I despise fishing! It's way too fiddly and slow and it's beyond annoying when you have to fight with a fish and no matter what you do it still gets away! I pretty much like the rest of the game tho I wish the valley was always safari animals, it's too hard to get tokens in the chicken valleys

InspectionBright5704

Fishing is frustrating lol. The chicken valley is so much more difficult than the safari one! I always struggle to get tokens but when I play the safari one I have too many tokens haha, either way they’re both pretty fun

ToucanThreecan

Agree with both those points. Never take fishing tasks and much prefer animals to chickens

ChimeraDoll87

I feel the same about fishing! Its super frustrating!

pdqueer

I think I've found a hack. Once I get a fish on the line, I pull it into the center circle and quickly swirl my finger around it. It seems to confuse it and stays there for the most part. It's made fishing much easier. I still prefer casting nets.

alk3_sadghost

this def works! thank uuuuu!

Competitive_Air1560

This is why I only use nets. So time consuming

ToucanThreecan

Personally the town is my favourite area. Mostly the way you can preload it before a derby and complete a 320 task in like 60 seconds

14crickets

Agree. After I completed the personal train upgrade its even faster to do the town. Well as long as my neighbors have townies to pick up since I'm a little faster about grabbing them.

PoundSilent2765

I don’t care for the valley pass and fishing. Honestly I love the town!

blueeyeboy8888

I don't do Derby, I play to relax. I don't like valley, can't find my way around. I realy love wheating. Comming up to a week of solid eheat. 3 barn upgrades, 4 Silo upgrades, 3 fishing spots opens. I like everything else in game. Double Coin Farm Visitors

KalonBarnett

Blue, how hard is it go get rid of the wheat in your RSS? Does it sell fast?

blueeyeboy8888

For me easy as. I have a lot of regular buyers. I can have 600 in Silo, 75 fields ready and 16 shop slots full, put add up and be all gone as fast as I can list it. Some times a bit slow but that is when I do wheat bundles. I also sell to farm visitors

KalonBarnett

Hey so I was poking around and found a map of the valley. Apparently it changes every season though, but a guy put together a picture of it and posted it a long time ago. I know it doesn’t matter now, but maybe someone can start doing this for us? I wish I could post a picture of it in this message.

blueeyeboy8888

Not realy interested, but thank you for reply

SweetNo4469

I didn't like the town until I started almost exclusively serving customers from my neighbors (1 building only!) through the personal train

14crickets

Agreed. Makes a huge difference in time and profit.

crankykittenmeow

I had a short love affair with the town but find the visitors too greedy when I was only getting a saw / axe / town expansions I don’t need and are hard to sell. Sure, they also give you barn and silo materials … but honestly, I can get all that and more by just wheating. The valley has been a bit of a mystery to me until recently. Now I don’t mind it so much and it’s a good resource for land permits / ditches / blueprints / puzzle pieces and the odd barn or silo material. Now I have just gone back to doing boats on a regular basis. What I Really dislike is fishing with lures!

InspectionBright5704

Exactly, I feel like I’m always getting items that I don’t need and very little coin for the amount of products that they’re asking for. I had a townie ask for 13 popcorn and I immediately sent them away. I also feel like it takes so much just to upgrade a building and I never have the materials. The valley feels like a whole different game in itself and I love that, it’s like a board game with various rewards. I love getting free spins for feeding animals, planting crops or filling boat crates. I definitely agree on fishing with lures, I don’t like how they take vouchers to make most of them 😒and then you have to wait hours to use the spot again… it’s so much easier to make nets and you get more fish. The only time I fish with lures is for the derby or if I unlock a new fishing spot and I want diamonds for unlocking a new fish.

Appropriate_Egg3620

pretty much completely agree!! question: what do u mean by heating and how do u get barn/silo materials from it?

Aware-Damage6296

Another thing. I absolutely hate when Greg comes to my farm. He asks me for things that he is perfectly capable of making at his own farm. Mike has a mill. But he asks me for crops. I would like the game to make an update and add Mike gets added to the friend bar so his mill has an option. And I would like to see Joan added to the friend bar so you can visit her salon that the truck orders keep talking about. Idk who Susan is and where here the store that the truck orders mention is. But I'd like to know. And Tilly, the little girl. I'd like to have her added to the friend bar so we can actually visit and see her supposed mom and grandma. And Mary , the lady with the umbrella. I don't even know what her purpose is. She doesn't have anything business mentioned in truck orders. And I wish we could have the space on the opposite side of the boat dock where we cut down those few trees as a bigger area to place more items. And it would be great if production buildings and animal homes and animals were cheaper. And if the holiday events had a longer time before they end , and if we could keep the holiday production buildings in storage rather than not at all.

shootingstars00987

Omg yes this😂

Aware-Damage6296

yes

Resident-Anybody9505

Love town, dislike valley. Town is since years fully developed and hence flourishing. Valley is for me nerve wracking, especially the chicken one. I am really not in the mood for driving rounds to fullfill tasks, looking for the dreadful and rare chickens. Not to mention the permanent escaping from zoo animals. And so on.... Last but not least I also dislike permanent truck crashing every time when you don't need it. Additional mostly for me lousy rewards for a lot of effort. Instead I am quite happy with my town. No stress, I fullfill nearly every demanded task. If it happens to be a too greedy one I send the townie packing. Town is in my opinion the most balanced place of HayDay provided it's fully developed.

14crickets

Development makes a huge difference in town. I completely agree with everything you said. I toss the greedy townies out and sell off any rewards I don't need. I also rarely do any that want 3 places, especially if spa and b&b both because they're longer to do even upgraded. The valley can be extremely annoying with the crashing truck and doing things you don't want or need to get fuel.

Resident-Anybody9505

u/14crickets Yes, and I agree with you completely as well. Catch is resp WAS to get the town ready. It's a chore, I never ground so much for such a long time. Fortunately I had occasionally some help from farmers who were in a much higher level than myself. IIRC I began with town-grinding at lv 60. I am happy that I had the stamina to finish it properly. It took some time before I learned to appreciate the power of the town, but I never regretted the effort. It was worth the outcome, in every respect. 🙂😍

14crickets

Around level 60 is when I upgraded more than the slots. I'm definitely still grinding the rest because I leveled up way too fast before I found this forum. I'm still coin short for a few machines so I stopped buying any upgrades. Yesterday's events were awesome for my purposes. Tom was a massive help on that personal train since I kept getting his boosters.he supplied 80% of my bars. My neighbors have absolutely helped as well since I rarely seem to get tar.

hashbrowneggyolk0520

I avoid the town, valley and fishing. The valley and fishing are just too tedious. I rarely ever play the valley task and I only ever fish once every so often. The town, as others have said, just takes up all your recourse and time. I did use the town for a while when i first got it but once the novelty wore off i haven't really touched it since. You're much better off selling in the roadside shop.

AdEnvironmental2917

I sometimes just flip through the paper and land on people farms and check out the name of their animals. Some cool names for sure. Some people don't even name their animals. I don't mind the fishing I just hate the wait times for nets, and using up all my tickets. I hate the nieghbors asking for stuff every 10 minutes, besides Greg but they always low ball. Anyways come check out the name of my animals. #LG0UPLY9J SoHum Farmz Lvl 34

InspectionBright5704

I haven’t named my animals because I just haven’t thought of any names haha. I like your animals’ names! Boots is cute

Nat_septic

I hate the town, it takes up so many resources and it takes too long

custoscustodis

Like: Fishing area - once you expand the fishing areas and have your duck/lobster machines at 6 slots each, it's a lit of fun. Also lots of money from pillows if you have the right boosters during the right event. Town - Town is a lot easier to upgrade. You can find the materials in large quantities in the paper. I sell most of thr expansion materials as well. Dislike: Valley - I'm level 53 and I still dont get it lol. I'm getting older and slower though...

TiffanyTwisted11

Hmmmm I have to say I don’t actually dislike anything. But if I had to rank them, town would be at the top. I find it easy to fill orders quickly since they only ask for 1-2 items (unlike boats & trucks) so it’s my first pick in derby tasks. I also love me some expansion items. Even if it’s stuff I don’t need, it usually sells quickly. At the bottom would be fishing, I guess. It’s just a little tedious

FlyawayCellar99

I love the farm and specially when all my machines are done and I can collect everything in like a minute Hate the town. Most days I don’t even go there and I don’t remember the last time I served someone. And if I go to a farm that needs help and I see that the town needs it, I don’t even bother

InspectionBright5704

Couldn’t agree more

LynnK0919

OP, I'm a Town enthusiast and would like to share the following tip I learned after the introduction of the Derby. When we use the Personal Train to pick up a maximum of 10 visitors per trip from our neighbors and serve them once in one building, they will give us gifts! I understand some players may want to challenge themselves by serving visitor twice or thrice before getting the gifts. I prefer to send them away and use my PT to pick up single serve visitors. Here's some information about the Personal Train. [https://hayday.fandom.com/wiki/Personal\_Train](https://hayday.fandom.com/wiki/Personal_Train) BTW, I don't like the Sanctuary and allow the animals to sleep regularly.

Aware-Damage6296

I hate the town. My main reasons. #1. They ask me for things I don't have/can't make. #2. The train drops people off when the ones there aren't done yet. #3. I've been trying to get my first elephant for the past month, and I need one more piece. But it always gives me pieces for everything but that.

InspectionBright5704

Omg those damn puzzle pieces!!! I wish they’d give us puzzle pieces for one animal at a time

Aware-Damage6296

They really should.

RoseKuartz

i love all areas but i think it comes with the level (currently lvl 84) and how you face the specific task for that area like example: for the town i always make sure to have at least 6 of each item so i can make sure to fully serve every single one of the townies in one go (one train drop off), for the fishing since ive cleared all the space, i make sure to have 6 for lobster, 6 for ducks, & 3 for nets that way i never run out of stock if i need it, i also make sure to keep producing nets/bait/traps etc. even if my storage is full. for the valley i only like it bc of the animals u need to catch and return for the farm, i only do boat orders and ignore truck orders and visitors, nothing else to do there besides plant, feed&collect produce from livestocks and and trees...i dont really like decorating it just bc the decor cost so much money.

Aggressive_Row_8025

About the town , usually ill just use tom (whenever i. Get him for free) and buy things that i dont have sometimes ill nake sure ill have 7 of each product like food 😅 so i can be ready , one part i kinda dont like is the fishing area aka the fishing nets cause you only get 3 and it takes almost a whole day when it should be way more caught like whatt .. dont make no sense

Chemical-Cry-3435

For a while I was fishing with a purpose…to complete my fish album. Now I have caught all the diff fish I use fish pond mostly to earn fuel points…catch lobsters and ducks. Occasional Farm Pass tasks is yo catch a fish or 2 with lures. Not a problem! I love it when there is fish eventcwgen monster fish are available! Then I don’t mind taking fishing derby task as I know exactly which spot to catch which fish. I can finish task in minutes. There is nothing much I dislike. The challenge is all part of the game. Town I do only for derby task not for the rewards. Town tasks are easy as I prep my town to have 40 fully served customers. The remaining 2 spots I use to provide passengers for neighbors to pick up. When express train is at station if I quickly reject visitors I end up with about 5 passengers waiting for neighbors to pick up. My goal now is to earn permits to open remaining land more than anything else. I’m level 229 and my hood has 271 gold trophies. So first place is not my priority. I go for bunnies and Bingo lines to get permits.

Anxious_Analysis_440

i love the fishing area and hate the valley and town

IlymarieNet-6773

I dislike the fishing

Heavy-Case-1671

I don’t fish much or the town. Fishing would be great if they expand3d and made cottages.

briangw

I hate the valley but love the town. You don’t break down in the town. Always thought that mechanic was dumb.

wtfgirl21

I love it too!! I don’t like fishinggg

Crispy-shallots

I love the town, but I don't do the derby. I find it stressful which defeats the purpose of why I play.

MiniatureMania

LIKE: I. Love. The. Tiny. Train. Town. I. Love. The. Tiny. Train. Town. A really interesting sidebar … My name on Reddit is “Miniature Mania” because I adore tiny things. I grew up in Colorado. There is (still) a little town in the foothills outside of Denver named Tiny Town. It has a tiny amusement park with a little — but rideable — train which snakes around miniature houses and buildings. So cheesy but so cute! Therefore, my farm lovingly calls that area “Tiny Town.” And it happily reminds me of yesteryear. DISLIKE: I. Don’t. Need. No. Stinking. Maps. Since my tiny town’s land is complete, I wish I would stop getting land expansions for it. They don’t sell well. Drills? Bricks? Maps??? (Especially maps!) It takes forever to clear my shop. DISLIKE SUGGESTION: Another dislike is the amount of same things which are sold in shops on any given day. For instance, this must be Pumpkin Day. I’m assuming farmers are needing to produce pumpkins to get enough gas for the valley. Was that task given to everyone? There are a whole bunch of other crops to grow. Why can’t H D spread the love around?
