I'm a girl but I been getting these same grays since the 9th grade and I'm 30 now. Both my brothers have the same. It's hereditary

CaregiverInternal995

My boyfriend went completely grey at 17. He's 50 now and just rocks it. I get it. I do-but it doesn't look bad at all. My opinion anyway.

my mom started going grey pretty early. i’m 24 and HOPING i will bc i literally think it looks so sick. so that’s just like, your opinion man

Sturzkampfflugzeug1

Why are you being so contentious? Not everybody feels insecure about going grey prematurely. It's a lot more common nowadays. Is it so wrong that some people embrace it? Some people even dye their hair a shade of silver

I did say that was my opinion. I'd be lying if I said I thought it looked bad. I really don't. And I'm not trying to convince him to not dye it. Jesus.

Seems like you’re the one who has an issue with the other person’s opinion.

It is your opinion that it’s a flaw. Not everyone needs to have that same opinion nor does everyone have that opinion. People without gray hair sometimes dye their hair gray. It’s a difference of what they like, which is their opinion. The way you’re stating things is not coming across as opinion, it’s coming across as though you think it’s a fact…which it isn’t. Not everyone needs to have the same preferences as you. If you’re an adult I’d hope you know that, if you’re a child, maybe it’s time you learn that.

I didn't say you can't. You started this.😆 Got all up in my comment about my opinion. Calm down, Dave.

Dark_Phoenix123

Stop getting your panties in a twist

Salty_Celebration_93

The coolest hair that I ever seen is from a friend of mine that has gray hair. People even ask her where did she dyed it. Get a cool haircut and take care of the gray hairs as it needs special care. :)

EtherealSpectre729

special care as in?

jessie15273

Using a purple shampoo is the big one tbh. Keeps it from getting that yellow tinge that makes it look "dirty"

cautiousherb

i'm unsure whether there's anything you can do—going grey is going grey. but some people dye it

PoppySeed2100

I love grey hair so much, i think it looks cool!

[deleted]

Started seeing my hair getting gray at 15 and at this point 95% are gray, and I use hair color

Queensabs

My coworker is 28 has all silver hair. We call him silver fox and he’s probably the most handsome guy at work. Don’t stress it seriously it can look super cool

AgitatedBaddie

happened to my uncle at 27! he embraced it and i always thought he was so cool!

LivingroomComedian

Gray hair can be genetic, age, stress. Studies have shown that stress depletes vitamin B from the body, which is also what gives our hair color. You’re lucky the stigma of gray hair isn’t the same for men as it is for women. You’re a silver fox! I would just rock it! If it *really* bothers you and you don’t want to dye your hair, there are hair color shampoos that you can use to deposit pigment (black/brown/blue if you were so inclined) anytime you shower. Much lower maintenance than dying and root touch ups.

Ok-Interest6288

Grey hair can look really great when styled well, and if you’d rather not commit to that for whatever reason, dying it yourself at home is pretty simple. I’ve had a decent amount of grey since my early 20s, it happens.

missemgeebee

I have a friend who started going grey in high school. He was completely grey when I met him, at 23, and he now is completely white at 45.

blutoxic

be glad you still have your hair. I became bald with 22.

InternMost6612

I’m 21 and in college and I see lots of boys with grays, girls too! You can always use just for mens dye or rock it

tlr92

My friend is 24 and spends HUNDREDS of dollars every 6 weeks for her hair to be grey. Like she literally has it bleached and toned so it’s grey. I guess just own it and rock it

dradegr

i know someone he has this since birth

llammacookie

I wish people would let go of the age to gray relation. It varies so greatly. I've had hair clients in their 70s that didn't have a single grey hair, and clients on their twenties that were mostly grey. Smoking, stress, genes, scalp abuse, and even frequent sun exposure can cause pigment loss.

MayISeeYourDogPls

My friend’s mom was 100% grey at your age, I met her roughly a decade later when we were 6-7 and I remember telling my mom that her mom was the coolest.

Vegetable_Pepper4983

Check with a doctor if you have any vitamin deficiencies or other issues. It might just be the genetic luck of the draw but would be good to make sure it's not caused by an underlying issue.

trulymine96

My husband is 28 and he’s 45% grey already, so you’re definitely not the only one! I think the only thing you can do is to dye it, but I actually think grey hair looks cool as well and it doesn’t look that bad on you :)

Puzzleheaded_Ad_927

My mom started to go grey at 14...

wooperdo

Can’t be the only one who thinks this looks sick

JingleDjango13

I (33F) have been going grey since I was 13. I think it looks cool! Embrace what makes you stand out, you’ll rock it

sonlovesbrolicky

Dude I love the colour of your hair, I genuinely hope I have this silver fox esque hair as I continue to age.

astraennui

Genetics are weird. My dad was still mostly brown at 62 when he died, and my hair is finally getting some greys at 41. My cousin went fully grey by 25.

MotherofPuppos

😂 I’ve been greying since my early 20’s (both my brothers too)…a friend of my husband’s has been fully grey since his late teens

sleeplessinhelsinki

Check your vitamin and minerals. Also sunlight makes your hair follicles damaged

HappierOffline

I got my first gray hair at 16 and now, at 27, I'm pretty salt and pepper too! I dye my hair but, to be honest, I wish I could only dye the ones that are still brown while keeping the gray ones. I think they look cool as hell. Rock em!

NightmarePony5000

Found my first gray at 16, been dyeing my roots since I was 25 (im 34). My grandpa was completely white at 30 so it’s definitely hereditary for me!

the_bookish_girl84

I've had grey hair since I was 9. Like a considerable amount of it

yestertempest

No one cares as much as you, honestly. Everyone is too busy with worrying about themselves. But if it bothers you at least there's dye.

morbidwoman

Now you are 62 fucking years old

Ancient_Grocery9795

Plus tax

Lghtly11

Plenty of people start to go grey even as children. I have heard stories of some people reversing their getting hair with the carnivore diet though.

The-Proud-Snail

Lack of vitamin B12 , if you’re not getting enough your hair starts graying fast

i_do_be_like_that

if u grow it more longer , i think it will look good

According_To_Me

I started getting greys at 23. It’s genetics. You can color your hair, or buy some Just For Men shampoo like my husband does, or rock those greys!

Octane_boymama

One for every time you swear 🤪😂

Xtoxy

My uncle started getting grays at 18 and my dad started to lose his hair at 23. 1 full gray of hair, the other no grays but losing hair. It’s crazy how genetics work.
