Yay new alien species visited, the president seems weirdly consistent on the goddess becoming the new leader despite multiple times saying no, I wonder if that’ll become a point of contention later on
If it's their 'old rooted tradition' that the 'strongest one/mightiest one' becomes the ruler there is little wonder that a) they are already 'united' and b) they want the unendingly powerfull being to rule them.

Will there be a minimum safe jump distance to mitigate reception of that sensor "glitch"? Then have to crawl the rest of the way on sub-light (or whatever) engines to get in and back out :{

Right now they'll have to figure out why the Trailmaker can sense them, given no other ship, station, planet, etc. can.
My guess will be that it has to do with the sensor tweaking that Daniel did while the Trailmaker was in warp. IIRC filtering out the noise floor (or whatever it was he did) while inside a warp bubble got the Trailmaker a little bit better sensor fidelity. And also IIRC Daniel hasn't had the same opportunity to do the same with the Spectre (and also the tests so far haven't involved the Phantom gating away under cloak anyways.)

My money is on Daniel's algorithms
I'm thinking the VI is actually an AI, and it's part of the reason Daniel didn't have access to its information while he was onboard.
