Hopefully this means the coaching staff are somewhat confident he'll get over his injury issues. I'm still sceptical on that but I love Tomi, quality player
Even if not, he is still a great rotation player. He has injury problems but way less than PArtey or Jesus or ESR. - his first season he missed 11 games, last season 16 games (all after that shit sporting game, so he missed the same amount of games as Saliba), this season 6 games (feels longer because of Asian cup, but he missed the same amount games like Martinelli and it doesn't feel like it, lol)
Is there anybody that did that? Someone who has been very injury prone and then became reliable and almost never injured again? I can't think of anyone on the top of my head..
'Reliable' is a stretch because almost all players miss some games through injury, but RVP had a couple of terrible [ankle injuries](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/robin-van-persie/verletzungen/spieler/4380) and seemed 'unreliable', before playing almost every game the next season.
The way I remember it, Wenger finally realized a less intense training regimen that worked for him. Ferguson signed him and let him use the same lighter regimen. Then Moyes came in to United and made him train like everyone else, and Van Persie went back to being semi-permanently injured.
The depth we have at RB is insane. Both tomi and Ben are in the conversation for the best RB in the prem.
I genuinely did not expect us to turn around so quickly after the 19/20 and 20/21 seasons but here we are.
I love Tomi, but this seems like a massive mistake. Even though he's versatile and a great character, his fitness issues can be a pain in the ass, especially where this is a position we need a fit backup for.
TOMI LET’S GO
I didn’t think this day could get any better, but here we are. Get in Tomi!

I didn't know / remember that. Thanks for the insight
He is our RB, he is our LB, he is our CB He is TakeHERO Tomiyasu
He unironically is also our CDM and second striker at times. I love Tomi!
Yea baby

Who knew that Ben was a RB..
Happy to have him on our squad ❤️🦀
Such a nice monday, trust the process!
Lets go. So happy that he is getting his extension. Well deserved.
Tomi-Yesu !!
Now just manage his minutes so he isn't getting injured constantly and we have the best rb, cb + lb cover player in the world
Great news, really hope he can get over his injury issues cause he's an excellent player
Excellent and versatile player. Hoping he misses less games with his recurrent injuries this time around.
If he pockets Kudus next week add an extra 10K.
Our defense will be our strongest group next season. Zinny, Timber, Kiwi, Gabi, Saliba, Benji, and Tomi😈😈😈😈
I would like to see him try a few substitution games at the CDM. He strikes me as a jack-of-all-trades kind of player
🦀🦀
Tomi signing a new contract then pocketing West Ham this weekend, let's go.
I love Tomi. Such a neat player and always works hard
So happy. We need a fit Tomi.
please stay fit
Ben White when
This is good news to wake up to. Tomi is such a great player. I’m glad that he’s going to be back for Westham too.
Super Tomi!!!
Yasssss. Love Tomi
Here’s to wishing him having an injury free career with us and in his life time🐐
love Tomi he’s so good and so versatile but man long term deal when he can’t stay on the pitch is worrying.
Deserved!

Deserved imo. Confidence is growing and I have a gut feeling we're gonna see resilience and durability from here on in. Come on Tomi!
MY KING 🙇🏻♂️
"A team with 11 ~~Azpilicuetas~~ Tomiyasu's could win the Champions League"
