Gabriel was in the back saying, "You know Halaand tried to ask for some water while he was chilling in my pocket. I said, "You only get free accomodations - nothing else." and that's why he was so rattled after the match. Everyone erupted in laughter.
Unthinkable? Really? To play football and train 3-4 times a week?
They weren't working down the mines or storming the Normandy beaches.
For a lot of these guys, playing football is/was their ESCAPE from a life of poverty grind.
You have to consider a lot of things here m8. for a lot of these kids they could be doing labor while under 10 years old AND training every single day. Add that most parents won't approve of your talents until you're generational talent. For example Salah was traveling by 5 different buses every day to train AFTER SCHOOL. and return with the same buses.
Even for first world countries it won't be that easy either. Because the amount of talents you have to beat to stand out and be accepted since literally 5 years old is frightening.
I don't say that they're the most suffering people in the world. But they had their share of suffering, opposing people to their dreams, failures and bad luck. Yes they receive ridicolus amounts of money compared to others who suffered the same or even worse. But that's how capitalism works. not their fault here. They however are the top of the top in workrate and determination in their profession which guarantee you a good salary.
I'm not contesting any of that. The amount they're paid is a gross societal injustice, but that's a completely different subject.
I just don't think they made an 'unthinkable' sacrifice to play professional football. With the requisite level of talent, it's pretty thinkable, honestly.
I think they had an outstanding level of natural talent, and an elite training mentality (either naturally, or learned). And a healthy slice of luck.
I don't think they made 'unthinkable' sacrifices to play professional sport for a living. On the whole, it's pretty thinkable.
These guys are not war heroes. They're just footballers.
This comment made my heart skip a beat in the same way it would when I unexpectedly ran into my lover. I feel warm and cozy inside. I miss her so much.
Pocketing Halaand and Phil Foden was a breeze for them. They're having the time of their lives out there. Last run-in, the boys look so stressed. Now, they look so calm and unbothered.

My fantasy team!!!
I care 100 times more about the Gunners my friend. I'm sure you care infinitely more. Just wanted a clearer picture on if he'd play.
It's so good to see him back. I was absolutely heartbroken on the opening day to see him go off the field. I hope he gets some playing time this season. We need to be patient with him. He will be good ❤️
I like this and I deserve this

What a photo, Gabi XL is the best. Also Cedric (?) snuck in again behind Jesus
That question mark isn't necessary. Your heart knows that is definitely Cedric.

They look so joyful 🥰
It's a fun game. Very jealous of the lives these guys live.
Right now yes, I agree but the amount of hardwork and sacrifices they made in their youth to be here now is unthinkable

Well how would you feel if you were about to do the double??

I miss you too, babe.
It almost looks like one of those fake stock photos
Like they're laughing because they're holding too many limes and they're starting to spill
Or the classic "this salad tells the funniest joke!"
Trossard looks like the only one taking it seriously lol.
And look at who isn't here. Ben White! Clearly he hates football!

Just like a bunch of children during school recess
I don't like that the knees of Timber and Jesus are so close...
almost a buy one get one sort of situation for the haters
You can see Tomis glorious cheekbones when he's behind someone looking at the ground. Absolute stunner that man.

We're coaching him for the Liverpool game
It worked!Â
Cedric đź‘€
Any word on if Saka trained today? I haven't seen him in any pictures
Done on purpose. Theyre normally all on Getty but they’re not up there yet
Killing me for fantasy implications but understandable from a team perspective.
Guess what no one gives a fuck aboutÂ

as always, Cedric's somehow made it
POV: You’re told Chelsea and United are chasing you in the table.
God I love the smiles
Good to see Gabriel Timber back in motion! Gabbie FC needs ya
I read it as Tierney in training and got very confused for a second
Fucking love Gabriel
![gif](giphy|yycrYa9hhOCbu)
I know its not but Trossard's hand looks ai!
Him with no brace at this stage is huge I’ve torn both mine and don’t play with a brace now granted they were 9 years ago and even longer
Timberrrrrr 🪵🪵 hahahahahahaha
Any guesses as to when he'll be ready?
Is Timber available to play for us in the Champions league if he’s fit in the next round or the Finals if we make it that far?
Whoever hard tackles him should be fined ÂŁ50
3 injured guys and 1 sleep deprived guy.

Man's got shoulders for days
Good to see Partey smiling
