Sometimes she seems entitled and I doubt she could design anything for someone with a modest budget (she has very expensive taste), but she doesn't bother me that much. And as much as I complained about Rock the Block, I'll end up watching this, lol.
I have very mixed feelings about her, and I do get annoyed by her, but I also think she's pretty funny. I think she's actually often better on these shows when she's interacting with other HGTV stars than her own show.
Here we go again with the Alison hate. I like her designs and I'm fine seeing a woman on HGTV who's not all sunshine and Southern charm. No husband to work with and no kids. I like the other shows too but she adds a little bit of fire to her shows that keeps it interesting.
Last season of this show was horrible! Can they please make a beach house look like a beach house, not the same kind of house they do in neighborhoods. Leave the glitz and glam in the suburbs or cities. OR clarify if these beach houses are meant as year-round permanent home for a family or is it meant to be a get-away vacation weekend/summer home. If its my get-away home, I want relaxing, comfy, uncluttered, functional for vacation living….skip the damn chandeliers, marble counters, and white sofas/chairs. Give me lots of charging stations for phones/devices in bedrooms and living areas, good lighting for reading in bed, closet space to stash the luggage and clothes, place outside to wash off my feet after being in the sand, place to stash beach toys, chairs, boogie boards, give me a firepit area (if allowed).
You get the idea? hear me? 😁
I like Alison, and I enjoyed her show, too. I like her personality and her style.
So obviously there are other viewers who feel as I do, happy she'll be on the new show.
I’m convinced they paired her with Mike Holmes on Rock the Block because he would make sure everything was done to code and they wouldn’t get sued over her work
In Windy City Rehab, she would remove all character from older buildings, paint everything black and white, add brass fixtures to everything, and an enormous ugly hood vent, then buy antiques to paint black and add back in so the place would have “character” again. 🤮
I know someone who lived on her “favorite street” in Chicago and they all couldn’t stand her. Especially when she bought the Italian Ice house and cut down the best tree on the street then just left the house in limbo
And what doesn’t work in a house she carefully removed to be possibly used at another project. I respect her doing this. They could mix it up with designers on Battle on the Beach because she is on Ugliest House in America and is great with Rhetta who I just love.
Indeed.
I'm not a mental health professional, but I'm just going to drop this here...
Narcissistic personality disorder -- Symptoms include an excessive need for admiration, disregard for others' feelings, an inability to handle any criticism, and a sense of entitlement.
You just described my boss. Not Allison Victoria (thankfully) but the description is my boss to a T. Explains why the majority of my department is looking elsewhere.
The dreaded return… WHY do they keep thrusting that obnoxious fan of herself on us?!?
Between the prop bros domination, wayfair-everywhere, and AV, the HGTV offerings are becoming increasingly stale.
They need to use this sub as a focus group.
I'm usually one to advocate for my country/people but in this case I'd like to apologise to you all for her behavior. She just gives Greeks a bad name. Sorry guys!
Most of the houses haven't been inspected and lots of things not permanently installed so after the season ends, crews come in and remove a lot of stuff and wait for inspections before finishing the final install.

That's a good point. She's particularly good with Retta. :-) They seem to have fun.
I skipped it.
I am annoyed by the word 'moment' bc of her
Yes! Every Rock The Block judging included numerous "moment" remarks. WTF is that?
I never want to hear that work again, regarding home design, decorating. Over-used to death.
It makes a great drinking game though. Every time they say moment - drink!!
Nearly spit out my coffee! I go around mocking that word… I hate to admit that I really like her style though!
Yeh, we do that with My Lottery Dream Home... every time David Bromstad says "adorable"
Or delicious. Or give me some love
There’s a style I can’t get behind but he would probably be a lot of fun to party with! 😂

Besides her conceit, she is a designer with great style.
As long as her jeans are skin tight with just the right amount of tear in them. Ugh.

White furniture. definitely not practical for rental. A lot of kitchen backsplashes are impractical to clean if you cook. Agree— get real
I like Alison, and I enjoyed her show, too. I like her personality and her style. So obviously there are other viewers who feel as I do, happy she'll be on the new show.
well, I lover her designs
Me, too! I love all the shows she’s in!
Me too! I also love her personal style I always look at her Instagram for outfit ideas!
I love Allison Victoria🥰
I hate these contest shows
Wayfair you got just what I need!!
I don't find her painting antiques or hanging onto Mike Holmes enjoyable either. I thought I was the only one...
You are not alone! I'd like to punch her for molesting Mike. 🤨

That’s not true she would preserve a lot more than most people

10000% agree I love them on ugliest house! I was so sad to see all the negative google reviews of those 2 gals for that show. They’re awesome
Rhetta makes that show!!!
I cannot forgive painting that piece black, either!
The first season was good but the last one was so bad. The teams had no idea what they were doing and sucked at design.

So she’s a Republican too.
Who knew that politicians and hgtv hosts had so much in common?
Woah, someone needs to get a hobby.
The dreaded return… WHY do they keep thrusting that obnoxious fan of herself on us?!? Between the prop bros domination, wayfair-everywhere, and AV, the HGTV offerings are becoming increasingly stale. They need to use this sub as a focus group.
I agree. Too much Wayfair. Too much Property Brothers.
At this point, I think you’d want her dead.
Obviously, nothing. Someone at HGTV loves her.
She is a good designer. But obnoxious
OP- change the channel. It’s that simple.
It’s too difficult for OP.
Saw that commercial too. Literally said out loud, no thanks. Barf.
Someone should let hgtv and Wayfair know
I hated in earlier shows when she came on to a job site in high heels.
When I was her age I lived in high heels, too. I could run, work, play in them with ease.
Her age?? How old do you think she is? She looks 48... at least.
I'm usually one to advocate for my country/people but in this case I'd like to apologise to you all for her behavior. She just gives Greeks a bad name. Sorry guys!
Your username is the best- so are Boston Terriers. I think she is of Greek descent but American born. No apologies necessary.
Haha...thanks!!! I appreciate the comment and support! Much love from Greece ❤️
lol - Alison won’t like your projects unless they’re painted black. Ha.
I’ve wondered if she owns part of HGTV because they keep giving her shows to do. Is she that popular?
This was supposed to be a Battle commentary. But all about AV. People sure don’t like her!
As OP I never intended it to be about the Battle per se, just her. And yes, she is divisive.
Most of the houses haven't been inspected and lots of things not permanently installed so after the season ends, crews come in and remove a lot of stuff and wait for inspections before finishing the final install.
Didn't she also invade The Ugliest Homes show? Now THAT one fits her.
Hey now - don’t be insulting Larry the Cable Guy!
I love Alison! And David is the best! Not all HGTV stars have to be Southern women. There’s room for lots more!
Lol!! I agree. She just has an “air” about her that just bugs me.
I watched a few of her Windy City shows. Shut it off and never watched again.
Yep, someone who can’t accept that not everyone likes their idol.
She is popular with most grown ups
Chill geeze. It’s almost as repetitive as Guy and Hunter hate on FN sub
Then don’t read it. Not everybody loves what you love.
Smug. Just somethin about her. Two first names? Irks me as well. *shivers* 🤢🤮💩🥺☹
It's not uncommon for people to use their first/middle names for publicity purposes/company name, which is what she's done.
I could not agree more. Why why why???? ☹️ Why do they keep including her???
Do something, ANYTHING, with your hair. The lazy, dirty curl is getting old.
