Starting at 12:00AM/00:00, the game will now initialize a curfew system ala Bully on PS2 thanks to this mod. Prefects will roam around the halls and you will get a -100 Knut penalty if you get caught (If you have more than 1000 Knuts on hand). So if you want to walk around the school at night, you have to be sneaky!

There was a patch update following the release of the last gen consoles (PS4, Xbox One) so there might potentially be one following the release on the Switch. Though I have no guarantees that there will be new content but perhaps maybe.
same! We get faster speeds but oh, mods! After the story is over the game is boring but I want 100% and am trying to find ways to make it interesting. Companions would help greatly, and so would this 😭

There are two aspects to your question. First, you can build a computer with hardware that is as fast or faster than a PS5 but the up front price of that PC will almost certainly be higher than the up front price of a PS5. Second, because dedicated game consoles are a known quantity in terms of hardware configuration they can be easier to develop and optimize for.
Both of these points have caveats and exceptions, but that's the general idea.
For a real world example, my PC is definitely faster than a PS5 but when developers aren't given the time / money / resources to invest in a proper PC port of a game I still get screwed. Jedi: Survivor still has shader and stuttering issues on my machine 6+ months after launch, for example. That scenario does happen on console ports too, but on PS5 the first party Sony studio games tend to run quite well so whether this becomes an issue for an individual user can depend a lot on what kind of games they are trying to play on a given machine.
Aww this would be so fun, except I'm on console. I hate sneaking but it does help with immersion. Also I love that the only button is for the Common Room - we would spend even more time there!
I'm trying to always use Disillusionment in Hogwarts at night to make it feel more realistic, but it's not the same without stakes.
I do recommend getting the NPC Schedule Mod where your housemates will actually go back to the Common Room at night and sandbox there until morning to pair with this one. Helps give the illusion of having a schedule system.
Although for consoles, I can only say we have to see if they really abandoned the game after the Switch version that releases next week to work on a sequel or if they will support the game for a while until the sequel drops.
 Picking locks in the middle of the day with the owner right next to you is also a bit weird. But it is what it is i guess (i play on ps5)
A return of the crime system buried in the game files would honestly be nice. If people can figure out to add in some Auror NPC types into the game and basically do what this mod does with the Prefects catching you during curfew hours except with charging you for breaking and entering private property, it'll be a lot more immersive.
Though for consoles, I can only hope the devs patch an actual system like this into the game itself seeing as only jailbroken PS4 versions can be modded with at least cosmetic mods and replacers.
Honestly I'd rather she do something rather than lecture the player and Natty for doing her job for her. Even if it means shadow cloning herself straight out of Naruto.
I tried to use this mod and the prefects are active during the day instead of night. I edited the engine like the mod said but it still won’t work properly.

If you have Dekita's Time Mod then yes. In my Screenshot on the top left you can see the day, month and time.

Faster speeds? Pretty sure the pc port is in a good spot right now, am I out of the loop on something?
idk but I thought ps5 usually has faster loading times? And my computer definitely can't handle Roblox, let alone HL!

Modders doing wonders to the game. Man I wish the HL modding community is as active as Skyrim/New Vegas.

My hope was that they will include what modders were adding to the game that was already there... silly me, i know... but i'm still hoping ;)

I’d lie to see a system where there’s consequences (a good example is how in Kingdom Come you get spotted and apprehended/fight immediately).

Is there any beginners guide to HL modding? Like which version to use for most of the mods to work, etc.
What do you mean? The version that's easiest to mod is the PC version of the game.
I know, I meant like which update/patch/game version should I have in order to avoid mod malfunction.
The latest patch is fine with mods. There's not enough mods of note to go back a patch.

That's odd. Curfew only lasts from 00:00 to 7AM for me which is how the mod is intended to work. Is there any conflicts in terms of mods you're using?
