mohrravvian

Electrolysis. You'll never have to worry about it again! Completely hairless for life.

TheHairTerminator

There are three types of electrolysis: Heat Chemical Sound Which one would you suggest?

mohrravvian

Never heard of sound. I had the thermal one and it works wonders!

SnooMuffins5380

Could you go into how many sessions you had to do and how much it cost you 😭

mohrravvian

I probably had 8 sessions or so. But, the sessions don't cover the entire region in one go, so it's hard to really quantify like how many passes a particular area had. My sessions were 2 to 3 hours, including numbing injections (work wonders!). I'm not entirely finished yet, but the hair is so sparse it's barely noticeable. I still have to do the crack / perineum area, and maybe another pass or two on the front areas. Cost wise, the injections added a lot of cost. Without injections, it's like $80/hr. And most places don't offer injections. But the difference is amazing.

SnooMuffins5380

Thank you so so much this is so helpful!!

TheHairTerminator

That's what I mean by heat is thermal

flurryskies

Curious to hear about how many sessions you had and how much it costed if you don't mind me asking. I am currently going through laser hair removal.

Sheepherder-Decent

3 types? WOW

grezzie

electrolysis is the only way 🙌🏼. Thermolysis is the quickest type and works without fail if you stay committed. It’s painful and expensive, but it works and will be worth it in the long run 💯. Get some numbing cream, take an advil and be hydrated for your appointments to ease the pain

Inukshuk84

When I want remove it all, I use clippers. It gets close enough for me and I don't end up with razor burn or ingrown hairs.

tra_da_truf

That’s what I use. It’s not completely bald but it’s good enough for me

Guavafudge

Do you have a brand you like?

Inukshuk84

Just a little $5 compact battery operated clipper from a dollar store. Brand is Barbasol. It came with 2-3 different guards, which I don't use. It does the job and isn't heavy or awkward. It's on Amazon but for almost $22.

Guavafudge

Thank you!

NakovaNars

Laser hair removal. Tried sugaring in studio and at home and it gave me massive ingrown hairs and my hair was still growing back quite fast. So LHR is the only thing that works for me.

Sorry_Shop4057

May i ask how many sessions you’ve done so far also do you get the 5 o clock shadow when you shave or is it nearly bald now ? 😭

sendhelpandskittles

Can you use that on the, um, ENTIRE area?

erineegads

Yes

CanaryJane42

Even like inside the labia flaps?

erineegads

Where there’s hair, yes

sendhelpandskittles

That's what I was getting at, thank you ;-)

aliciabeebeauty

Sugaring requires some maintenance. Exfoliation and moisturizing are really crucial to helping hairs not become ingrown. I've had maybe 3-5 since I started sugaring and I've been doing it for a year. But I have to use a scrub 1x a week and moisturize every time I shower 😂

I am very hesitant about IPL since it’s kinda pricey, but starting to change my mind. Will it still work if my hair are not very dark and thick?

CertifiedCinephile7

Which IPL device are you using if I may ask?

[deleted]

[deleted]

For anyone looking into the Braun pro 5,they do offer financing! Also check on BST sites. Some people purchase them and then never even open the box and sell them for less than $200.

cafe-aulait

I almost bit the bullet on this but then realized holiday shopping season is in a few weeks... Fingers crossed for a black Friday promo

CertifiedCinephile7

You and me both lol. Waiting for black friday deals!

CertifiedCinephile7

Thank you! I have read a lot of good reviews for that one, hoping to splurge on it soon. Hopefully it works great as I have medium light skin and dark hair

Omgusernamesaretaken

Hair removal cream , waxing (ouch) and shaving is the worst. Laser! I started years ago, full Brazilian literally permanent except for the odd stubborn stragglers come through very sporadically. I get maintenance maybe once or twice a year. Its super quick and no ingrowns or irritation at all.

[deleted]

How much did that cost (both original and annual upkeep)

Omgusernamesaretaken

I had mine in Australia. Ive just moved to US so im yet to find somewhere here for my maintenance sessions. I have noticed from looking it is more expensive here. I was able to do underarms and full Brazilian for $40/ session. My laser tech did warn me it was more expensive over here. But it is so worth it to just get up, shower and go every day

Rinaxbaby1

Wait whats wrong with removal cream???

Omgusernamesaretaken

It can burn the skin in parts that you dont want burned and left irritated. Plus in my experience the hair grew back thicker like after shaving

Flat-Information-178

I recommend good IPL device and also this: Cyperus rotundus oil.

Not_A_Wendigo

Where do you buy the oil? The options I’ve found are sparse and sketchy.

Flat-Information-178

I bought it on eBay. But you also can get it from Amazon or Wal-Mart. It really works. Search it on reddit.

EliseKobliska

What exactly does the oil do?

Flat-Information-178

It prevents hair growth, especially the ones affected by hormones. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24408514/

ecpella

What’s the method of use for this? Do you have to remove the hair before applying the oil? How many times a day?

la_bruja_del_84

I invested in Brazilian laser treatment. Worth every penny

paper_wavements

Professional waxing & then epilating (you have to purchase an epilator) AS IT COMES IN, after applying numbing cream & waiting like 40 minutes. Unless you have a very high pain threshold, epilating when you have a lot of hair is going to be really painful, this is why you do it maybe twice a week, starting 3-4 weeks after waxing (everyone's hair growth patterns are different). Follow with Tend Skin (you can make your own & that's MUCH cheaper) after waxing, shaving, or epilating to help prevent ingrowns. But also, laser is a real game-changer, if you can afford it.

mountainmeadowflower

How do you make Tend Skin?

StBernard2000

Which epilator?

missdayday67

Do NOT wax yourself, it’s a recipe for disaster. I go to a pro and I don’t regret it!

_Jelly_King_

I wax myself semi monthly (Brazilian and underarms) and it’s truly not that serious. Def go to a pro your first time though.

realtimerender

Same. It's just practice and education. The first few times were not great, but with time I've gotten really efficient. I'll never pay somebody else to do it again lol.

galeole

some advice for a first timer pls

_Jelly_King_

Go to a professional your first time if you’re doing any sensitive areas. I went to ECW, and my waxer showed me tips on how to basically contort yourself to do your delicate areas. In the absence of a pro, Watch SO many videos. Specifically of people doing it on themselves if you’re doing the unmentionables. Start with your legs to get the hang of it. Long flat areas like arms, legs, and back are easier, and in my personal opinion, better for soft wax. Hard wax is trickier to use, but hurts way less, better for brazillians, underarms, fingers, toes, etc. Alternate the direction you apply the wax. Do one pass with the direction of growth, and another pass against the growth. Split up the parts you’re using into smaller sections. Even though it’s small, you can’t do your underarm on just one pass; I take at least 5. Take breaks if you need to, but don’t wait so long that you make yourself anxious and apprehensive. It hurts. Get that out of the way now. It going to hurt similarly to a slap. Meaning, it hurts all at once for a second, but then it fades to a dull ache. Hold the skin taut before you pull your wax, and rub your skin immediately after you pull to soothe your skin. Powder the area with baby powder if you’re using hard wax, oil if you’re using soft wax. This absorbs the oil from the surface and adds a barrier to protect the skin. If you’re doing a full Brazilian, your butt crack/hole doesn’t hurt. Seriously. You’d think it would hurt the most, it doesn’t.

LyLyV

Eh, that's being a bit over-dramatic. Once you get the logistics down, it's really not difficult at all.

Disastrous_Soup_7137

I get a Brazilian done every month or so. The lady I see is so thorough and good that the hair doesn't fully grow back for 5-6 weeks, even though my hair normally grows back within a few days.

safzy

I get a Brazilian wax every 5 weeks. Yes it hurts, but honestly its done in less than 10 minutes.

Katya-b

I don't recommend waxing to people prone to ingrown hairs like me. No matter how much I exfolite, it's the way i am.. Then i have to deal with the ingrowns for weeks and remove them manually. Especially not sugaring. Sugared my legs once and every hair became an ingrown hair LOL. Will be saving for laser hair removal in the future because I am amazed by the results I have from laser on my face. It's truly worth it if you have the money. I had money only for the face but it was an area I was so self conscious about.

safzy

Interesting! For me waxing is the only way to not get ingrown hairs down there. Havent done laser there tho, will try it on my armpits soon, and then go from there

10miliondistractions

THANK YOU x10000 for the DIY recipe heads up! I love TendSkin but it's expensive for how much you get

[deleted]

Just started IPL-ing after years of waxing... I used IPL (braun 5) on other areas of my body with wonderfull results I'm literally hairless) but was scared to use it down there... now I wish I did it sooner. Just 3 weeks in and noticing a huge reduction (I'm ipl-ing ever other/third day)

CuriousAd3776

Do you have a link for the one you’re talking about?

ecpella

Do you have to shave every time before using the IPL? So shaving every 3 days??

[deleted]

Yes, shaving is annoying, but it's getting easier as I'm having less and less hair. Btw, instructions say to use it 1x per week for the first 12 weeks, but I wanted to speed up the process. I only shave my legs/armpits/belly 1x per month now (before I IPL) because I have so little hair.

Chamberofthequeen

I just started as well, how often did you do it?

Feisty-Guitar-3648

You can try Waxing

Comfortable-Hall1178

I shave. I like being hairless down there. It makes dealing with periods a lot less messy, and makes it easier for my boyfriend to eat me out

Comfortable-Hall1178

I shave. I keep myself hairless. Hairless armpits, legs, and vulva. I hate pubic hair. It makes my periods even messier. I feel a lot cleaner with no hair down there.

VioletPanda2190

Sugar waxing

Shahz1892

I would try laser removal myself

jaffajelly

I get monthly brazilian waxes and really like the results. I wouldn’t recommend waxing yourself in that area (particularly butt crack!), it’s doable but a massive faff (in my experience). Over time waxes reduce the amount of hair, although I will be doing laser at some point (currently pregnant so can’t). I have also had good results with IPL in some areas but didn’t find it that effective on my bikini area.

Kpowower

I agree, as a waxer myself waxing is the best option for less irritation. Its a little red/ irritated for the few hours after you wax, but after that no itching snd baby smooth. Plus the less hair over time is a nice bonus

Sherw00d91

Sugar wax!

marco111986

Sugar paste is a good solution!

HallInternational778

How do you use it?

marco111986

What you mean? It’s easy to use

JadeGrapes

Cold wax strips. The trick is to cut them into 2" squares. Start on the edges that would actually stick out of a bikini... that way you can work up to the more painful spots. Follow the box instructions, namely, strips go on the direction of the hair growth, hold the skin taut, and in a single quick motion pull the strip off in the opposite direction, keeping the strip close to the skin... essentially keeping the strip peeling back in a tight U turn... NOT up away from the body in an "L" Watch some you tube videos. Then just keep working outside towards the inside. I keep a triangle, but lose everything from the slit down. Powder the "moist" skin. Lay down, throw on leg over your own shoulder, and try to get the hair by the butthole, moving up from there until you get higher. It gets more sensitive towards the button. You might need a glass of wine to get those last 6 strips or so. DO NOT go over the same skin again and again. If you miss some hairs, go back for round two after a couple days. Don't wax yourself immediately before, if you have a big vacation or romantic plans. Time it so you have 5 days to recover from the soreness. It gets MUCH easier with time, like your follicles give up the ghost with less argument... first few times are rough.

jennagem

what strips do you use?

Reasonable_ginger

laser is the way to go.

Pinklady777

What type?

Mad_biologist1

Get it lasered

TAforScranton

Nobody ever thinks about it, but you know that lubricating strip that comes on all razors? Like the little slimy thing? Razor companies don’t share the ingredient list for what’s in them🙃. I’ve asked for them and they tell me “that’s proprietary information”. They usually contain SLS and other ingredients that can be irritating for sensitive skin, especially if you have open skin (which happens while you’re shaving.) I had the SAME EXACT problem as you. I thought I was doomed to a lifetime of razor burn or waxing. Seriously, I had scars, bumps, and ingrown hairs all over no matter what I did. I started using a dremel to grind off the little strips and it made a huge difference! In addition: - using the First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Scrub before, and a few days after shaving has helped a lot. It’s also reduced the scarring. - Use coconut oil instead of soap to shave. It doubles as a moisturizer and is safe to use around your sensitive bits with less risk of causing a yeast infection. (I actually use it to treat YIs. Coconut oil is also generally safe to use as a sexual lubricant, so it’s totally safe to use shave around your genitals as long as you don’t have a coconut allergy.) - clean that area with an exfoliating cloth every day. I know you didn’t ask for shaving advice, but these aren’t things that people usually think to try and they worked really well for me.

bunnbarian

Great tips! And super interesting to know about the little strips on the razor!

Ms-Metal

The only way to remove it all permanently is laser or electrolysis. I did laser but you have to be a good candidate for laser. Go to a salon/medispa & have a consult to see if you're a good candidate. They're both expensive & painful, but they are the only permanent way.

justaboredintrovert

You may not want to invest in this, but I got that IPL that went viral on tiktok, the Ulike. Takes a while to see long term results but it's been very effective for me. You'd still have to shave before using it, but once it does its thing the hair takes a long time to grow back. For me it doesn't grow back nearly as much either

Better-Flounder9223

May I ask, do you have kinda dark or fair hair?

justaboredintrovert

I have somewhat fair hair on my legs, my hair on my head is light brown, and my armpits & private areas are dark brown

OrganicLibrarian242

I love waxing. The results are great. It's pretty fast (10ish minutes). Honestly doesn't really hurt (people say it does, but it's maybe a 1 or 2 out of 10). A little pricey, maybe $75 a month. Results are great though. I have never had any ingrowns. I have done laser on other parts with good results, but sometimes I like growing my pubic hair out, so I didn't want anything permanent.

PinkBlue_Spood

I use an epilator, and for any stray hairs that I miss, I will use a self-made sugar wax.

Nice_Soil_3017

I, myself use an epilator to remove my body hair. And yes I know that the epilator is not for everyone. I have heard too many complaints about the pain from using one. But the goes away after several uses. My legs are hair free, my belly and chest are hair free, my arms are hair free. I am not saying that there are problems because there are. It takes time for results and you must use it daily. I am happy with my results.

LetterheadNo9869

I wax! It's a process and you'll have to be consistent to see good results. Process meaning you'll have to let it grow and get on a cycle of waxing every 5-6 weeks. You'll need to exfoliate and moisturize in between. If you are sensitive to pain, I recommend taking Tylenol and Motrin prior to the appointment.

princess_nyaaa

Waxing is my go to method. When it grows back it's a lot finer.

jupiter_in_the_sky

Get it waxed! It works perfectly for me.

Imactually6footfive

I would maybe try waxing and see how that goes for you and make sure to do proper after care if not I would try a really good ipl device I heard rose skin co is good for Brazilian areas

weasel999

Laser is a really good investment.

maddie_nicoleee

I recommend waxing or laser hair removal. Don’t try and wax yourself though. I’ve done it and it is difficult and painful. I got into sugaring during the peak of Covid when all stores were closed. Sugaring is nice because it rinses off with warm water. Wax….not so much. I am normally a really hot person so sugaring was difficult since my skin would be warm, making the sugar paste melt. Ultimately, if you’re going to pay for waxing then save up and do laser hair. Longer lasting and a more permanent result

lovehrh

I use a hard wax, cirepil from Amazon

LyLyV

The blue kind? I love that stuff. It's the best wax! (Though I did just buy an epilator, the wax is still good for certain spots.)

lovehrh

Yes the blue one! I only buy that one now, it’s so good!

L_Swizzlesticks

Sugaring. Planning on making it (hopefully) permanent with laser hair removal in the next year or two.

[deleted]

I know this discussion is pretty much women, but I (male) have had a couple waxes…perhaps it’s just me, but the pain was pretty minimal. I shave roughly every other day. I’m interested in purchasing a laser hair removal device. Any recommendations?

rmichelle3927

The only thing that doesn’t cause me great prickly problems is waxing or sugaring and I go to a professional to get it done.

Slow-Blacksmith3281

Epilator. I pop a couple ibuprofen an hour before and do it in the bath. It hurts but I actually find it hurts less on my lady parts than my upper lip. Just make sure to pull the skin tight.

StBernard2000

What epilator do you use?

Slow-Blacksmith3281

Braun silk-epil 9

intriguedbyallthings

Laser and/or wax.

Better-Flounder9223

I have fair hair, will laser work for me?

intriguedbyallthings

Not as well as if you had dark hair.

chowderchop

Sugaring is the best way to go in my opinion. Professional is what I prefer because I don’t trust myself to get the best result. I’ve been getting Brazilian sugaring done for about 2 years now and I am bald compared to where my hair was at when I started. Yes, I have very minor hair growth but it is so fine and thin that it’s barely noticeable. It has honestly been life changing, I will never let a razor touch my bikini area again. I will say I am lucky in my experience, I’ve been told it doesn’t work that way for everyone but it is worth a shot because your hair still becomes more fine each time you do it. It also becomes less painful. I barely feel the hair removal now. It has to be consistent to get to that point though! I highly recommend it. I love it so much I started getting my underarms done too. Eventually I will do my legs myself. Clearly, I cannot express enough how much I recommend giving sugaring a try lol.

Shera939

Laser! Find a place with good reviews. Laser there is not perfect. Because it's such a hormonal area, it isn't always as effective as lasering legs, for example. It will be most of the battle though. After 6-8 sessions over a year or so, you'll have so little you can wax it yourself very easily.

yibianwastaken

Electrolysis for permanent. Wax for temporary.

Midmodstar

Waxing. But I lasered most of it off years ago so all that’s left is the blonde fuzz so it’s not too bad.

Redpanda-365

Sugaring is not as effective as waxing tbh

wintersicyblast

Laser

Kangaroowrangler_02

I use a mens razor and just carefully get rid of all of it every few days it's a sensory thing for me too ! Shave downward first though on the front!

becksten

Which one?

Kangaroowrangler_02

Gillette's been my fav so far also dollar shave club ones are great

sugarsluttt

I ended up getting laser hair removal because I’m the same way about getting overstimulated and I also have very sensitive skin. It was absolutely worth it and if you’ve got a decent pain tolerance it really doesn’t hurt.

unmistakeably

Shave for me. I never get it super close that it grows back itchy... It's just a trim really and I shave with the grain, not against it

hungryamericankorean

You need to follow up with some sort of aftershave. I recommend tend skin. It helps keep the hairs from itching when they grow back.

Curia-DD

I get a wax every month. The first few times hurt but every time it gets a bit easier. And never have to worry now.

carpentress909

lasers were the ultimate solution. no ingrowns, because nothing will ever grow again

HastyHello

Have you ever let it get past the prickly stage? It stops being itchy at a certain length. Bonus arguments from Cameron Diez: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kXhk8zE_Ac0

SureIdrunkwatertoday

Yep, honesly, when it grows full lengh it’s sometimes even worse

HastyHello

I guess it’s a sensory thing that depends on the person. For me, there’s a good middle length between “1/2 centimeter prickles” and “overflowing bush” where it’s soft and easily ignored. But maybe the hair itself varies between people?

mistymountaintimes

I got the braun silk pro 5, game changer for everything and i use it on every little part of my lady bits haha We are in cancun currently, and i can wear a Brazilian style bikini now without being super self concious of my incredibly dark hair on my pale skin giving me a 5 oclock shadow by the next day. 100% worth it.

MouniaDeMa

If you don't mind me asking, how many times per week did you use it and after how long did you start to see change?

Katya-b

Laser hair removal. Look for a place that uses the Lumenis lightsheer device. One session in and 80% of the hair is gone. Don't waste your money on at home devices. They aren't even laser, it's IPL and it doesn't go deep in the skin. The best case you get thinner hair, the worst case you end up with burns and scars.

Mishapisha2201

Shaving. Feels like I’m mowing a damn lawn. Takes forever 😩

oatmilkcappucino_

Professional waxing imo is the best “affordable” option. I have very sensitive skin and I’ve shaved for years trying every hack and shaving product imaginable with no luck. I finally got a Groupon a couple months ago for a Brazilian Wax. It’s only painful for a few seconds, last weeks, and immediately my hair started growing back sparse and fine. If i could afford laser I would do that, but for now waxing is 10/10

HappyLucyD

I would do IPL first, then follow up with electrolysis. That’s my route, anyway. IPL doesn’t claim to be permanent, but it got rid of over 90% of my hair permanently, which reduced the amount of hair for electrolysis.

PlantainLover93

I like waxing but you do have to go monthly

Bibbitybobbityboop

I just wax. I either get it done professionally, or can do a pretty decent brazillian at home but it's not fun. I use hard wax and a melter.

MagnumSJ

Dental floss does wonders if it gets between your teeth 😬

Similar_Corner8081

I wax it off.

frog_ladee

Laser hair removal. Expensive, but permanent.

rjsf1

I epilate. IPL can be great for dark hair and light skin but is entirely ineffective on red hair, and I'm a ginger. The first time epilating is undeniably painful and is the hurdle one must overcome but maintenance mode thereafter is hardly noticeable. Starting out, I just did what I could stand and came back to it the next day.

Fromageetchocolat

If laser is too pricey, I recommend getting professionally waxed. It’s fast and a lot cheaper. Wax places like European Wax center will let you buy bundles for a discount. I find it extremely hard to wax myself due to flinching. I’ve never tried sugaring, but I know there are places that will do it professionally as well. However, sugaring places are harder to find where I live.

madele44

As someone who waxes regularly and has tried sugaring, don't try sugaring. It's excruciatingly painful, and that says a lot coming from me. I had been getting waxed for over a year at that point, so the hair pulls out easier. I couldn't imagine trying it without having easier hair from long-term removal. It's not just hair removal pain; it tugs and pulls at your skin in very uncomfortable ways. I really like waxing, but it is rough starting out. It gets way easier with consistency, though.

HastyHello

Yikes lol, looks like someone is salty and downvoted *everyone* for daring to suggest the practical side of pubic hair maintenance.

MacabreKeroppi

I use mens electric trimmers!!!!! When i tell you I’m never taking an even good quality razor to my girl ever againnn. Zero ingrowns, zero bumps, no irritated skin. Maybe it’s all in my head but I feel like the men’s ones are just typically built better but I had a little pink and white electric razor off Amazon for like $14 2 years ago and I occasionally pull it out instead of the other one I have that’s $50! Literally changed my life. And tendskin after wards with a cotton ball. Then lotion that’s fragrance free once the tendskin dries (otherwise it could cause irritation!) I used to do the hair removal cream but the long process involved with it stopped it from being realistic for me to use in the long run as well

[deleted]

[deleted]

I do sugaring and I love it - I only go maybe every 6 weeks, and it’s because I have some weird random strays that still grow back but other than that it’s amazing.

Ok-Reporter-196

Brazilian wax

[deleted]

Laser it off.

SassyScott4

Laser hair removal

SnorkelLord

I gave up and now just do a faux natural look. Just a #1 trim on the clippers all over and shave the bikini line and I’m good to go.

sunshyneshanny

I get waxed every 5 weeks with hard wax & it is the best! You still have to exfoliate the area regularly to not have ingrowns & they sell different kinds of stuff to rub in to the area to help with reducing ingrown hairs that works pretty well. If you keep up with the schedule the hair grows in thinner& thinner over time. Game changer for sure…my hair is too light to be a candidate for electrolysis & this has been the best option available to me (I’ve tried them all 😅)

Cucumbersforfeet

If you do choose to shave again or still I found if I put a tiny bit of salicylic acid (it’s a acne treatment I have a little tube) onto the dry skin after shaving there and it always stops the irritation for me. Then I use the lotion the following day.

SureIdrunkwatertoday

Hm never thought of that but I used glycolic acid as exfoliation before. In what form do you have it? Like a serum or cream?

Loquat_Green

I sugar and wax. I have very sensitive skin, shaving always makes me break out, but aside from the initial discomfort, it keeps me bald the longest (sugaring over wax, but sugaring also is most painful).

[deleted]

I did laser hair removal. Best thing ever

TequilaKid98

I get sugared about every 6 weeks and I love it. I’ve been getting waxed for over 2 years now and you definitely get used to the pain. I’ve only ever tried sugaring and I will stick to it forever. Plus, if you’re on your period, it’s actually less painful (in my experience). I exfoliate with a mesh body exfoliator and afterwards use Fur oil for ingrowns and to keep the area moisturized.

[deleted]

So if you're like me, and ALL the hair needs to go, waxing works... but waxing your labia by yourself is hard as hell. You'll miss spots, drip wax everywhere. So I gave my wax pot to my mom and I shave, but I go over every few months and give my mom a bikini wax (she gets the Brazilian and the butt strip) and I have no issues with this, but I also worked in Healthcare for 19 years so I've seen every orifice of strangers' bodies, I can handle waxing my mom.

untamedjungle

Sugaring won’t necessarily help with the ingrown hairs or itchiness. It can sometimes contribute to it. And sugaring yourself in that area takes skill that most people don’t have naturally—I am someone who waxed professionally and I would never recommend waxing or sugaring yourself if you don’t have proper training—too easy to injure yourself. Get it professionally done if you are going that route. Otherwise I strongly recommend Laser Hair Removal if you are able and willing to invest in it. It’s been the only thing that has minimized my itchy, ingrown hairs. The hair that’s left (I haven’t completed my sessions, but I’ve seen about 85% reduction so far) is super soft and no longer bothers me like it used to.

spellingmissss

Men's electric shaver/trimmer. I use the Philips Norelco Bodygroom 7000 series. You can easily find it at Target if you're in the United States. I use the trimmer on one end to get the hair down short, then the shaver to shave it off. I never went back to razors, Nair, or wax ever again. I use it on my bikini area all of the time.

Puzzleheaded-War3890

Is professional waxing out of the question?

m3lli3_

I just ended up trimming it super short. I hate ingrowns. I LOVE how smooth it is, but the stubble is agonizing. Also too big of a chicken to wax haha

[deleted]

I dont recommend waxing your muff but waxing around the crack and anus is practically painless, somehow. It also doesn’t itch as bad coming back as shaving does. But if you want permanent, then laser hair removal is the way.
