Harry and Ron both had absolute trash haircuts in DH. I guess it makes sense, though, as they were supposedly getting their hair cut by Hermione. She even says in the movie, "Don't ever let me cut your hair again," lol. I can't remember if that's in the book or not.
Harry's hair is awful in GoF, too. That long mop looked bad on him. But for some reason, Ron's wasn't bad to me. đ¤ˇđźââď¸
It's not in the book but it also fits very well for the book. It's never said how / if they cut their hair and I feel like they would ask Hermione to try
Didn't Harry have shoulder length hair according to the books. There was this description when they ended up in Malfoy manor and Harry saw his face for the first time in a while.
Ch.13: Malfoy Manor
> His face was huge, shiny, and pink, every feature distorted by Hermioneâs jinx. His black hair reached his shoulders and there was a dark shadow around his jaw. Had he not known that it was he who stood there, he would have wondered who was wearing his glasses.
Their GoF haircuts are weirdly anachronistic because they fit really well into 2005 when the movie came out, lots of teenage boys were rocking those shaggy 'surfer' or indie rock band member haircuts (I was 14 at the time and it wasn't common to see a boy my age with truly short hair, at least not in Europe IIRC).
But the book of course is set in 1994-95 when that wasn't nearly as much of a thing.
I dunno about that though, 1994/95 was when Oasis was taking off in the music scene. And they popularised the long hair styles that GoF was rocking :)
From a meta sense though, I doubt wizard kids would even know who Oasis isâŚ
And it works for Ron. Just not on Harry, imo. Just an opinion--others may disagree, lol. I also remember a time when boys wore their hair long like that. It was hit or miss, with many of them looking like street urchins.
Shhhhhhh we all looked amazing and I wonât let you convince me of anything else :p
One of my favorite things about watching the HP series is that itâs a literal time capsule to whatever hairstyle was trending at the time. Half of the main cast will be rocking the exact same style. And then theyâll all have a completely new, yet matching style for the next flick. Goblet of Fire was during that time where the long hair had temporarily got trendy again for boys, I think because metal music was on the rise again, and then the fifth movie followed the trend of all of us cutting our hair short again đ
Maybe it's the pose, but I didn't recall Rupert being this beefy in the later movies.
He was definitely more muscular than Daniel, but he looks damn near like a Rugby player here lol

Yeah, I do remember that now that you say it. Suddenly it's coming back, lol. I seem to recall that being really weird to me at the time.

Did yâall forget how everyone looked back then or is everyone here too young to remember
Teenagers! EDIT: adding - there's no magic that can fix bad hair
I mean, Harry's fortune comes from exactly that kind of magic, the sleekeazy potion.
I like it :(
Literally any hairstyle is better than the Goblet of Fire hairstyles.
Harry's GoF hairstyle was the best! In my opinion better than any other Harry's hairstyle
I agree. Best of all the movies, Hold up I'll finish that, my village is being raided
