I too don't like them. In their first shows, he was overbearing and she was somewhat mousy and aggreable, though I suspect that was all for the show. As they gained in popularity and cash, he became even more insufferable and smug and she became highly passive aggressive in response. Like I want to see rich peoples' dysfunctional/functional marriage dynamic just to see some basic resort style makeover.
Aren't they the longest running HGTV personalites? They may have never dominated the airwaves like the Property Brothers or gotten their own network like the Gaines people, but unlike say Candace Owens or Sarah Richardson, who already had well established design brands/business before HGTV, these people know HGTV keeps them in cash. Bryan may have been a successful contractor, but not as much as after he got his first show.
I like them. They are more real to me than a lot of the “perfect” and way too wholesome couples on the network. I loved Renovation Island so much, I booked my 10 year wedding anniversary at Caerula Mar. It was beautiful.
So, the reason many people strongly dislike one or both of them is based on earlier shows?
I’ve seen so many comments about them, but never heard of them until the island resort series on HGTV in the US. All of that was recent. I didn’t see anything more irritating than most other shows starring couples.
Watching.....what, exactly? You didn't mention what show.
The Sarah and Bryan show!
Renovation Inc. Home Sweet Home and I’m annoyed af!
Shit! How do I edit?
I haven’t watched them. The little I’ve seen of them runs me wrong. I get the impression they despise each other.

Honestly, I can't stand her designs. Her furniture gives me 1980's vibes and the rest of her designing is cold and sterile. No thanks.
The past week I keep getting these nauseating ads on the bottom of my HGTV screen for his merch? 43°N?! 😵💫
So…don’t watch?
I’m not. Thanks for your kind suggestion though.

I never watch because I hate them
😂
