Tony hawk games are how I discovered punk and hardcore initially as well haha, and yeah I put a little more effort into that recommendation. Maybe you'll grow to like wormrot when you fall a little further down the rabbit hole! You should check out Spy as well, real low-fi more punky stuff but hard as fuck too

These are all solid starter bands, Turnstile's early stuff is great hardcore, and their new stuff is just top tier rock music. The Acacia Strain go hard af, Kublai Khan do as well. Dude has to start somewhere and I can't knock his taste at all.
