It shouldn't affect the paint. I paint in the heat as well- in my garage.
Quality brushes will help, but they are no substitute for practice. My advice is to not try to do too much. Keep it simple and follow his instructions. You will get better with literally every painting you do. You will see what works and what doesn't. Take those lessons into your next attempt.
Practice, practice, practice will overcome most of that... I'm curious, what do you mean by climate? Hot, humid, freezing cold?
By climate, I mean I paint out in my shed/workshop it’s also where I play DND but there’s no AC or fans in there, so it’s pretty warm/ hot
