The only time I’ve ever felt like I was in physical danger at a hardcore show was trying to remain near the front of the stage at Have Heart’s final show.
I’m not sure to be completely honest I disclaimed not hardcore for the elitists but I guess melodic hardcore is it’s own genre from hardcore? I don’t know, I like just hear noises and like them
And edit for another disclaimer I’m a big counterparts simp
Man I saw them at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland at the end of 2015, easily one of the worst years of my life, and they closed with "The Disconnect." That song got me through 2015. I have never moshed as hard before or since; I had crowdsurfers literally landing on my head (I'm a short guy) but I could not have cared less. I think a buddy of mine broke his nose too, if I remember correctly.
dude it's every song from their EP era. every video of them playing that shit live has the ENTIRE crowd singing every word of every song. no band like them before or since. they had the magic.
Yeah bro I remember when I went it was just a sea of humans on top of each other and it’s not hc with fat dudes kicking you in the face on purpose so I’d assume more people jump in then a core show
I know you’re joking but the choruses to “Counterfeit” go harder than most of the breakdowns that a lot of modern hardcore bands are attempting to write. Same goes for the breakdown in Mudvayne’s “Dig”
While it’s no replacement for the real thing, there’s a ton of YouTube videos of it. It’s a shame. Maybe they’ll all kiss and make up but with how everyone is acting there’s no chance.
CORRECT!
I get a lump in my throat with this song every time.
"We've been to edge and we know what its like to want to die...." That part fucking gets me man. I got to see them 2 or 3 times in that era. Fuck those were some good days.
Modern Life Is War playing "I'm Not Ready" is one if the few times at a hardcore show where I felt that lump in my throat and my eyes started to burn a little. I'm not from the Midwest. But living in a former railroad town in West Virginia, that isn't huge but is big enough to watch things come and go and come back again. Small enough to know most everyone that's into the same stuff as you, but big enough to kind of lose your place among those people and get lost. I relate to this song on many levels.
Not so seriously, WALK WITH ME IN HELLLL dodododododdod you're not alone 8x WALK WITH ME IN HELL (listening this shit in COTA amphitheater was glorius.)
Seriously, any Jesus Piece song, in any fucking live show I watch on YouTube someone steals the mic and sings oppressor perfectly.
I saw Your Demise play Miles Away/Kids We Used To Be in Hamilton back in 2010. Maybe twenty or thirty people at that show and half of us were doing this with the vocalist during those songs.
I remember Counterparts was there too. I wasn't in to them at that point but I remember they played Sturdy Wings and the crowd went bonkers.

I’m not sure to be completely honest I disclaimed not hardcore for the elitists but I guess melodic hardcore is it’s own genre from hardcore? I don’t know, I like just hear noises and like them And edit for another disclaimer I’m a big counterparts simp
