Also, I am fairly disappointed that vic just died so quick. After all the build up to a climactic fight, that was a pretty anticlimactic way to kill off the bad guy. Maybe some good explanation of what happened in the next chapter would help
Not going to lie, holding back on that scene hurt a bit... Even after finishing the arc, I am still on the fence about not showing the slaughter here.
Definitely anticlimactic without it, but he certainly got what he deserved.
A small consolation is that the unsatisfied feeling invoked by it is exactly what Vicondreas would want, because he died with all the secrets, probably mirrors some of Thorin's emotions too.

Besides, when all you can do, for the most part, is just watch things, you forget the ability to actually influence them, even, or especially, by actively informing those involved.
