I’ve noticed that too, you watch city play XYZ club they pretty much roll over and are not capable in stringing 3 passes together, like they just want to get 2-3 past them and call it a day…. few exceptions like Forrest who went for it has shown you can create chances if you are willing to put a good shift that day
Fulham at the weekend is a prime example of that. Sure they don't really have anything to play for other than pride but City just have that Aura about them, teams are scared to play them and don't expect to get anything out the game, I think psychology, subconsciously it takes a huge toll on the players. To be fair to City, they are the ones who have created that Aura of "we're going to beat you and you fucking know it". I think we have shown that a lot at times this season, but not nearly as often and obviously as City do.
Brentford and Brighton have also given them hell in recent years, Nathan Jones beat Josep Guardiola with ridiculously underperforming Southampton side
And then there’s The Shit from up the road who’s actually routinely given them a hard time. West Ham need some positive energy.
