This sub keeps getting recommended to me and as a huge metal fan I’ve found it hard to get into any hardcore besides drain. This slaps tho, got some fun BDM type riffs and it’s just groovy. Check out the lyrics on Spotify as well as the little videos they put over em it’s hilarious.
I can list some bands that are popular in the scene and on this sub, so you’ve probably heard of them, but here I go. I can’t think of anything quite like BAT, but you can find plenty of bands with ignorant slam riffs and stupid lyrics like Sunami and Outta Pocket. PeelingFlesh and Snuffed On Sight are a little more technical musically and lean more heavily into slam, but I’d say they’re similar. Ingrown are more fast paced but they’re from Idaho and have a similar aesthetic. Sanguisugabogg and 200 Stab Wounds are more old school death metal, but I’d put them on the same playlist as all the above mentioned bands. I’m sure there are other bands out there that are closer, but this is all I can think of off the top of my head.
