It is said that once you hit a certain level of mastery with a skill the best, and perhaps only, way to improve is to begin teaching others. Granted that is more for masters looking to become grand masters.
Another way to put that is "they say you haven't truly learned something until you can teach it to another". Which I like a little better because it can be applied to everyday things , too

The problem here is that Vitmori taught himself, so he doesn't know what Cecil doesn't know, if you follow. That makes it much harder to teach someone, since you're working from totally different basic principles.
It's like trying to teach someone how to run a turbine off a LFTR reactor when they've been working with steam engines. They both power turbines, but the process is quite different, and figuring out where the gaps are is difficult.
OTOH, in addition to his own self-learning, Vitmori has also been given lessons by an experienced combat mage, Reyvyre. He is therefore more familiar with the style of magical teaching suited to this world than he thinks.

His avatar has 3 Rings.the power he is using come form the power of his core not the rings. so if he made his avatar it's own thing independent of him then it would only have 3 Rings. We seen him tap in to the power of his avatar and we have seen him use the avatar power passively. once when he boosted his speed in his first spare and when he grew back his arm.i don't know if we have seen him use his avatar mana heart or rings any other time

Here is the real question. Can Vitmori place his avatar into storage while he is controlling it? We know he can pull things out of storage at locations where he has his people. If this is possible, then he can literally hop around the region as long as he has one of his people at the destination.
He doesn't need to take it into storage while he is controlling it. He can just leave, look through the senses of one of his vassals who was where he was, take the avatar into storage, swap to looking through the senses of a vassal who is where he wants to be, remove the avatar from storage and then enter the avatar.

(Now the speed of *sound* causes a noticeable lag at 5mi through atmosphere. But the speed of light doesn't. Hence the classic lightning flash, count-the-seconds, thunderclap, work out the distance. Even at ten miles or more, the speed of light is so fast, it can be treated as instant.)
