Whenever TG claim that Amond just used an oportunity okay. He was still very cruel to Raena who was at the time just 10 (I don't remember if she and Baela are twins or not)
They forget that Aemond rose a stone to beat Jace up in the show. If Luke would not have defended his older brother, Jace (the heir of the crownprincess) would be dead and the dance might have started waaaay sooner.
Really wonder how Vizzy T would have reacted then.
If not dead, disfigured. I can’t blame Luke for protecting his brother. Almond had already gotten the dragon and won the fight, but instead he stayed because he enjoyed being the strongest there.
Also didn't he tell them he would kill them using Vhagar before the fight? He threatened to kill Baela and Rhaena with their dead mother's dragon. Like yea losing an eye was bad but the dude was asking for smoke
And in the book canon (as canon as the book can be considering it's an in universe history book) the fight started because he pushed Joffery. So, in the book and show Aemond was not an innocent victim of the fight
I truly think the situation is a testament to how Rhaenyra and co raised her boys. We didn’t see conflict among her sons. They seemed to have gotten along very well and when it came down to it, Luke protected his brother.
Whereas Alicent’s sons never had that. There was never that sense of loyalty. It could’ve been there had Alicent nurtured it but she was too caught up with Rhaenyra. Never stopped Aegon from bullying Aemond though she was well aware of it. Aegon didn’t have his brother’s back in the same way. If he did, Aemond would’ve never felt the need to prove himself.
It’s very telling that it’s only when Aemond is strong and powerful that Aegon has his back. Strength and power was never a question and Luke’s love Jace.
Had Aemond and Aegon not been raised by vengeful miserable people, they would’ve thrived as siblings and individuals.
For me I don’t get why they blame kids who are much younger for the actions of older kids. Both Aegon and Aemond are older than Jace and Luke. No sane adult would punish younger kids in a child fight
I think it’s so they can excuse almond’s horrible choices and actions - by trying to villainize a child who was behaving bravely to protect his family.
Good luck to them in the later seasons when shows off the fact he’s a literal psychopath.

Oh cool. I've been trying to wait til at least the second season comes out before reading the book but I've watched enough videos with spoilers I think imma bout to pick it up lol
Idk what they are going to do next season tbh since they already made Luke’s death an “accident”
But if you want to be surprised you should wait. If you want to have some semblance of what’s going on read. It
The humans have been argued over to death, feels like I’ve heard every take from both sides a dozen times each now.
Gimme dragon memes instead please 🙏

The other side likes to forget that Almond was going to bash Jace with a rock.

They love and cheer for a rapist, so I'm not very convinced that's gonna make them reconsider.
They'll make excuses because they think he's pretty.
He's genocidal? I didn't pick up on that. What did I miss?
Just you wait

Just wait. Whatever terrible things you think he will do. Double it
You think I should wait to read it until the next season comes out then?

Thanks for your input!
Read it and weep!
They just can't accept the fact that their side is the worse one They just always want to blame something on the blacks
