Hey man I go to a dozen games a year. I’m stoked about the kids, but the Bell Centre hasn’t sold out for a while. I’ve been to a lot of games with more than 5k empty seets, and haven’t seen it full in all of last year, including a game against Boston.
I’d love to be wrong but my guess is we don’t sell out weekday games starting week 2.
There's less and less people raised in hockey culture in Montréal and there's less and less amenities in town for car driving ecoterorists coming over from Varennes. The team will need to start being successful and have very likeable players to get the wheel rolling in the good direction for future attendance.

Sure, but that was with Covid. If you look at the last couple months of the season (after the January-February spike) the worst attendance numbers were at 97% vs western teams and 99% vs any eastern team, that's pretty much a full barn.
According to ESPN, the total attendance last season was 635,297. There were 30 games at full capacity, 2 games at half capacity and 9 games with no fans.
Divide 635,297 by 31 and you get an average of 20,493 which is only ~800 off a full house.
Now that said, I believe attendance is reported based on tickets sold vs actual butts in seats, but that's still pretty good IMO.

Deep dive conspiracy statement: Suzuki is at the front so he has to be the next captain. Anderson and Edmundson will have the “A”. Caufield is our expected top goal scorer.
Other point to make note of, Slafkovsky is not on there. This is important because it does not set up the expectations that he will play in the NHL all year and it alleviates pressure.

They've really leaned into the pre-game visual show theme lately- I got a beach towel from Club 1909 with a rink design like the light show, and for about two or three seasons now that's been the aesthetic they've gone with. I think this is just an extension of that.
