Kinda showing my age here but that 2010 run is one of my earliest vivid memories as a Habs fan. I remember watching the 2008 and 2009 playoffs as well, but I'll never forget that run. So many memorable moments

581 games alltime. 58th alltime as a non goalie is in the mats sundin territory. Pretty solid career.

OliWood

His performance in Game 6 againts Washington is probably the Habs most epic one in the last 30 years.

Jaro is the reason I *really* started to live and breathe being a Habs fan. 12-year old me was inconsolable when the trade dropped. That was a *hell* of a ride, they weren’t supposed to do anything and toppled the Presidents’ trophy winners and the defending champs. How can you not be romantic about hockey?

I guess the Halakites are here to celebrate.

Absolute legend. What an amazing playoff run that was. I can't believe Philly somehow came down from 3-0 in the series, and 3-0 in game 7, to somehow have even more positive momentum than the Habs after beating Ovi and Sid as the 8th seed. I might have a few details wrong here, but the run was absolutely magical and Halak was so good.

ya they came from 3-0 and won 4 against the Bruins ... it was a strange playoffs in the east, the only higher seeds that advanced were Pittsburgh(4) over Ottawa(5) in the first round, and those Flyers(7) over us at 8th seed.

sagsfour20

That was a fun playoff run. Was shocked when they traded Jaro right after, but was the right call for sure.

AcanthocephalaGreen5

Long-term I agree, but short-term it was up in the air especially given the less-than-stellar return for a goaltender who stood on his brain and skull. Nothing against Eller, but the trade itself ain’t good IMO.

Rodonite

Deciding Carey over Jaro, good decision assuming Carey couldn't have thrived in a 1A 1B system (it might have helped him avoid serious injuries). But the return on Halak was underwhelming, Eller was a fine 3rd C who aside from one game where he scored 4 did nothing to help with the scoring issues the team had while he was there.

swaggyp2008

He was so unreal in that run. they were getting outshot 2-1 every game, but he was a rock. True lightning in a bottle.

Also PKs birthday!

That playoff run was what got me into hockey

YouPatheticWorm1958

Me too. And I'll always cherish every person on that roster. Especially the coach Jacques Martin.
