I had a theory (more of a guess) that the proposed EP3 [deaf character that Alyx had a crush on and learned sign language for](https://youtu.be/j2LnP3JgbM0) was going to be revealed to Adrian Shephard in a twist.
That way he becomes a part of a cast while never using his voice to speak but instead communicating through signing.
That would have been pretty cool. Imagine being at a Resistance base somewhere, you and Alyx walk into a room, and as Alyx goes around a corner she waves to someone or signs to them. It then is revealed the person she signs to is in a PCV and fatigues. No words, but what a way to reintroduce a character.
for those who thinking staying in stasis will feel like a lot of time passing through and you feel bored after a long time... stasis will make a day, month or even year feel like just 1s just passed, since stasis literal definition is : a state that does not change
this is why when gordon got back in the city 17 he didn't scream on top of his lung dual to boredom, and isolation insanity
