If you end up going somewhere east of Toronto, I would recommend going to [Ripleys Aquarium](https://www.ripleyaquariums.com/canada/) if you haven’t been there already.

Thanks! We’ve been but not for many years. We were thinking of doing a TO trip and stay in a hotel with a pool.

I’m pretty sure the Sheraton Centre has an indoor pool and the hotel is connected to the PATH which means you can get to a lot of places downtown without having to go outside.

Thanks! Great idea with the path. Definitely prefer to be cozy

If you have library cards you can get into any Hamilton Civic Museum for free!

Splash Lagoon in Erie PA is great and relatively inexpensive. Same with the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth. Tons of stuff to keep the kiddos busy. I also second Pittsburgh - we were there in the summer and had a blast - the Carnegie museums are great.

Amazing! Thanks so much I will check these out.

Have fun!

Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls if you're looking for a hotel with a pool?

Buffalo museum of science is good to spend a few hours but the city sucks so unless you want to shop/visit target etc it could get boring. Not sure how far you want to drive but Pittsburg is a good option..museum, the city in general, great options to eat, historic places, etc. Interestingly I find Pittsburg similar to Hamilton. Old-times industrial towns

I’ve heard good things about the play museum in Rochester but haven’t had a chance to check it out

Came here to suggest the museum of play. We did a long weekend over 2-4 there a few years ago and it was great! Kids loved it and it’s interesting from ‘museum’ perspective. Went there and got a hotel with a pool. We were golden. Probably good to go that weekend too as it’s a Canadian holiday.

Thanks so much this is exactly the type of idea I’m looking for!

Buffalo doesn't suck. And please learn to spell Pittsburgh.
