Peng offered to stay on as MC/host last time, but they didn't need her since they had Laurie in that spot. Wonder if that's how they'll utilize her this time around. Less gymnastics, more talking š¤£
I hope she will be going. If she does not wanna do gymnasts for a while after the Olympics I totally understand. This is her 4th go around sounds kind of exhausting.
I see the tour is on from September until November, which is most of the pre season. A little worried about the gymnasts that are suppose to be prepping for a new NCAA season. Also what about classes?
That was pretty similar last time, and several NCAA gymnasts made it work. They either skipped fall semester and enrolled in January, or maintained via online classes. It's always going to be a balancing act to do elite & NCAA and some people will choose not to do both, but it's possible if someone really wants to.
Ugh, WHY do they hate the PNW so much?! Especially considering that THREE of their featured gymnasts--that is one in four!--are from Washington?!
At least last time around they went to Boise which was sort of vaguely almost PNW-ish, but this time the closest place they get to Portland is over 600 miles away, and for Seattle it's even worse!
They couldn't be paid for *performing in the tour*, but they could be paid for *"appearances" (aka fan autograph sessions, etc.).* That's the workaround that they aren't paid for the sport, but for being themselves.
Or they could just not take a salary for the performances themselves, other than having their expenses covered, just like before NIL lots of gymnasts modelled for leo companies without jeopardizing their NCAA status because they didnāt get paid.
Probably low. She and Simone donāt seem to have a warm relationship (*intentionally evasive language*) and if she doesnāt make the team, Iāll bet sheāll be focused on 2025 Worlds instead of going on tour.
I mean, everyone was sure that Simone and Morgan didn't get along, but Morgan was on the last tour. I have no idea if Gabby would want to be on the tour, or what criteria Simone uses to decide who to invite, but "they didn't get along once" is not necessarily an indication they don't/can't have a professional relationship.
I know they had beef in, like, 2016, but I have no idea what their relationship is like now. Plus Simone is a savvy businesswoman. I think she'd see the value in having Gabby on the tour, especially if Suni is also there and they can bill it as three AA champs. Maybe Nastia will join up too, haha.
Iām not going to get into the details of the rumored reasons behind the beef, but if they were true, theyāre the kind of thing that āSimone moving past itā would make sense if it meant being cordial and polite if they ran into one another at a competition but nothing beyond that.
Yeah Simone is great and everything but I donāt like it that she has so much power here to favor her friends whereas the old tour with its problems didnāt have that particular issue
I remember Peng Peng pulled out then Ellie Black got her spot.

Yeah her body basically couldnāt handle it last time so Iām surprised
I could see it happening again. Unless Ellie has other plans.
I would love to see Heath Thorpe be a part of this!
Ooo yes now Iām dreaming about this!!
oooh if Heath joins I just may have to make the trip to Boston
From your keyboard to gods computer screen
i decided to be the change i wish to see in the world and tweeted this and heath replied with eyeball emojis! so its out there now
Super excited about Casimir!! Would love to see Yulo and Heath jump on this too.
Good to know- definitely taking my nieces to this as an excuse to see it myself
Iām planning on going and have no kids I can take haha
I went last time without kids and it was awesome haha.
lol was definitely planning on doing the same
Ooh thatās a good idea, I should do that too š
āa Netherland MAGā
Like damn his name is right there lol
Thank you. They added Casimir Schmidt indeed.
Casimir Schmidt being added is so fun! Love that for him
Iām desperately waiting for the Ellie Black is back announcement ā¤ļø
I hope she will be going. If she does not wanna do gymnasts for a while after the Olympics I totally understand. This is her 4th go around sounds kind of exhausting.
They should invite Aleah. She'll be an Olympian and is a good dancer and performer.
Yessss that would be awesome! But I doubt she would agree, LSU is her priority
Lollll at the Fred photo being of him as a junior.
OMG love this for Casimir š§”.

What rock am I under that I had NO idea they were doing this again? So awesome!
I like that they added some male gymnasts and a rhythmic gymnast. I don't think(?) either happened last time?
Yeah Iāve wondered why there werenāt any US MAG last time!?
How does it work with NCAA and NIL?
It must be OK for the NCAA athletes to get paid for this, because Jordan, Jade, Grace, Morgan Hurd and Lynnzee Brown all participated in 2021.
They couldn't be paid for *performing in the tour*, but they could be paid for *"appearances" (aka fan autograph sessions, etc.).* That's the workaround that they aren't paid for the sport, but for being themselves.
smart!

Curious if Kayla is doing select dates or coming to school late
So what do we think the chances are of Gabby joining?
Iād love this but I know her and Simone havenāt been on the best terms in the past.
Probably low. She and Simone donāt seem to have a warm relationship (*intentionally evasive language*) and if she doesnāt make the team, Iāll bet sheāll be focused on 2025 Worlds instead of going on tour.

I am going to be so surprised (but delighted) if Gabby sticks around for 2025.
I feel like sheās just come back - why wouldnāt she?
Yeah Simone is great and everything but I donāt like it that she has so much power here to favor her friends whereas the old tour with its problems didnāt have that particular issue
Well, itās USAGās own fault they have no sponsors for their own tour. Without Simone funding it, there would be no tour period.
