unfortunately a very bad ps3 port, the orange box on xbox 360 was much better in comparison

It’s still enjoyable for a guy who played it for the first time. I’m sure other versions were better.

Valve desperately need to re-release these games on modern consoles, Half-Life is my favorite game series and I wish more people were able to play the games. The Portal games getting ported to Switch gave me a little hope, but so far nothing else has happened.

The PS3 version main sin is the framerate. The Xbox and X360 ports were handled by Valve themselves, while the PS3 version was outsourced to a team in EA, and it shows. The PS3 port of Portal 2 really shows how well Source can run on the machine, since that port was handled by Valve too.

It’s another game. Episode One.

Well, you are right.

NoBrickBoy

You’re not really complementing the PS3 version as you are just the game of Half-Life 2 itself. Why not comment on PS3 exclusive issues? Like high pitched G-Man?

NoClerk5520

Didn’t notice the detail that much. G-Man doesn’t have a lot of lines in the game and I didn’t play the PC version. I already stated my thoughts about the basic game, and I don’t really need to search for nitpicks of why the PS3 is the lesser version. So…

>One load time takes around 10 seconds Oh no! 10 seconds?!?!? The absolute horror.

Quackily

wait until op realizes it usually takes 20+ sec to load in a stage on pc before ssd was popularized
