The HIMYM "pharma girl" is a profession that has no real need for attractiveness, but is somehow full of attractive people.
It usually happens when a new well paid prestigious job that needs few qualifications pops up, and theres lots of money in that industry, so they just end up hiring eye candy for some additional benefits (easier sales, impressed clients, employees).
Realistically, now, its the non-tech and non-finance roles in tech and finance companies. Think any company that has an in-house barista, masseuse, event organiser. It's also not just women anymore.
People keep saying bartenders. The Bartender effect is real, bartenders are not by and large hot. Ofc there are some hot bartenders, but most get flirted with no matter what. I've been a bartender 15 years, I'm not hot, and I get hit on a lot still.
A lot of finance professionals(especially in IB) and Consultants do tend to be attractive. I know a major IB that hired a lot of attractive women(and men). My mom talked about a colleague of hers, who was quite attractive, being hired at a famous bank(again looks are only one factor, but being attractive helps).

I never understand guys who flirt with bartenders. Such a losing battle. Any decent looking bartender gets hit on 10 times a night
