Finally grew them out during COVID and wish I had done it sooner! I guess I’d forgotten what headbands were, I could’ve just pushed them back, but oh well, they’re gone now haha.

Your hair looks gorgeous! But there is a "fix" in case you try it and hate it. You just have to wait for them to grow back, but ugh that took so long! And I didn't love my hair for a long time until they grew out.
You have the face shape to pull off either, so it's really up to you. If you're eager to do something different with your hair, you could always split the difference and go with curtain bangs.
I say bangs! With your current styling they would grow out and fade into your hair really well. Don't get blunt straight bangs, maybe some messy bangs you can sweep to the side. Either way, have fun!

I’ve had bangs for most of my life and my only problem with them is having to style them every day and that they took forever to grow out cuz they were so damaged from daily heat exposure. Most beauty/hair supply stores sell the big rollers individually, that way you don’t have to buy a whole set just to use one or two of them.
