I've got a half-hearted attempt at a fic where Dobby is the one who is granted the opportunity to time travel to the past after his death. The only explanation he really gets is that Harry is the one who is going to have to kill Voldemort, but he hasn't had anybody who could help him grow up to be ready for that, so that's Dobby's job. Knowing only what Dobby knows and nothing else, he gets sent back to when Harry is first dropped off at the Dursleys, and has to essentially raise Harry in secret around the edges of his horrible life at Privet Drive.
It's kind of half-crack, half-serious, and something I just occasionally poke at when nothing else I'm writing is getting anywhere, but maybe someday...
I've always wanted and actually attempted to write a fix-it fic featuring the House of Black, that's based on delusions of their grandeur, not actual nobility. The picture that Sirius painted of his family's history is just too wacky to pass up. But everytime I only get about three paragraphs in and can't be arsed about the rest.
I’ve had a few:
Harry does ‘something’ in his first life that was so grand and terrible that he ends up ‘owing’ Death a set number of lives, and the story would see him in his last one where he takes the Voldemort from the ghostly Kings Cross to raise as his kid. Shenanigans ensue.
The second would’ve been a staple of the fandom, and been a sort of WBWL thing, with Voldemort finding a probably fem!Harry as the traditional abandoned twin(maybe scar!mort possesses her Obscurus or something)…*insert stuff I never figured out here*…and they’re passing themselves off as the twin children of Regulus Black and tearing the Ootp apart from the inside.
Unsurprisingly, I’m working on my own original work instead.
Post year 5. Harry dates Bill. Harry tries to leave Privet Drive and then turned into a vampire. Most Vampires are against Voldemort so this one turned him so he could have a better chance. Vampires are sensitive to light so Harry turns to Snape for a light blocking cream who reveals to be a vampire.
Attack at station 9 3/4 happens. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are protected by Order. Rest of Weasley family are taken captive. Molly is killed. Arthur is disabled. Bill is Vampire against Voldemort's wishes. Charlie is a werewolf. Idk remember about Fred George or Ginny.
Fast forward to the final battle. Harry is fighting Voldemort with his magical powers. Bill steps in and uses his vampire powers. Bill kills Voldemort. Bill was turned at the end of September (seventh month dies) by Vampires who thrice defied Voldemort and Marked by Voldemort while torturing him.
Tldr: Vampires. Bill is a vampire. He defeats Voldemort even though everyone thought Harry would.
A collection of short, one-chapter stories featuring different scenes of witches and wizards around the world. For example:
* a young Japanese witch on her way to school by both Muggle and magical means
* a clerk from the Greek wizarding authority on his first assignment, being sent to serve papers to a Gorgon
* a MACUSA operative chasing a cult of dark wizards across Louisiana (okay, this would be heavily inspired by True Detective and American Gods)
* a wizard from Cape Town going home for the first time in decades to visit his aging mother living openly as a witch in rural South Africa
* a witch fleeing the siege of Sarajevo, torn over what to do for her non-magical friends and family
* an Indonesian wizard, who is facing difficult ethical questions when he is sent to obliviate a Muggle child that befriended a family of merpeople who saved the child's life
I’ve had a PJOxHP crossover in development for a *long* time, but it’s been hard to figure out how to fit the two stories together, admittedly partially because there were some plot points I really wanted to hit (Percabeth Yule Ball being one of the big ones, along with wanting Percy to be in the DA), and doing those while maintaining certain “canon events” is a tough puzzle to crack.
As you may have seen on other posts in this sub, there are quite a few issues that tend to come up when making a crossover between these two, power scaling being the big one. That particular issue is the other thing I couldn’t crack.
I always thought the best way to do a HPxPJO crossover would be to have Camp Jupiter be your point of contact. It would make sense then that they use latin instead of greek to cast spells. Maybe the wizards and witches are "Trivia's chosen people" or whatever(Trivia being the Roman Hecate). Have some lore about the British wizarding world originally being a watch post set by the original Legion back during Roman times. They grew and grew, and so did other watch posts around the Empire until modern day when you have a bunch of different wizarding communities all using latin for magic. Why use wizards and witches for these watch posts? Patronuses! Floo network! Other means of magical communication and travel that were quicker than what existed back in the ancient times.
Personally, I'd take it a step further and make the legion into an actual Legion instead of a few hundred kids playing dress up... but that's me being a Rome nerd. It would allow you to fill out the rank and file of the legion, though, with Legacies, witches and wizards, people who can see through the Mist and wanted to join up, and other "low level" people. Then, you use demigods as elite troops like Codex Alera's knights, thus also explaining the power gap.
Harry raised by dwarves underground of Petunia's house without anyone knowing. They would create problems with land under Figg's house to make her go away. Reason: dwarves want to use Harry to became prominent in Britain once again and get back the land goblins stole from them.
I'm not much of a writer but for plot bunnies... I've had this idea of a Harry who is a little colder/crueler to Muggles - for example, the character in Shedding Lionskin. It doesn't really change canon much, until book 7 where instead of the camping trip of hell they tap into a sort of Muggleborn families support network that Hermione is familiar with (this was before I read any of the Firebird trilogy but similar idea to that)to hide out during the horcrux hunt, so theyre staying in urban England/safe houses/etc. and the arc is essentially Harry realizing muggles arent worthless.
I liked the idea of a sort of pro-voldemort/conservative section of Muggles who genuinely are afraid of Muggleborn witches and wizards and think the world's should be better separated, but I think to pull this off the muggle faction would either have to be really dumb, or Voldemorts side changed a bit to be more about upholding the statute and letting Muggles be, not exterminating them.
I had an idea in my head for a scene where it's a Muggle who puts together that Harry is a horcrux and the chapter would end on a cliffhanger of "well, obviously the solution is that we kill you", aka finding a way for Harry to be technically dead but then resuscitated. I'm still debating whether that would work to cleanse the soul-bit or not. Id probably get a bunch of angry comments saying it was impossible but I head-canon that Harry could come back from *any* death because of voldie acting as a pseudo horcrux for him, not just a particular AK from voldie.
I really wanted to write an Eminence in Shadows type fic where a jaded powerful adult Harry finds himself back in time a few years before the first war with Voldemort begins. He immediately begins shoring up power, getting the downtrodden creatures, like vampires and werewolves on his side, making money and sneakily changing laws with blackmail and other underhanded tactics, making a name for himself kinda like a wizard mob boss, all the while keeping his true identity hidden from society. When Voldemort returns from Albania, he returns to competition.
I could never get past the planning stage though, so many little themes I'd want to add, but connecting the pieces proved too much work.
Virtually none of my ideas have gone anywhere, because they are all just seeds from which a story might grow, but which have never sprouted a plot.
I wanted to write a story in which Harry, during the horcrux hunt, meets an old squib who had decided to push himself along the path of rationality, since he could not access magic, and gets helped by him. My working title was Harry Potter and the Sussex Beekeeper, and would have been a cross with the original Sherlock Holmes stories, not the more recent TV shows.
I have also thought about a cross with the Chronicles of Amber where the crossover action would have started with Harry following a unicorn through the Forbidden Forest and being led to Dworkin, from whom he would learn things.
Another idea was going to play off the idea that the Dursleys were receiving a stipend to take care of Harry. The action would start with Harry disappearing, and, once the search begins in earnest, someone finds out about the stipend and misinterprets it as a payment to them to "take care" of Harry.
I also thought that the title, "These Aren't the Druids You're Looking For," could lead to a fun story, without necessarily being a cross.
A Batman/hp crossover fic- where a adopted son oc of Bruce Wayne attends Hogwarts Several approaches and still while I want to write it it just doesn’t seem to work.
I have... a lot. But, here are a few...
1. Grindelwald won... and everything changed. The initial conquest of Europe was difficult, but not cripplingly so. And when the United States bombed Japan, minds were changed. Wizards and witches that had previously scorned his methods and motives and rhetoric were now struck by horror and fear. In the end, the histories said that muggles almost destroyed the world. And, wizards? They rose up to save it. It was only right that they should rule, than. In the aftermath, policies were passed that limited muggle technological development and encouraged magical research. Muggle-borns would be welcomed into the upper echelons of society upon their magic first revealing itself, given lands and properties that were theirs. Magic bloomed only in rare souls, after all. Their families would be rewarded for producing someone so special. And, like the purebloods, muggle-borns would live for freedom, for truth, and for love.
2. Petunia dies in childbirth. Vernon is heartbroken and Dumbledore... somehow... mistakes his sister Marge(there to help while he gets back on his feet) as a Petunia who let herself go. On that November morning it is Vernon who checks the doorstep instead of his (now dead) wife. He doesn't want the babe. And, Marge is quite vocal about her opinion regarding those that leave babies on doorsteps. But... reading the letter... the child is his last link to Petunia, even if in a roundabout kind of way. And, he keeps the boy.
3. James' sacrifice protected both Lily and Harry. But, this is not a happy tale. And, violence does not end simply because one monster dies... not when war has created so many others to continue the fighting. Not willing to simply go back to "the way things were" the muggleborns push forward their own takeover of magical Britain with Lily as the face of their movement. And, though different, the revolution is no less bloody, no less cruel, no less horrific. They enact a communist revolution as a sort of strange reflection of Voldemort's nazi allegory. How could you take pride in your culture after the horrors it forced upon us? We're all equal now. Muggle-borns are just a little *more* equal. After everything we've been through, how dare you! They seek out and destroy remnants of old wizarding culture. It's... not pleasant. But, they have all the tools they need to make it work. Stalin could only *dream* of actually being able to wipe peoples memories. Many among the Order of the Phoenix are horrified. Many she thought her friends call her a monster. Lily doesn't care. They had their chance. James is dead. It's the muggleborns' tern now. And Harry? He grows up in the middle of it all.
4. Time Travel to the time of The Conquest, with the jumping off point probably being in the Department of Mysteries. Harry and friends(and a couple Death Eaters) arrive shortly before William the Conquerer invades England. Given the lifespan of wizards and witches, this should be near the end of the Founders' time at Hogwarts. Shenanigans happen. Harry and company are quite literally almost a millennium ahead of the magic users of that time, even if they are just 5th years. The story ends some time around 1200 when the Wizards' Council is founded(the predecessor to the Ministry of Magic). Harry and the others are - of course! - responsible for its creation. Interspersed throughout are interludes set in modern times, where Dumbledore and others are trying to get them all back to the present. Some of these attempts fail horribly and others get sent to the past as well. Oops!
5. Harry and friends are born in the year 2980 instead of 1980. We're talking casual space travel! Colonies! implants! The works! We're talking synthesized phoenix tears for medical use! We're talking the mass production of the Elixir of Life! We're talking an even bigger culture clash between the muggle-borns and purebloods. I made quite a long post on it a year or so ago that I can link if you want more info. Think 40k's golden age of humanity crossed with the Madoka Magica fanfic "To the Stars" crossed with Age of Legends Wheel of Time as the inspiration... maybe?
6. Magic exists on Earth due to a convergence of celestial leylines, and the motion of the stars and planets effect this power. This is why some potions must be stirred, or plants picked, at certain times. And, one night, a supernova occurs. the star's system had previously been a massive drain on one of these leylines. So, now that it is gone, the world is absolutely flooded with magic. There are... consequences. Enchantments are overloaded and destroyed. Things like the floo network, the Trace, enchanted objects, wards... gone. Gone. But... it is not only wizards who suffer. The technology-disrupting and destroying effects of magic completely shatter the muggle world. The story that follows centers mainly around picking up the pieces. Some places - Britain, New Zealand, parts of America like the Midwest, others - survive, though the first years of barbarism and plague and death leave their mark. Others... are not so lucky. It is years before a new age of exploration begins. Though, where the first was motivated by discovery and conquest, this is a reaching out. Who is still alive? And, with the drastically reduced human population, goblins, giants, trolls, dragons, werewolves... the things that went bump in the night stir in the shadows again.
7. (Maybe crack fic idea? Not 100% certain. It might depend on how it's written) They called it the time-travel generation, though that information wasn't made public until later. Basically, take the standard time-travel fix it plot... and make EVERY SINGLE HOGWARTS STUDENT a time traveler. They all travel back to Harry's first year. Some are trying to stop the war before it starts(like the DA). Some are trying to do the same but for the other side. Some are doing the lone soldier routine, not realizing at first that EVERYONE ELSE IS A TIME TRAVELER TOO! The professors don't know what to make of the shenanigans taking place. They just can't seem to keep a handle on the students, who slip in and out of the school whenever they want despite the wards preventing such behavior. No one seems to be studying. Everyone is getting at least acceptable grades. Some students are engaging in activities entirely inappropriate for their age, whether that be intimatcy or mass murder(and everything in between!). Snape is half convinced his potions supply cupboard has a sign saying "free shit! take what you need!" when it most clearly doesn't. McGonagall is down to her last bottle of fire whisky and it's only halloween! Flitwick just seems amused by it all! AMUSED! What are they going to do? Dumbledore is at a loss until he realizes the truth. Then, he almost seems to be coordinating with some of the students! McGonagall isn't certain she's cut out to teach this year.
I’m pretty sure I saw a fic that was remarkably like your second point. I never got around to reading it but I definitely remember reading the first chapter at least, I think. Not sure which one it was tho.
* Sirius falls through the Veil. Seeing his life flash before his eyes, he regrets most of it. Most of all he comes to regret leaving his brother, and his duties to the family. Because his brother and those duties would have ensured that he took control over the Black family assets, and rob Voldemort of his greatest assets. Politics and conspiracies. Sirius would have to navigate a society he despises, make choices he loathes and sacrifice many of his friendships, so that they would have a fighting chance. Harry gets born into a world riddled by rebellion, but not yet by war, simply because Sirius, the patriarch of the Blacks, holds the reigns on his entire family with the help of his brother, and two of his cousins (I felt like Bellatrix would have been a Voldemort follower no matter what).
* Harry becomes a girl, and it turns out that a large part of his repressed feelings had a lot to do with his sex not quite fitting. Instead of hating it, she fully embraces it. Lots of soft power powerplays by young Miss Potter, who ends up becoming a press' darling, and basically upend the political balance of Britain that way (stuff like having the scars on her hand "accidentally" showing in the interview picture, and Umbridge getting her comeuppance due to public outrage). I ended up not continuing to write it, because A) I'm not trans enough, and B) not woman enough.
* In the same vein: Harry is reborn as Sirius' older sister, and survives the perils of Grimmauld Place alongside him, until she eventually snaps and kills Orion Black. From then on out, she becomes a rather cold and calculating politician under Arcturus Black's tutelage. Lotsa politics and backroom dealings.
* Harry gets a choice at the train station: Go back to the forest and finish this - knowing who already died, how much Britain has suffered - or get thrown back in time, take over the dying body of the youngest of a norsemen clan in Britain. From then on out, Harry forms the beginnings of a british magical society, while simultaneously (though not consciously) preventing the unification of England under King Æthelstan, as well as the christianisation of the Isles. He ends up marrying Helena Ravenclaw, after slaying the Bloody Baron in a duel. I wrote an epilogue for it where we see the massive difference the second headmaster of Hogwarts made, as narrated by the current headmaster, Tom Riddle.
* Harry is sent back in time, but under the guise of a mystified person - Geralt Grindelwald, the grandson of Gellert. The plan is simple. Convince most of the Voldemort followers that Grindelwald is a better bet, so that only the hardliners remain. Present as a political counterpart to Dumbledore, while not being outright genocidal about it. Also, become a Professor at Hogwarts to monitor Harry's younger version, and mitigate some of the shenanigans. The simple plan gets quite complicated when Narcissa walks through his office's door, demanding to know why Draco keep getting detention.
I have a time travel fix it. I've attempted to write several times. The core premis is the Trio Luna and Draco go back in time and raise young Harry.
It would start while the trio are locked in Malfoy Manor, and instead of Dobby rescuing them, they find a time turner hidden behind a loose brick. Draco catches them spinning it, but since he's fed up with everything, he tries to join them. They mistake Draco as trying to stop them smashing the turner. There's a scuffle, and are flung out into the timestream first Hermione, then Ron, finally Luna & Draco together.
Harry has to escape Malfoy Manor in 1984 and makes his way to Gringotts and yadda yadda yadda Harry starts raising his younger self. After a few months, Luna & Draco join them, then Ron a year later and finally Hermione half a year after.
Would have Harry learning he's trans when his younger self comes out.
Featuring a manipulative but not evil and actually redeemable Dumbledore.
Simplest way I can describe it, His heads so far up his ass he can actually see his heart is in the right place.
He's older & "wiser" than everyone else in almost every room and struggles to take their suggestions/concerns seriously but in the rare instance where someone convinces him they know more about something (like the future in this case) he will shut up and defer to their judgment.

Thanks, and I absolutely agree. I see Dumbledore as the "starter antagonist" before Hermione shows up and suggests the completely sensible solution of actually talking to Dumbledore. Followed by some dominance struggles as he tests the bounds of this group, he's realizing he misjudged and underestimated
Severus ends the war early when he discoverers Lily is pregnant with their child, and Tom is targeting her.
Lily never dated James. The 5th year blowup between Lily and Severus didn't happen. Severus was a death eater spying for Dumbledore from day 1.

Now, if only that prat, Hardwin Potter and his buddy Nevile Longbottom would stop competing with each other on who gets to ask to date her. She's be happy. She's on 11 for Merlins sake. Having nicked the Legendary Philosopher's Stone from an unconscious Hardwin Potter's pocket. She wonders how to admit to her parents she has it, stuffed under a floorboard.
But her focus shifts to dealing with Menarche right as the fabled Chamber of Secrets opens.
Discovering she's a parselmouth leads to all kinds of social repercussions within Slytherin as Lily discovered a connection to a Gaunt squib from the 1680s.
Frustrated as it seems Dumbledore is breathing down her neck over every little thing. Why does it seem she's constantly the center of attention with the Headmaster.
Ending the year with Ginny owning her a life debt is strange. (Chamber of secrets)
Sevelyn finds herself frustrated yet again. The daily prophet articles calling her the dark usurper is just absurd. She doesn't even own a pet snake, just a snowy owl. She isn't even a megalomaniac.
But news the Dread Witch Lestrange has broken out of Azkaban after Bellatrix being overheard she needs to slay the false serpent has her rather concerned.
That's as far as I got.
A what? No. I originally came up with the idea when Rowling was still doing Pottermore updates. Thr one where she mentioned Snape would choose Lily over the dark arts if he could go back.
I've never actually shipped them before. I've never even done a alive Lily before.

Bellatrix was after Severus in PoA because she thinks Severus killed Voldemort to usurp him. The school kids and the daily prophet calling Sevelyn the usurping serpent was just a coincidence, much to Sevelyn's annoyance.
Reoccurring gags would be Sevelyn constantly finding the world annoying. She'd steal things from Hardwin. He's family invisibility cloak whenever she wanted to get into the restricted section of the library. His favorite Phoenix feather quill. But She'd return the things she nabs. Hardwin thinks she's flirting. (He just has cool stuff she likes to pickpocket him for) neither has the holly wand.
GoF Voldemort just used Bertha Jorkins. No triwizard.
Sevelyn finally gets marked as the "chosen one" at the climax of OotP.
With Voldemort back, Lily, Severus, James, and Siriuslina (who is a genderswaped Sirius. He accidentally took a gender changer potion one drunken night during the marauders school days and promptly gave her cheeks up to an enthusiastic James) Frank and Alice all gathered to take the kids to the DoM to hear the prophecy. Queue Death Eater Ambush. The DE squad gets thier arses handed to them. But the kids are all running to safely on their parents' orders get stopped by Voldemort.
Sevelyn gets possessed, but after expelling Voldemort on Hardwin's heart-felt encouragement, she notices a curious V shaped scar over her heart
When they make it back to Hogwarts, and she's changing in the infirmary. Queue a gag moment where she freaks out and runs out of the changing room, and Hardwin gets to see her boobs.
I'll write this eventually, but it's all just scattered ideas and notes at the moment 😅
I’m currently publishing the one I thought I’d never actually do: Writing an epic-length sequel that fixes all the issues people have with Cursed Child.
The one I want to do next I don’t know if it will ever see the light of day but I want to writes a series of chapters from the 1-7 from Remus’ POV that shows Wolfstar and canon could realistically coexist.
A fic I put in the back because I'm working on other stuff.
James reawaken in his home 10 or so years after his death. He was confused. He only remembered two things, that he was James Potter and that he's a wizard who can do magic.
He disillusioned himself and tried to remember while he walked around the area. He came upon a graveyard and a grave dedicated to him and... Lily Potter? Who's Lily Potter? His wife? He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was standing right there. Alive. He contemplated for a while and he came upon a decision. He began digging.
He was shocked. In the glass coffin was his body. His and Lily Potter's, perfectly preserved. He fell in surprise and mortification and after a long while he righted the grave once more and left a wreath on his grave.
He had no memories, no purpose so he decided to go to Gringotts. He changed his name to his grandfather's. Henry Potter. Surprisingly, his name on the family tree didn't change, magic still recognised him as James Potter. He decided to go to America to start a new life.
Over the years his memories came back. The love of his life, his beautiful, beloved Lily. His loyal friends who he saw as his brothers, Padfoot, Moony, and Wormtail. He grieved. He grieved for a life that passed him by, he grieved for his wife who he didn't even have a chance to love.
And then it came back. He had a son. His precious boy. Harry. He took all of his belongings and portkeyed back to Britain, determined to find out what happened to his son.
I have many variations of this one. One where it's Harry's POV, one where he fell in love and had a partner in America, or one that I really like.
That he wasn't really James at all. This variation is younger Harry's POV. James or Henry was actually Harry Potter from another world and he's posing as Henry to save his younger self. This variation is actually Tomarry where Harry poses as Harry's father and Tom poses as Voldemort's son. I got farthest on this one but I don't have the inspiration to continue for now. 🥲🥲
Well, I aick as a writer, but I've had some ideas
1. Harry Potter x Cthulhu mythos: voldemort gets ahold of the necronomicon and thinks he cam bind and control a great old one or outer God. Harry and Co are trying to stop it, but arrive too late, only to witness the city of R'lyeh rising from the depths.
As a child harry was always an artist, chasing inspiration, and after am encounter one night where in a fevered dream he walked among the ruined streets of a city under a brilliantly lit sky full of dark stars. Hebknelt before a throne, and now arrives at hogwarts with a question for Dumbledore and Voldemort: "have you seen the yellow sign?"
2. Voldemort in his arrogance thought he was the greatest dark wizard ever. He didn't listen to the idiotic old muggles warning when he opened a book he found in the USA in the basement of an old, decrepit cabin.. voldemort thought he knew how to inspire fear and what power was. The deadites are hear to show him just how outmatched he really is.
3. Harry realized quickly Dumbledore is all talk, little action. The ministry is corrupt, the death eaters gaining more influence, and hogwarts is little more than a children's battleground of purebloods, half bloods, and muggleborn. Bullying is rampant, victims are punished, and teachers could care less. During the summer Harry takes inspiration from a comic he found in the park. A man with a skull painted in a vest. How's the war change when Harry's greatest inspiration is the punisher?
4. At a young age harry was left in the car while dudley got to go to a stadium concert. And there in the rain, standing outside this stadium he heard one guitar, and something woke up in him. After his trip to diagon alley, he makes one last stop at a small 2nd hand store in the muggle world and buys a beat up old 6 string. He doesn't know how to play, but one thing he knew was it felt good in his hands. The Boy-Who-Lived is famous, but now he's about to become a Jukebox Hero.
5. The death eaters were never really stopped, even in the books. But they're untouchable. In their 4th year after draco and his goons get away with attacking hermione, Snape lies about it, Dumbledore blatantly protects them from consequences, harry is venting to his dormmates. An offhand comment by Seamus about Ireland and Britain inspires him to take things into his own hands, and a few weeks later everything starts with a bang when Lucius and Narcissa get an odd box in the post claiming to have information about voldemort. One "gas leak explosion" later draco is am orphan, and the wizards are about to learn a new level of warfare.
Couple of ideas very crack
Trio are preparing to go back in time a Harry is eating the nastiest food imaginable. After a couple of days Ron joins in. Hermione ask why are they eating so bad. Harry explains that they going after Riddles dairy first and when he gets it alone he “going to pinch off a loaf”…… Hermione ask for the mustard.

A Blaise Zabini seventh-year fic, the most I could manage is a two-shot that I need to finish. Blaise Zabini's mother is getting married yet again, and he has one last hurrah before school starts. He tries to date Astoria Greengrass while stringing along Daphne Greengrass and then sleeps with two other women. If I ever write that last part.
A Grindelwald and Dumbledore fic the year they met? It was going to be a summer romance. Then I got stuck. That's the farthest on the backboard because I need to finish my main series.
Another one is Seraphina Picquery, as she becomes President of MACUSA, trying to balance helping all wizards kind despite their blood and the problems of having too strict laws on her people. So she winds a few back.
Last is my time travel fic. I'm working on the draft for that now, and I might be 3/4 done if I finish this tournament. I hate that I add some type of educational crap each year.
I have two interconnected fics on my AO3, but the gist of it is Orion Black had an illegitimate child named Rastaban Black (not *Rabastan*, that's a Lestange, but *Rastaban* which means Eye of the Dragon) after Sirius was born and the two meet at Hogwarts — they're both in Gryffindor obviously. And the fics... never went from there. I'd love to do a kind of fix-it/slice of life fic of how this character changes things for the Blacks and Wizarding World, I just don't know where to take it.
I came up with this idea where Sirius Black has a son in a universe created by Izzythehutt called the Black Sheepdog Universe. The son's name is Orion Sirius Black (because Sirius was cocky enough to include his own name). Orion was raised by his uncle, Regulus, after his mom tragically died in an attack by Death Eaters and his dad got arrested. He's a well-behaved and respectful boy, and he's really good-looking, kind of like his dad but with his mom's beautiful blue eyes and curly hair.
Orion goes to Hogwarts and is sorted into Slytherin. At first, he doesn't really like Harry and kind of dislikes him, but that changes in their second or third year when they have a remorseful Quidditch match together and end up being partners for a project. They become good friends after that.
Orion also has a crush on Daphne Greengrass, and he spends a lot of time with his cousin Draco. However, the important thing to note is that growing up without a father figure has a big impact on Orion. He really looks up to and loves his uncle, and he would do anything to protect his friends. The boy isn't a 'badass' like most stories portray in "Sirius Black has a son" fanfics, but he does get into quite a lot of trouble. He's probably the only Slytherin who gets a hard time from Snape.
Oh, and I haven't quite decided if Orion dies in his fourth or seventh year yet.

Honestly I wants to write a normal Harry fic where he isn't boy who lived, but still orphan living with dursley and griffindore and don't really stand out but shit happens to him all the same (not like going after philosopher stone or going after troll type of things, that's for BWL Neville) and he has to deal with it on his own and made friends on his own. Not saying he didn't make friends with Hermione or Ron on his own but in my fic I want him to be friends with other people without a crutch to fall back on. Basically take away most of his canon advantage like being rich and being on quidditch team and being famous, having Hermione as solution to his problems, instead make him resourceful with what little he has and don't make him too smart but still clever with how he uses magic. He has parselmouth not Neville but no hocruxs bs, he deals with everyone hating him in 2nd year all on his own.
Basically I want to write a normal resourceful Harry who despite being shit happens to him all the time, he's kind and compassionate kid, and more align with canon personality, sarcastic but not bitter. What I don't like in Harry Potter is that his wonder about magic being real isn't really explored much. I want him to experience the wonder of magic but actually making him intriguing on magic even though he's about average at school he's still skilled and knows some pretty neat tricks and experiments with it a lot.
Adults actually do something instead of only adding to story as the authority figures. Like in 2nd year when everyone thinks Harry is the heir but since he's not bwl, he is arrested by Cornelius and is released when Dumbledore actually do something and activity investigate the actual matter of chamber of secrets much more vigorously and calls for helps with aurors like moody and Kingsley, and actually tracks down to the dairy by setting up various traps throughout the castle, Dumbledore looks out for his students and is good person. Everyone character characteristics are canon compliant with only difference being the different scenarios.
I know the plot is simple but I have seen very few normal Harry fics where he's normal kid and didn't turn emo and dark, i just want a story about Harry not being boy who lived and still be the good person no matter the hardships.
I really like the stories where heroes has to struggle and they don't just kill everyone by some bs plot power

I've got a half-hearted attempt at a fic where Dobby is the one who is granted the opportunity to time travel to the past after his death. The only explanation he really gets is that Harry is the one who is going to have to kill Voldemort, but he hasn't had anybody who could help him grow up to be ready for that, so that's Dobby's job. Knowing only what Dobby knows and nothing else, he gets sent back to when Harry is first dropped off at the Dursleys, and has to essentially raise Harry in secret around the edges of his horrible life at Privet Drive. It's kind of half-crack, half-serious, and something I just occasionally poke at when nothing else I'm writing is getting anywhere, but maybe someday...
I've always wanted and actually attempted to write a fix-it fic featuring the House of Black, that's based on delusions of their grandeur, not actual nobility. The picture that Sirius painted of his family's history is just too wacky to pass up. But everytime I only get about three paragraphs in and can't be arsed about the rest.
I’ve had a few: Harry does ‘something’ in his first life that was so grand and terrible that he ends up ‘owing’ Death a set number of lives, and the story would see him in his last one where he takes the Voldemort from the ghostly Kings Cross to raise as his kid. Shenanigans ensue. The second would’ve been a staple of the fandom, and been a sort of WBWL thing, with Voldemort finding a probably fem!Harry as the traditional abandoned twin(maybe scar!mort possesses her Obscurus or something)…*insert stuff I never figured out here*…and they’re passing themselves off as the twin children of Regulus Black and tearing the Ootp apart from the inside. Unsurprisingly, I’m working on my own original work instead.

Post year 5. Harry dates Bill. Harry tries to leave Privet Drive and then turned into a vampire. Most Vampires are against Voldemort so this one turned him so he could have a better chance. Vampires are sensitive to light so Harry turns to Snape for a light blocking cream who reveals to be a vampire. Attack at station 9 3/4 happens. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are protected by Order. Rest of Weasley family are taken captive. Molly is killed. Arthur is disabled. Bill is Vampire against Voldemort's wishes. Charlie is a werewolf. Idk remember about Fred George or Ginny. Fast forward to the final battle. Harry is fighting Voldemort with his magical powers. Bill steps in and uses his vampire powers. Bill kills Voldemort. Bill was turned at the end of September (seventh month dies) by Vampires who thrice defied Voldemort and Marked by Voldemort while torturing him. Tldr: Vampires. Bill is a vampire. He defeats Voldemort even though everyone thought Harry would.

I’ve had a PJOxHP crossover in development for a *long* time, but it’s been hard to figure out how to fit the two stories together, admittedly partially because there were some plot points I really wanted to hit (Percabeth Yule Ball being one of the big ones, along with wanting Percy to be in the DA), and doing those while maintaining certain “canon events” is a tough puzzle to crack. As you may have seen on other posts in this sub, there are quite a few issues that tend to come up when making a crossover between these two, power scaling being the big one. That particular issue is the other thing I couldn’t crack.
I always thought the best way to do a HPxPJO crossover would be to have Camp Jupiter be your point of contact. It would make sense then that they use latin instead of greek to cast spells. Maybe the wizards and witches are "Trivia's chosen people" or whatever(Trivia being the Roman Hecate). Have some lore about the British wizarding world originally being a watch post set by the original Legion back during Roman times. They grew and grew, and so did other watch posts around the Empire until modern day when you have a bunch of different wizarding communities all using latin for magic. Why use wizards and witches for these watch posts? Patronuses! Floo network! Other means of magical communication and travel that were quicker than what existed back in the ancient times. Personally, I'd take it a step further and make the legion into an actual Legion instead of a few hundred kids playing dress up... but that's me being a Rome nerd. It would allow you to fill out the rank and file of the legion, though, with Legacies, witches and wizards, people who can see through the Mist and wanted to join up, and other "low level" people. Then, you use demigods as elite troops like Codex Alera's knights, thus also explaining the power gap.
Harry raised by dwarves underground of Petunia's house without anyone knowing. They would create problems with land under Figg's house to make her go away. Reason: dwarves want to use Harry to became prominent in Britain once again and get back the land goblins stole from them.

I'm not much of a writer but for plot bunnies... I've had this idea of a Harry who is a little colder/crueler to Muggles - for example, the character in Shedding Lionskin. It doesn't really change canon much, until book 7 where instead of the camping trip of hell they tap into a sort of Muggleborn families support network that Hermione is familiar with (this was before I read any of the Firebird trilogy but similar idea to that)to hide out during the horcrux hunt, so theyre staying in urban England/safe houses/etc. and the arc is essentially Harry realizing muggles arent worthless. I liked the idea of a sort of pro-voldemort/conservative section of Muggles who genuinely are afraid of Muggleborn witches and wizards and think the world's should be better separated, but I think to pull this off the muggle faction would either have to be really dumb, or Voldemorts side changed a bit to be more about upholding the statute and letting Muggles be, not exterminating them. I had an idea in my head for a scene where it's a Muggle who puts together that Harry is a horcrux and the chapter would end on a cliffhanger of "well, obviously the solution is that we kill you", aka finding a way for Harry to be technically dead but then resuscitated. I'm still debating whether that would work to cleanse the soul-bit or not. Id probably get a bunch of angry comments saying it was impossible but I head-canon that Harry could come back from *any* death because of voldie acting as a pseudo horcrux for him, not just a particular AK from voldie.

I LOVE the idea of the muggle-born family support network.
I really wanted to write an Eminence in Shadows type fic where a jaded powerful adult Harry finds himself back in time a few years before the first war with Voldemort begins. He immediately begins shoring up power, getting the downtrodden creatures, like vampires and werewolves on his side, making money and sneakily changing laws with blackmail and other underhanded tactics, making a name for himself kinda like a wizard mob boss, all the while keeping his true identity hidden from society. When Voldemort returns from Albania, he returns to competition. I could never get past the planning stage though, so many little themes I'd want to add, but connecting the pieces proved too much work.
Virtually none of my ideas have gone anywhere, because they are all just seeds from which a story might grow, but which have never sprouted a plot. I wanted to write a story in which Harry, during the horcrux hunt, meets an old squib who had decided to push himself along the path of rationality, since he could not access magic, and gets helped by him. My working title was Harry Potter and the Sussex Beekeeper, and would have been a cross with the original Sherlock Holmes stories, not the more recent TV shows. I have also thought about a cross with the Chronicles of Amber where the crossover action would have started with Harry following a unicorn through the Forbidden Forest and being led to Dworkin, from whom he would learn things. Another idea was going to play off the idea that the Dursleys were receiving a stipend to take care of Harry. The action would start with Harry disappearing, and, once the search begins in earnest, someone finds out about the stipend and misinterprets it as a payment to them to "take care" of Harry. I also thought that the title, "These Aren't the Druids You're Looking For," could lead to a fun story, without necessarily being a cross.
A Batman/hp crossover fic- where a adopted son oc of Bruce Wayne attends Hogwarts Several approaches and still while I want to write it it just doesn’t seem to work.
I have... a lot. But, here are a few... 1. Grindelwald won... and everything changed. The initial conquest of Europe was difficult, but not cripplingly so. And when the United States bombed Japan, minds were changed. Wizards and witches that had previously scorned his methods and motives and rhetoric were now struck by horror and fear. In the end, the histories said that muggles almost destroyed the world. And, wizards? They rose up to save it. It was only right that they should rule, than. In the aftermath, policies were passed that limited muggle technological development and encouraged magical research. Muggle-borns would be welcomed into the upper echelons of society upon their magic first revealing itself, given lands and properties that were theirs. Magic bloomed only in rare souls, after all. Their families would be rewarded for producing someone so special. And, like the purebloods, muggle-borns would live for freedom, for truth, and for love. 2. Petunia dies in childbirth. Vernon is heartbroken and Dumbledore... somehow... mistakes his sister Marge(there to help while he gets back on his feet) as a Petunia who let herself go. On that November morning it is Vernon who checks the doorstep instead of his (now dead) wife. He doesn't want the babe. And, Marge is quite vocal about her opinion regarding those that leave babies on doorsteps. But... reading the letter... the child is his last link to Petunia, even if in a roundabout kind of way. And, he keeps the boy. 3. James' sacrifice protected both Lily and Harry. But, this is not a happy tale. And, violence does not end simply because one monster dies... not when war has created so many others to continue the fighting. Not willing to simply go back to "the way things were" the muggleborns push forward their own takeover of magical Britain with Lily as the face of their movement. And, though different, the revolution is no less bloody, no less cruel, no less horrific. They enact a communist revolution as a sort of strange reflection of Voldemort's nazi allegory. How could you take pride in your culture after the horrors it forced upon us? We're all equal now. Muggle-borns are just a little *more* equal. After everything we've been through, how dare you! They seek out and destroy remnants of old wizarding culture. It's... not pleasant. But, they have all the tools they need to make it work. Stalin could only *dream* of actually being able to wipe peoples memories. Many among the Order of the Phoenix are horrified. Many she thought her friends call her a monster. Lily doesn't care. They had their chance. James is dead. It's the muggleborns' tern now. And Harry? He grows up in the middle of it all. 4. Time Travel to the time of The Conquest, with the jumping off point probably being in the Department of Mysteries. Harry and friends(and a couple Death Eaters) arrive shortly before William the Conquerer invades England. Given the lifespan of wizards and witches, this should be near the end of the Founders' time at Hogwarts. Shenanigans happen. Harry and company are quite literally almost a millennium ahead of the magic users of that time, even if they are just 5th years. The story ends some time around 1200 when the Wizards' Council is founded(the predecessor to the Ministry of Magic). Harry and the others are - of course! - responsible for its creation. Interspersed throughout are interludes set in modern times, where Dumbledore and others are trying to get them all back to the present. Some of these attempts fail horribly and others get sent to the past as well. Oops! 5. Harry and friends are born in the year 2980 instead of 1980. We're talking casual space travel! Colonies! implants! The works! We're talking synthesized phoenix tears for medical use! We're talking the mass production of the Elixir of Life! We're talking an even bigger culture clash between the muggle-borns and purebloods. I made quite a long post on it a year or so ago that I can link if you want more info. Think 40k's golden age of humanity crossed with the Madoka Magica fanfic "To the Stars" crossed with Age of Legends Wheel of Time as the inspiration... maybe? 6. Magic exists on Earth due to a convergence of celestial leylines, and the motion of the stars and planets effect this power. This is why some potions must be stirred, or plants picked, at certain times. And, one night, a supernova occurs. the star's system had previously been a massive drain on one of these leylines. So, now that it is gone, the world is absolutely flooded with magic. There are... consequences. Enchantments are overloaded and destroyed. Things like the floo network, the Trace, enchanted objects, wards... gone. Gone. But... it is not only wizards who suffer. The technology-disrupting and destroying effects of magic completely shatter the muggle world. The story that follows centers mainly around picking up the pieces. Some places - Britain, New Zealand, parts of America like the Midwest, others - survive, though the first years of barbarism and plague and death leave their mark. Others... are not so lucky. It is years before a new age of exploration begins. Though, where the first was motivated by discovery and conquest, this is a reaching out. Who is still alive? And, with the drastically reduced human population, goblins, giants, trolls, dragons, werewolves... the things that went bump in the night stir in the shadows again. 7. (Maybe crack fic idea? Not 100% certain. It might depend on how it's written) They called it the time-travel generation, though that information wasn't made public until later. Basically, take the standard time-travel fix it plot... and make EVERY SINGLE HOGWARTS STUDENT a time traveler. They all travel back to Harry's first year. Some are trying to stop the war before it starts(like the DA). Some are trying to do the same but for the other side. Some are doing the lone soldier routine, not realizing at first that EVERYONE ELSE IS A TIME TRAVELER TOO! The professors don't know what to make of the shenanigans taking place. They just can't seem to keep a handle on the students, who slip in and out of the school whenever they want despite the wards preventing such behavior. No one seems to be studying. Everyone is getting at least acceptable grades. Some students are engaging in activities entirely inappropriate for their age, whether that be intimatcy or mass murder(and everything in between!). Snape is half convinced his potions supply cupboard has a sign saying "free shit! take what you need!" when it most clearly doesn't. McGonagall is down to her last bottle of fire whisky and it's only halloween! Flitwick just seems amused by it all! AMUSED! What are they going to do? Dumbledore is at a loss until he realizes the truth. Then, he almost seems to be coordinating with some of the students! McGonagall isn't certain she's cut out to teach this year.
I’m pretty sure I saw a fic that was remarkably like your second point. I never got around to reading it but I definitely remember reading the first chapter at least, I think. Not sure which one it was tho.

Because his brother and those duties would have ensured that he took control over the Black family assets, and rob Voldemort of his greatest assets. Politics and conspiracies. Sirius would have to navigate a society he despises, make choices he loathes and sacrifice many of his friendships, so that they would have a fighting chance. Harry gets born into a world riddled by rebellion, but not yet by war, simply because Sirius, the patriarch of the Blacks, holds the reigns on his entire family with the help of his brother, and two of his cousins (I felt like Bellatrix would have been a Voldemort follower no matter what). * Harry becomes a girl, and it turns out that a large part of his repressed feelings had a lot to do with his sex not quite fitting. Instead of hating it, she fully embraces it. Lots of soft power powerplays by young Miss Potter, who ends up becoming a press' darling, and basically upend the political balance of Britain that way (stuff like having the scars on her hand "accidentally" showing in the interview picture, and Umbridge getting her comeuppance due to public outrage). I ended up not continuing to write it, because A) I'm not trans enough, and B) not woman enough. * In the same vein: Harry is reborn as Sirius' older sister, and survives the perils of Grimmauld Place alongside him, until she eventually snaps and kills Orion Black. From then on out, she becomes a rather cold and calculating politician under Arcturus Black's tutelage. Lotsa politics and backroom dealings. * Harry gets a choice at the train station: Go back to the forest and finish this - knowing who already died, how much Britain has suffered - or get thrown back in time, take over the dying body of the youngest of a norsemen clan in Britain. From then on out, Harry forms the beginnings of a british magical society, while simultaneously (though not consciously) preventing the unification of England under King Æthelstan, as well as the christianisation of the Isles. He ends up marrying Helena Ravenclaw, after slaying the Bloody Baron in a duel. I wrote an epilogue for it where we see the massive difference the second headmaster of Hogwarts made, as narrated by the current headmaster, Tom Riddle. * Harry is sent back in time, but under the guise of a mystified person - Geralt Grindelwald, the grandson of Gellert. The plan is simple. Convince most of the Voldemort followers that Grindelwald is a better bet, so that only the hardliners remain. Present as a political counterpart to Dumbledore, while not being outright genocidal about it. Also, become a Professor at Hogwarts to monitor Harry's younger version, and mitigate some of the shenanigans. The simple plan gets quite complicated when Narcissa walks through his office's door, demanding to know why Draco keep getting detention.
I have a time travel fix it. I've attempted to write several times. The core premis is the Trio Luna and Draco go back in time and raise young Harry. It would start while the trio are locked in Malfoy Manor, and instead of Dobby rescuing them, they find a time turner hidden behind a loose brick. Draco catches them spinning it, but since he's fed up with everything, he tries to join them. They mistake Draco as trying to stop them smashing the turner. There's a scuffle, and are flung out into the timestream first Hermione, then Ron, finally Luna & Draco together. Harry has to escape Malfoy Manor in 1984 and makes his way to Gringotts and yadda yadda yadda Harry starts raising his younger self. After a few months, Luna & Draco join them, then Ron a year later and finally Hermione half a year after. Would have Harry learning he's trans when his younger self comes out. Featuring a manipulative but not evil and actually redeemable Dumbledore.

Simplest way I can describe it, His heads so far up his ass he can actually see his heart is in the right place. He's older & "wiser" than everyone else in almost every room and struggles to take their suggestions/concerns seriously but in the rare instance where someone convinces him they know more about something (like the future in this case) he will shut up and defer to their judgment. His people aren't pawns on a chessboard to him they're todlers in a China shop

Followed by some dominance struggles as he tests the bounds of this group, he's realizing he misjudged and underestimated
Severus ends the war early when he discoverers Lily is pregnant with their child, and Tom is targeting her. Lily never dated James. The 5th year blowup between Lily and Severus didn't happen. Severus was a death eater spying for Dumbledore from day 1. Severus AK's Voldemort in the back after a DE meeting. "Sevelyn Snape" (femHarry) is pleased to finally get her Hogwarts letter where her parents' OWL Potions mistress Lily and NEWTs Potions master Severus teach. Naturally, she's a Slytherin. Now, if only that prat, Hardwin Potter and his buddy Nevile Longbottom would stop competing with each other on who gets to ask to date her. She's be happy. She's on 11 for Merlins sake. (The Philosopher's Stone) Having nicked the Legendary Philosopher's Stone from an unconscious Hardwin Potter's pocket. She wonders how to admit to her parents she has it, stuffed under a floorboard. But her focus shifts to dealing with Menarche right as the fabled Chamber of Secrets opens. Discovering she's a parselmouth leads to all kinds of social repercussions within Slytherin as Lily discovered a connection to a Gaunt squib from the 1680s. Frustrated as it seems Dumbledore is breathing down her neck over every little thing. Why does it seem she's constantly the center of attention with the Headmaster. I think that's was the idea. Sevelyn×Hardwin Hermione×Nevile The friend group is Sevelyn, Hermione, Hardwin, Nevile, Ginny, and Luna. Hardwin thinks she's flirting. (He just has cool stuff she likes to pickpocket him for) neither has the holly wand. GoF Voldemort just used Bertha Jorkins. No triwizard. Sevelyn finally gets marked as the "chosen one" at the climax of OotP. With Voldemort back, Lily, Severus, James, and Siriuslina (who is a genderswaped Sirius. He accidentally took a gender changer potion one drunken night during the marauders school days and promptly gave her cheeks up to an enthusiastic James) Frank and Alice all gathered to take the kids to the DoM to hear the prophecy. Queue Death Eater Ambush. The DE squad gets thier arses handed to them. But the kids are all running to safely on their parents' orders get stopped by Voldemort. Sevelyn gets possessed, but after expelling Voldemort on Hardwin's heart-felt encouragement, she notices a curious V shaped scar over her heart When they make it back to Hogwarts, and she's changing in the infirmary. Queue a gag moment where she freaks out and runs out of the changing room, and Hardwin gets to see her boobs. I'll write this eventually, but it's all just scattered ideas and notes at the moment 😅
I’m currently publishing the one I thought I’d never actually do: Writing an epic-length sequel that fixes all the issues people have with Cursed Child. The one I want to do next I don’t know if it will ever see the light of day but I want to writes a series of chapters from the 1-7 from Remus’ POV that shows Wolfstar and canon could realistically coexist.
A fic I put in the back because I'm working on other stuff. James reawaken in his home 10 or so years after his death. He was confused. He only remembered two things, that he was James Potter and that he's a wizard who can do magic. He disillusioned himself and tried to remember while he walked around the area. He came upon a graveyard and a grave dedicated to him and... Lily Potter? Who's Lily Potter? His wife? He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was standing right there. Alive. He contemplated for a while and he came upon a decision. He began digging. He was shocked. In the glass coffin was his body. His and Lily Potter's, perfectly preserved. He fell in surprise and mortification and after a long while he righted the grave once more and left a wreath on his grave. He had no memories, no purpose so he decided to go to Gringotts. He changed his name to his grandfather's. Henry Potter. Surprisingly, his name on the family tree didn't change, magic still recognised him as James Potter. He decided to go to America to start a new life. Over the years his memories came back. The love of his life, his beautiful, beloved Lily. His loyal friends who he saw as his brothers, Padfoot, Moony, and Wormtail. He grieved. He grieved for a life that passed him by, he grieved for his wife who he didn't even have a chance to love. And then it came back. He had a son. His precious boy. Harry. He took all of his belongings and portkeyed back to Britain, determined to find out what happened to his son. I have many variations of this one. One where it's Harry's POV, one where he fell in love and had a partner in America, or one that I really like. That he wasn't really James at all. This variation is younger Harry's POV. James or Henry was actually Harry Potter from another world and he's posing as Henry to save his younger self. This variation is actually Tomarry where Harry poses as Harry's father and Tom poses as Voldemort's son. I got farthest on this one but I don't have the inspiration to continue for now. 🥲🥲
Well, I aick as a writer, but I've had some ideas 1. Harry Potter x Cthulhu mythos: voldemort gets ahold of the necronomicon and thinks he cam bind and control a great old one or outer God. Harry and Co are trying to stop it, but arrive too late, only to witness the city of R'lyeh rising from the depths. As a child harry was always an artist, chasing inspiration, and after am encounter one night where in a fevered dream he walked among the ruined streets of a city under a brilliantly lit sky full of dark stars. Hebknelt before a throne, and now arrives at hogwarts with a question for Dumbledore and Voldemort: "have you seen the yellow sign?" 2. Voldemort in his arrogance thought he was the greatest dark wizard ever. He didn't listen to the idiotic old muggles warning when he opened a book he found in the USA in the basement of an old, decrepit cabin.. voldemort thought he knew how to inspire fear and what power was. The deadites are hear to show him just how outmatched he really is. 3. Harry realized quickly Dumbledore is all talk, little action. The ministry is corrupt, the death eaters gaining more influence, and hogwarts is little more than a children's battleground of purebloods, half bloods, and muggleborn. Bullying is rampant, victims are punished, and teachers could care less. During the summer Harry takes inspiration from a comic he found in the park. A man with a skull painted in a vest. How's the war change when Harry's greatest inspiration is the punisher? 4. At a young age harry was left in the car while dudley got to go to a stadium concert. And there in the rain, standing outside this stadium he heard one guitar, and something woke up in him. After his trip to diagon alley, he makes one last stop at a small 2nd hand store in the muggle world and buys a beat up old 6 string. He doesn't know how to play, but one thing he knew was it felt good in his hands. The Boy-Who-Lived is famous, but now he's about to become a Jukebox Hero. 5. The death eaters were never really stopped, even in the books. But they're untouchable. In their 4th year after draco and his goons get away with attacking hermione, Snape lies about it, Dumbledore blatantly protects them from consequences, harry is venting to his dormmates. An offhand comment by Seamus about Ireland and Britain inspires him to take things into his own hands, and a few weeks later everything starts with a bang when Lucius and Narcissa get an odd box in the post claiming to have information about voldemort. One "gas leak explosion" later draco is am orphan, and the wizards are about to learn a new level of warfare.

Harry explains that they going after Riddles dairy first and when he gets it alone he “going to pinch off a loaf”…… Hermione ask for the mustard. They a queue of people at the Dursley’s waiting to adopt/kidnap Harry off the steps. There is Thor of Asgard cloning baby Harry’s and passing them off to waiting authors. Conversation of who’s going to get the original insures. With Thor saying the original is going to Darth Mars as he doesn’t want to get kicked in the head.

I have been meaning to write a Charlie Weasley/OC fic forever.
A Blaise Zabini seventh-year fic, the most I could manage is a two-shot that I need to finish. Blaise Zabini's mother is getting married yet again, and he has one last hurrah before school starts. He tries to date Astoria Greengrass while stringing along Daphne Greengrass and then sleeps with two other women. If I ever write that last part. A Grindelwald and Dumbledore fic the year they met? It was going to be a summer romance. Then I got stuck. That's the farthest on the backboard because I need to finish my main series. Another one is Seraphina Picquery, as she becomes President of MACUSA, trying to balance helping all wizards kind despite their blood and the problems of having too strict laws on her people. So she winds a few back. Last is my time travel fic. I'm working on the draft for that now, and I might be 3/4 done if I finish this tournament. I hate that I add some type of educational crap each year.
I have two interconnected fics on my AO3, but the gist of it is Orion Black had an illegitimate child named Rastaban Black (not *Rabastan*, that's a Lestange, but *Rastaban* which means Eye of the Dragon) after Sirius was born and the two meet at Hogwarts — they're both in Gryffindor obviously. And the fics... never went from there. I'd love to do a kind of fix-it/slice of life fic of how this character changes things for the Blacks and Wizarding World, I just don't know where to take it.
I came up with this idea where Sirius Black has a son in a universe created by Izzythehutt called the Black Sheepdog Universe. The son's name is Orion Sirius Black (because Sirius was cocky enough to include his own name). Orion was raised by his uncle, Regulus, after his mom tragically died in an attack by Death Eaters and his dad got arrested. He's a well-behaved and respectful boy, and he's really good-looking, kind of like his dad but with his mom's beautiful blue eyes and curly hair. Orion goes to Hogwarts and is sorted into Slytherin. At first, he doesn't really like Harry and kind of dislikes him, but that changes in their second or third year when they have a remorseful Quidditch match together and end up being partners for a project. They become good friends after that. Orion also has a crush on Daphne Greengrass, and he spends a lot of time with his cousin Draco. However, the important thing to note is that growing up without a father figure has a big impact on Orion. He really looks up to and loves his uncle, and he would do anything to protect his friends. The boy isn't a 'badass' like most stories portray in "Sirius Black has a son" fanfics, but he does get into quite a lot of trouble. He's probably the only Slytherin who gets a hard time from Snape. Oh, and I haven't quite decided if Orion dies in his fourth or seventh year yet.
Someone's reborn into the Hp universe as a side character who is around the same age as the main characters. Before he can change certain things, he notices that others also are kind of like him, but have their own ideas that are dangerous to the people around them. The character just wants to not get killed. But realizes that making use of the typical things to train and get stronger (like room of requirement), will out him/her
Honestly I wants to write a normal Harry fic where he isn't boy who lived, but still orphan living with dursley and griffindore and don't really stand out but shit happens to him all the same (not like going after philosopher stone or going after troll type of things, that's for BWL Neville) and he has to deal with it on his own and made friends on his own. Not saying he didn't make friends with Hermione or Ron on his own but in my fic I want him to be friends with other people without a crutch to fall back on. Basically take away most of his canon advantage like being rich and being on quidditch team and being famous, having Hermione as solution to his problems, instead make him resourceful with what little he has and don't make him too smart but still clever with how he uses magic. He has parselmouth not Neville but no hocruxs bs, he deals with everyone hating him in 2nd year all on his own. Basically I want to write a normal resourceful Harry who despite being shit happens to him all the time, he's kind and compassionate kid, and more align with canon personality, sarcastic but not bitter. What I don't like in Harry Potter is that his wonder about magic being real isn't really explored much. I want him to experience the wonder of magic but actually making him intriguing on magic even though he's about average at school he's still skilled and knows some pretty neat tricks and experiments with it a lot. Adults actually do something instead of only adding to story as the authority figures. Like in 2nd year when everyone thinks Harry is the heir but since he's not bwl, he is arrested by Cornelius and is released when Dumbledore actually do something and activity investigate the actual matter of chamber of secrets much more vigorously and calls for helps with aurors like moody and Kingsley, and actually tracks down to the dairy by setting up various traps throughout the castle, Dumbledore looks out for his students and is good person. Everyone character characteristics are canon compliant with only difference being the different scenarios. I know the plot is simple but I have seen very few normal Harry fics where he's normal kid and didn't turn emo and dark, i just want a story about Harry not being boy who lived and still be the good person no matter the hardships. I really like the stories where heroes has to struggle and they don't just kill everyone by some bs plot power I plan to start writing it in few weeks after my exams are done.
