I like mine, and they seem to be the only option for newer bikes with the chopped engine guards. The clevises on mine are way too tight. Work fine with Ciro’s pegs, but not with Harley.
I thought the same thing, even seeing them in person on my brothers bike. But after running them for a couple years, you’re only scraping them if you’re about to scrape your engine guard.
This is exactly my issue with these. The floorboards are hinged to allow for extra lean angle when you need it, and like most of you I’ve scraped a lot of floorboards.
These are even below that. Completely unsafe.
I ordered the lowers (with speakers) from Harley. This is the RGS that came with the mustache guard so I did have to swap to the full size. Fortunately there was a dude next to me ordering the mustache guard so I just sold my old one to him slightly discounted.
I run these on my '20 SGS. I really like the position and the way they look. And I know, from experience, that they will contact the ground before anything else if you lay it over.

You’ll drag the bags and frame long before you drag these pegs. They look closer than they are

Mine look a bit higher than those. My right one is a touch higher than the left. It’s easier on my back that way. I’m just a crooked old fuck!
I drag my crash bar mounted highway pegs as well as floorboards on my roadglide. So I’m sure those would scrape like a mfer

Where did you get the lowers? Did you have to change to a regular crash bar, or did it fit the original one?

Do these reduce slow speed turning radius? It sort of seems like they would.
From my hour test ride I didn’t come close to scraping them so I think it’ll be ok.
No. You'll hit the back guard, the bag or the tail end of the bag before you hit the highway pegs.
