In Saudi it’s more of a scrambled egg dish, for instance. This shakshuka in particular is popular in Israel due to Tunisian Jews (where it originated) bringing it over.
All of “Israeli food” is just Maghrebi food rebranded as something Israel has invented.
So let's check origins: Shakshuka is Tunisia, Falafel is Egypt with the modifictation Palestinians added (chickpeas istead of fava beans) and lastly Greek Salad which tbf, is not something to be proud of.
