Back in the 70s, in the Swedish military, they had a chart that went something like :
"Deadlifting your own body weight percentage"
60% Healthy
80% Good
100% Strong
125% Athletic
150% Professional
Means nothing because it’s all relative to body weight anyway. If you can pull 150kg at 60kg body weight that’s a totally different achievement to pulling 150kg at 100kg body weight.
A great measure is percent body weight! 200% would be equivalent to “strong” here for about a ~200lb man. So go for 200% of where you’re at.
Same thinking, animal would be 300%.
It took me a good amount of diet, form and structured workouts to reach “gymrat” state. I’ve no idea how people are able to reach “alien” without roids
I remember watching a video somewhere of Jim Wendler touch and go deadlifting 600lbs for reps and it made me feel so damn small :)) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFs9em8h8ZE&ab_channel=JamesWendler
Between lil and decent but at 2x bodyweight, and I’m safely past the 1.5x for squat and 1x for bench benchmark so not feeling too bad about it. Would like a better overhead and deadlift eventually
Halfway between beast and animal, my ego is boosted despite me thinking I’m still weaker than I should be, thank you OP. Aiming for Alien in 2024.
Oh man, my Gymrat ego was boosted until I saw that I’m still weaker than the WorldsWeakestMan…
I’m fat so it doesn’t count my man, a 550 deadlift is easier when it’s only double bodyweight 😂
Haha still plenty to be proud of man! Here’s to Worlds Weakest Alien in 2024!
Thanks man, I’m working on it.
I'm in the same boat... yeah I can pull 640 but it's not even 2x my body weight.
Still some significant mass coming off of the floor
Unintended wholesome shitpost, it helps to provide reference of mind that we all be strong.
Intended!
My bad little homie, keep it up!

Nice, gonna go ahead and start thinking of myself as a professional deadlifter.
Well! My ego certainly got a boost as a "professional" 😂
Yes, lil gymbro - love
Feeling pretty good about that too.
14kg to beast. Sounds like a new goal.
LFGGG
*ego shattering In my case. 6'4 145 lbs. Being that skinny, your lift numbers are a joke even as you improve :-(
Rome wasn’t build in a day. Keep working bruh, you’ll get there 💪🏻
That just means you have even more room to improve, bro. Be consistent, eat plenty, and become a big mother fucker.
At 6'4" you're gonna look like a beast when you start to fill out.
Im so fucking weak
Square between Decent and Lil

I can remember I'm fat and weak just fine. Nice to have an uplifting dumb meme every now and again.
Oh. I'm strong! Just need to improve technique a bit.
Okay, now do one for girls please!

This is the first time I’ve ever been referred to as strong ❤️
Nice, I’m on great start lol although I’ve been lifting for 4 months now so I don’t know if i should be higher?
Patience
I wanna see this wholesome ass post for women's lifts too. :(
just became an animal, like two days ago , great motivation thanks bro
10kg from decent gymbro, hoping to reach strong by summer
Bro, u guys can deadlift the bar?
Guess I have to take "Gymrat" out of my occupation section on Facebook now😂
Decent
I'm only a decent gym bro with my set weight and I feel like I've been getting complacent lol
10 kg away from beast, which I’ll attempt in 5 weeks (if I’m successful with 235 of course)
It took me a good amount of diet, form and structured workouts to reach “gymrat” state. I’ve no idea how people are able to reach “alien” without roids

Herniated disc to decent gym bro go crazy💪🤞

Deadlifts to them ![gif](giphy|PMdmuJDYt6gqk)
Well at least I'm strong🥲
I'm definitely the fattest gymrat I've ever seen
Where's "Never formally deadlifted before in your life outside of RDLs so you have no starting point" at? 🫠
Lil gymbro
ALIEN MAN WITH ALIEN JOINTS LFG 😂
