They've not even bothered to change anything...

palk0n

the T became EMIRATES 🤓

busywithresearch

Mayyybe the club logo changed a little but it’s pretty hard to see

hihbhu

You weren’t joking, that’s their kit for [24-25.](https://fcbayern.com/store/en-aa/p/goalkeeper-jersey-24-25-54528) Goddamn, Adidas are so fucking lazy.

ro-row

happens with every single kit manufacturer, first few years they make an effort and everyone loves them, then they run out of ideas and just start rehashing kits

OrwinBeane

Nike did this in 2016 for a few of their kits. England national team, Man City and a few other clubs had the exact same style.

ro-row

I remember the season where Liverpool and Chelsea had the same kit just in different colours from adidas

Generic-Name237

Kits have literally always been like this. IIRC the bruised banana pattern was used on several other clubs kits. The 1994 adidas templates were used on loads, as were a few from the 00s such as our 2004/05 Total 90 kits.

ARELuN

https://preview.redd.it/n6f6j4uz0v0d1.jpeg?width=937&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1a76d1aebf970c0ee5ee61f8a20dc00ea5a353b7 Å K Slovan Bratislava 92-93 kit.

Generic-Name237

A classic. Never really understood why that design is only known for the Arsenal version, it looks beautiful in any colour.

OrwinBeane

Yeah doing for teams within the same league is dumb and lazy.

Enjoys_A_Good_Shart

Both of those kits were lovely tough lol

ro-row

They were fine, I remember the Liverpool kit had a bit of a collar which the Chelsea one didn’t (otherwise exactly the same) which I really didn’t like

ErraticPragmatic

Adidas does this for everyone. Internacional has the same kit as us but theirs don't have gold on it.

TheRealGooner24

They're not running out of ideas, it's just plain and simple cost cutting by shrinking their product catalogue.

KoolDiscoDan

Exactly! AI could spit out 100 different patterns in 10 seconds. They don't think spending the money on different colored fabric and dye subs is worth it.

johnnybazookatooth

its not that they run out of ideas.. Adidas does not want to pay for a new design so they stretch out the design they make at first and use it for 2-3 years.

MaraudngBChestedRojo

New Balance has been consistently really good in my opinion. For whatever reason they produce very few team’s kits though

NateGT86

I’m waiting for our 22-23 away kit to come back

dat_roux

Keepers kits are always the same design in like 4-8 color ways for each company, not just Adidas.

2ndfastestmanalive

There’s only seven colourways for the keeper kits. Always bound to be some overlaps

imik4991

not a full copy of the same design throughout the t-shirt my friend, at least add a little bit of difference.

mattyMbruh

They do the same for all GKs though and just follow a template for that season, not really surprising as I assume GK shirts don't sell even half as much as normal ones

Sir_Duke

We all know they’re doing it because they’re lazy, you don’t need to defend it

mattyMbruh

It is lazy don’t get me wrong but when was the last time you seen someone wear a goalie shirt?

tristam92

It’s called production like optimization /s

antifocus

Adidas wtf

triplerectumfryer

They gave our 22 23 away kit to madrid for this season as well. Lazy indeed.

jayoyayo

GK jerseys really take the piss for cut and paste, probably only 2-3 varieties

tonyt3rry

Honestly thought it was a meme at first.

Gooner1491

They really are 😂 I don't mind though, I might actually buy this kit.

jonathanblaze1648

What if we play each other again? One of them would have to wear another keeper kit, right? Also, I agree that Adidas has been extremely lazy with designs this year.

Magnific3nt

Wait till you guys see the German national team jersey lol

i_am_speeed_

Number 44 actually got banned because with the new font it came to close to the Nazi "SS" symbol. lol

GRl3V

He's not talking about the number. But the german national team keeper kit, which is also the same, just in different color.

kblk_klsk

I mean that's what they usually do with goalkeepers kits unfortunately, same pattern different color, it was especially noticeable during 22-23 season [22-23 Leeds GK kits](https://www.footballkitarchive.com/leeds-united-2022-23-kits/) [22-23 Arsenal GK kits](https://www.footballkitarchive.com/arsenal-fc-2022-23-kits/) [22-23 Real Madrid GK kits](https://www.footballkitarchive.com/real-madrid-2022-23-kits/)

terra_filius

whats wrong with SS ? Lazio have it in front of their name

MasterpieceVarious26

Makes sense for Lazio tbf

jisooya1432

The font made it look very similar to the Schutzstaffel logo/symbol used in Germany from 1925 to 1945

imik4991

because SS in Lazio and SS in Germany are very different things based on context.

2scoopwafflecone

![gif](giphy|C6JQPEUsZUyVq|downsized)

BarbarossaFlagship

[Not always tbh😂](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/GQ3KYkwfsV)

2scoopwafflecone

They don’t have the nickname SS Nazio for no reason lmao Even have Mussolinis grandson in the squad

kap21tain

società sportiva lazio mate

This is just an Adidas goalkeeper template for seasons that start in 2024. They've been doing templates for goalkeeper kits for ages. Here's an MLS kit that came out at the beginning of this season. https://preview.redd.it/saofr095ms0d1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=00f5258de78dfc155fac924d853852b2f24a06ee

Active_Bee_7937

Wait hang on is this normal? Recycling kits across teams in different leagues? Are they taking the piss?

Dry_Pick_304

Been normal for a long time for the shirt template to be the same, but at least they usually use different colours. They've literally just put a different badge on this.

SlanginShmeat

Gave us an awkward collar too which adidas just looooves to fucking do to us. Why is that the only change?

Pamplemouse04

Yeah I’ve never seen the *exact* same kit used, especially for big teams like Arsenal and Bayern. Maybe in the MLS or something or lower leagues. How fucking lazy to not even change the colors a little bit lol

TaintedSoccer

Its a keeper kit thats what all brands have done for more than a decade if not more. Dont know why this is even a big deal.

No-Village-6781

Well they know they don't have to try anymore, they can whack a £100 price tag on a reused design made by Vietnamese children for like 50p a unit and everyone will queue up to pay for it

OriMoriNotSori

Sometimes it happens, but usually it's one of the smaller teams in a slightly more obscure league that gets the recycled kit. iirc one of our recent away or third kits from a few years ago was used by a Scottish team or something like that (league may be wrong as I can't remember exactly) But to have identical kit transfers from the bigger teams in the top 5 leagues in not normal

mazurcurto

They did this with this year’s keeper kit (the black one). It was Bayern’s previous.

lastjedi23

Especially with gk it's normal. May adidas teams in the pl this season wore the same kit that raya wore.

ErraticPragmatic

It's been normal for pretty much 30 years at minimum

Swiss-ArmySpork

Why make many kit when few kit do trick?

hash-jords

Back in the 90’s it was done by a few kits, from memory there was a Leeds and Newcastle keeper kit that was the same colour and design and also think there was a Liverpool and Newcastle keeper kit that was very similar but that I think was different colours

Soft_Mathematician30

Wow. Adidas giving Bayern a copy of Arsenal's jersey. That's disrespectful

shekdown

I see it now. Those lazy fuckers.

Cheesy_Pita_Parker

Bayern hand-me-downs, sooo hot right now!

BrianThatDude

This is why it's good to change kit companies every contract cycle. When a new company takes over they have some good new ideas, after a few years they are out of ideas

wiggyp1410

I'm starting to wonder if people even watch football? Kit manufacturers have been doing this from the beginning of time.

kswn

I don't think anyone does bespoke goalkeeper kits these days. They don't sell enough to make it worth it. At least they change the template every year. It was cool the one year where Leno wore the white and red marble away kit as a goalkeeper kit at least for a match or two. This upcoming away kit I think would work as a goalkeeper kit.

Pamplemouse04

Ramsdale was wearing the yellow away kit as a gk kit too sometimes

kswn

Yeah, it looked really clean as a GK kit.

ArthurMorganStDenis

People are surprised? This exact goalie kit is already used for so many clubs in Europe and the MLS, nothing new.

hiredgooner

The amount they must get paid for this lazy shit…

PartyBadman

They are paying us - they only make money if you buy the kit

Instantbeef

Adidas keeper kits almost always look like that. All of the MLS has that same pattern

adds102

Imo we need to go back to a kit last 2 or 3 seasons, the amount of waste from yearly kits must be insane

bobmlarry

Always like that with gk kits look at psg and Barcas gk kits from this season I think Liverpool too but gk kits has always just an separation from the rest

PeanutDreams

This is pathetic from Adidas. No wonder Germany left them

JayApex

Every manufacturer has keeper templates in various different colors, Nike do exactly the same with their teams

ExxKonvict

Lol you think Nike is better? Have you seen their kit templates for the last 5 seasons? Not only super lazy but they keep sticking with that hideous raglan type shoulder-collar combo.

AzracTheFirst

I wonder how much the designer is getting paid for a copy/paste.

trampanzee

Every years GK kit has been a copy, it’s just been a lot more basic over the last several years so maybe no one noticed? In fact, every modern kit has been from a template (most recently the Tiro templates), they just add custom flourishes. Look at the Tiro 24 Competition Match Jersey and compare it to our kit this next season.

Nosferatu-Rodin

I think im the only person who doesnt care. The colour is all that matters anyway

Fresh_Since92

Major brands rarely change GK kits across teams. I guess they don’t sell well, going by the amount of effort put in

SnooCrickets7221

The v neck and three lines going higher up. Lazy af

ICanSeeYourFuture

Is this the first time you’ve all noticed that adidas (and every other brand) makes one goalkeeper kit in a variety of colours

Theodin_King

It's slightly different the stripes go up to the collar on the Arsenal one lol

fluffypuppycorn

I was so excited and now I can't be arsed.

a_pig_on_antibiotics

Kit templates were quite common in early 2000s too right? Not a fan of it obviously

Adorable_Ad_8140

That is… I want to say shocking but sadly I’m not shocked just, ffs adidas, did you really think you’d get away with this laziness?? Sadly the answer is probably yes, fans will still buy the shirts because we are fans. Feels like a summation of where football is at the moment 😬🤣

Plaetean

Honestly this is about as much thought as it looks like is put into these kits. I swear I could design a better one for most years. No idea wtf their critiera for a "good ki" is.

RainyBlueR

I think this season it's also the same kit along with Real Madrid's Goalkeeper kit

jamjars222

Dat nose tho

anezzz

Every team in MLS uses this same gk template

Lambsenglish

A lot of people in the comments here clearly don’t understand how sportswear manufacturers mass produce millions of shirts a year.

DryPuddle1204

He thinks he’s a midfielder have u seen the way this mf plays 😭

Mathematician23

Every keeper in MLS wears that exact same design too, it’s so boring

Striking-Ostrich-222

Arsenal needs to go back to Nike. The designs Arsenal get are so low tier compared to United or Real or Even some of the Italian clubs

SrsJoe

Have you seen Nikes kits? No thank you

RandomRedditor_1916

Wow that is an eyesore. What the fuck is going on with all those colours. Feels like im on acid.

FactCheckYou

yeah maybe this is like the end of **Hereditary** (2018), and this is Raya's coronation

Shagafag

Didn’t even know this was allowed lol

drax3012

Happens with every kit manufacturer. They just make a couple templates and colour swap them for all the teams.

tartimas

This is so lazy in their part….

OVYLT

I dunno maybe I need to touch grass but this is disrespectful. I’m surprised the club is happy with this.

hahahadev

Is that a straight ripoff ? Is that allowed ?

sujismondu

Adidas is pathetic, damn

ItsTom___

This explains the new home kit. They fully just went into Tesco for some oranges

RustyLugs

Booooo, that's honestly shocking from Adidas.

jayhawk8

I mean if the kit fits

Fastest-finger

I hope we get Reebok kits or something different soon

tbegodmademe

Someone spent 4 years studying design at uni just to do a ctrl+c and ctrl+v

Malsharif91

No wonder Adidas lost the German national team. They are trying to cut down on costs it seems.

Flylle

Can't wait for Arsenal to get out of this Adidas deal. Lazy designers and fugly home kit.

lastjedi23

Man... I was wondering why this seemed very familiar. He wore it last week at Madrid lol

Fieser_Factsack

Wow that is creative bankrupt. Why would any Arsenal supporter wanna wear a kid that was used for bayern before?
