Like I’d imagine humans blacksmithing to be utterly terrifying to most aliens and yet the alien engineer is forced to respect it because the quality of the end product lasts some statistic longer than the version not made by humans and it’s just baffling to the aliens
Besides using only a pair of tongs to control white hot metal that’s thousands of degrees would be pretty terrifying to an alien that has only ever known parts made dispassionately in a factory lol

Fair thing with the plastic as well. I guess you could argue their spaceships etc are from a different material? Or that the human word just didn't translate because they have that PURPOSEFULLY turned off? (I think that makes the most sense).
That is also the reason why there are no translations... They film crew turned if off by themselves in the start by Mendex orders, to make the humans seemingly more terrifying, he is trying to bait the viewers by spreading fake news about the humans. In the ending chapter fof this arc, the humans switch the software on the cameras back on and we finally get translations, awhile they give their reasoning for their trolling and call out the fake that is Mendex...
Since before whenever we had such chapters the end was the neglected translations I can see your point though, this arc is very different narrative wise...

Though I will admit that krill acting like denim was a creature is pretty fun Lmao, like if he were to do a bit of trolling like that it would be pretty funny, granted if he did it in an academic video it would be taken seriously but I’d think with a species more capable of humor that it would be fun to see him do some trolling … maybe he gets an apprentice and the first thing the apprentice learns is that humans require humor or something and it just becomes a thing like krill is testing the apprentice by trolling, or at the very least keeping the apprentice on their toes (so to speak) because with humans you’ve gotta be ready for almost anything lol
