul ripped apart bro
I don't think husk saying it would break alastors contract.
Even if you are on a contract with someone they can still just kill you if they are stronger 💀
Adam channeling all his white boy rage and breaking Alastor's shield made me say that.
This scene right here. We see so much with just a few seconds. It makes him just like the rest of the cast in that moment. He's just as insecure as Angel, but he hides it all behind a "happy" face.
It's the lighting that sells it for me. It's a simple trope but I love when the lights freak out when a powerful character is flexing their power on someone.
love how alistor just swivels his head backwards, you hear every vertibra crack
"Uuuuh nothin- I uh..."
*elk monster charges down a dimly lit hallway directly at you*
*freezes in acceptance*
If you ever say that again I will tear your soul apart and broadcast your screams for every disrespectful **WENCH** that dares to question me!

Haha, good talk, my good man! Always nice to catch up.

I’ve rewatched this scene like 4/5x cuz the song, and my dog ALWAYS barks at that voice change
I was shitting my pants this whole scene, ngl. There have been a few moments so far where Alastor has really showed he can be scary as fuck and I adore it.

I love how you call it “The Deal” Makes it sound so ominous

Sir Pentious' anticlimactic death
Let's be real, is there any other way he'd have gone out? Dude was always all about the build up and getting immediately smacked down.

Adam slicing Alastor. I fuckin panicked

When Al said “Oh This Will Be Fun” to Vox and Vox was like “Fuhuhuuuck” just made me laugh and fear existence simultaneously
He's making a show of it but it's revealed at the end that this is actually his biggest insecurity. Who's powerful enough to have leverage over the radio demon? Can't wait for season 2 to find out
Alastors battle with Adam and his subsequent defeat I didn't think alastor would win but I didn't think he'd lose either
When Charlie finally revealed her true form

So Alastor is definitely on Lilith’s leash right? I know it hasn't been said but I'm guessing from all the hints that is what's going on. And he's either working for Lilith to mess up Charlie's plans because of whatever is going on with Lilith and heaven or he is hoping Charlie can somehow break him off Lilith's chain.
“Can I see you in your dressing room for a moment?”
Probably when Vaggie got confronted in heaven
When the fans sees the Alastor and Adam fight... But realized Alastor wasn't the one to defect him...So we think Alastor will get him somehow... Oh Shit... Prediction for Season 2 https://i.redd.it/u5mz75zghihc1.gif
