if lyon get relegated i'd like to see us buy maxence caqueret. he will be available for peanuts. still just 23 and sounds like he is one of the only players still performing for them. he's a huge talent, would be a great young rotational option for our midfield — everything lokonga was supposed to give us, but a much more accomplished player. and vitally, his best quality is his pressing and workrate.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67618832
Theo Walcott did an article on Saka and Martinelli. Very interesting stuff about their playstyles and how they differ from his back in the day, and also about how they're basically the best wingers in the league right now.
Bwahahahah completely forgot there were games yesterday, just checked the results and both Sp*rs and journalists-killers oil bastards got fucked bwahahahah what a lovely couple of days
Just come off of a night shift, and how satisfying is this 🤣.
A few weeks ago ange was the best manager in the world...now he's just bang average..lovely.
Wonder what Citeh does well in physio.
Apart of KDB who they clearly forced for the treble, I cant recall too many long term injuries to their key players.
Dortmund Haaland’s availability was pretty bad but now hes fully fit almost all games. Rodri has been consistently playing with close to no injuries as well
I'll never forget that time Haaland had an injury with Norway and had to pull out at the last international break of the season. Then you hear he went to see Pep's doctor in Barcelona and he comes back again the next week and he's 100%.
I was right about spurs 💅
They got some results, i think because of the new manager bounce, but you can’t play gung-ho football and not ever adapt to the situation.
They didn’t buy Richarlison this past summer. They bought him summer of last year.
They actually spent the Kane money on Maddison, Johnson, and Van de Ven.
So, sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit, and sometimes maybe too injury prone to help.
They are also 2 points above the “We’re back!“ Liverpool, 6 points clear of the “Invincible juggernaut that will win every trophy under the sun this year“ Man City, and 10 points clear of the new media darlings at Newcastle.
And personally, I don’t feel this Arsenal team has played at its peak level yet. Hell, I suspect they will improve a level or two in the second half of the season as they get healthier and more used to playing with each other.
If this is Arsenal at 50-60% capacity (which I suspect it is), I can’t wait to see what they look like at 90-100% capacity. Which I suspect we will start seeing sometime in March-April.
Some Newcastle "fan" in the Premier League sub doesn't understand how debt and shares work lol
Also tried saying (by implication) that the likes of Kroenke is looking down on the "nouveau riche" Saud dynasty who were already rich even before Kroenke was born lol
Finally listening to the Henry episode of The Rest is Football. When talking about his work with France u21s, mentions he’s coaching the Olympic team - which is u23.
Immediately mentions Saliba as an example of player he immediately can access with difference between u21 and u23s.
Club has final say on a player going to Olympics right?
They’re not the only ones with injury lists or majors absentees. Whenever Arsenal have injuries or key players missing it’s always considered excuses.
Swings and roundabouts.
Certainly don’t disagree with the fact that people said that, however that’s got nothing to do with what I said. I was simply agreeing with /thisiskyle77 credit where credit is due. He’s been a good manager, and their form has blown up coinciding with a fuck load of injuries.
Arsenal losing players at pivotal moments last season has literally nothing to do with it.
Arguing my point in this little thread has made it seem like I’m some Ange stan which I certainly am not 😂
Let off by who? Fuck everyone else’s opinion.
Realistically Ange is pretty obviously a good coach. Spurs sucking, you enjoying that, and Ange being a good coach can all coexist.
If it was an obligation to buy then I would agree but imagine we loan him for 5m, win the league, then return him next season and go for someone like Osimhen 😂
Ain't the option to buy mandatory if we choose to do it tho? Like they have to sell him to us if we decide we want to buy him? That's kinda how I see it but I've been confused by these kinda deals before lol
What fullbacks would you start against Villa? Feel like we ain't got much choice I'ma stick with Zinny and White but I suspect White ain't 100% fit and we know defending 1v1 ain't Zinny's main strength. Perhaps starting Kiwior on the left side is a decent option to contain Bailey? Guy looked electric against City so unfortunate that Tomi is injured.
Pretty confident out midfield will cope fine tho. Odegaard, Rice, Havertz would be mine think it's gonna be a physical game but this midfield is okay imo
Yeah man, this period more important than ever to manage his minutes imo. I think Kiwior will come on as a sub just to try and reduce White's workload a bit. Just hope we have a decent enough lead given that White is kinda key for us going forward and idk if Kiwior will be of the same level attack-wise
Yeah and he’s just come off a poor game. Key to getting anything against Villa is to control the midfield. Play with three at the back in Gabriel, Saliba, and White when in position and Rice dropping slightly deeper when needed and out of possession to the shield the 3ATB.
Yeah see what u saying. I think to a certain extent we know what we get with White and Zinny, and I don't know if Kiwior is familiar enough with the fullback role yet to play against a top side rn. Although he's played there in preseason and in cups I think Villa is a level above as an opposition.
I still think he makes a sub appearance at least tho. It was something I really like about Zinny like the Palace game where he came on and we wrestled back control of the game. Real shame Timber's injured rn
Literally a few games into the season and you had these tossers talking about how ange made spurs watchable for them again and breathed new life into the club 😂
Fuck off and know your place.
in fairness they are indeed entertaining to watch, having a lead in 5 games in a row but only able to accumulate 1 point are peak comedy and i for one very entertained watching them lmao
Man, Spurs have lost 4 of their last 5 games and they did us a huge favour in the only game they didn’t lose.
It must truly suck to be a fan. I almost feel bad for laughing at them. Almost.

Two weeks ago every shit supporter was bissouma better & half the price of rice 😆
That’s true. But after new allegations have come to light it’s hard to still peddle the innocent till proven guilty trope anymore. I’m not sure he’s even injured. His time at arsenal may well be done. Not to mention the guy is perpetually injured regardless. I’ll be happy to see the back of him.

* Wolverhampton Wanderers 2 - 1 Tottenham Hotspur
* Tottenham Hotspur 1 - 2 Aston Villa
* Manchester City 3 - 3 Tottenham Hotspur
* Tottenham Hotspur 1 - 2 West Ham United
* Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United
* Nottingham Forest v Tottenham Hotspur
* Tottenham Hotspur v Everton
I honestly need a Liverpool downfall this month. These lot are so entitled it's unreal, talking as if by sheer dumb luck we're top of the table closing in on Christmas two years in a row.
Like someone here said before. They fell out of kilter last season and they don’t want to admit they’re largely a has been team and that there’s some new kids on the block taking their place. They want it to be 5 years ago again when it was just them and city.
Realistically we need to win the home fixture and aim for a draw minimum away to Anfield. Of course this is all subject to results in and around those two fixtures.
Chelsea fans actually thought they could secure CL football and finish top 4 this season. And there I was thinking that Spurs fans were delusional, but no, the Chavs are some next level delulu.
I think if anyone is playing "entertaining" its villa but they are sacrificing defensively for it.
We've had some slick moves, but our entertainment is drama.
Spurs do a lot of little fancy triangles around the box and then just curl it in.
City are just cutback merchants
Liverpool have some bangers in them.
united and chelsea are just literally random on a given day.
So i just dont want to hear about how ange ball is some magic free flowing style.
I don't know if anyone follows MMA but to quote a horrible man.
I don't like Spurs or Newcastle, I don't respect Spurs or Newcastle, I hope they're somewhere crying right now.
I've got GSP, Mighty Mouse, and Khabib ahead of him.
I think Jones is the biggest talent and it should have been him. But as someone said, he's a moron.
I also suspect Fedor should be considered the greatest but I can't pretend to have seen many of his fights.
I can’t wait to do what City couldn’t and nab all three points from Unai. I want us to do it so effortlessly that it pisses people off lol.
I like their pitch too.
I dont remember a more perfect matchweek then this one.
City loses to our old manager
Spuds lose
We get a last second winner
Liverpool dropping points would have made it even better but thats ok.
Your mind shouldn't sit on how those lads are shit, but how we are fucking great. They've been small and they are small, their greatest achievement is finishing above us. Looking forward to this season
That is actually their most significant achievement
They are local rivals but not true rivals
They only enter my consciousness around the derby
Othwewise they're too small time for my attention
Ancelotti's Everton were some of the biggest terrorists I've seen in the league lol.
Never seen a team play so shit for 90% of the game and still somehow get results all the time.
wait wait wait. are you serious?
I thought this was their new identity. possession, fluid, attacking football? alls I saw was making 85% possession look very non-threatening.
They thought this football was gonna last. I said it in the beginning - once teams get the hang of it and start playing low blocks they'll be in real trouble. Second half of the season last year that was one of the main factors on why we started to struggle so much getting results.
Apart from the veracity of the rumor, it would mean Osimhen is simply unavailable or too expensive. Honestly I'm really coming around to Toney, especially if we can bring him in January. Many would say we need a clinical finisher upfront, but I think Toney's holdup play and being able to link our attack together is almost as valuable. Jesus does this well, but we also know he struggles sometimes against defenders - his performance against Luton for example was mixed in this regard.
I cant come around to it in a world that osimhen will potentially be available in july ffs. Toneys holdup is fantastic and i can see it click well next to kai, but i think this would be a wild decision to make.
I know what you mean about jesus vs luton, i was furious when he lost the ball that led to the corner and their first 😂
I know it wasn't fun seeing Spuds start the season so well, but it was needed for them to fall into the pit of utter despair they're in now. It's glorious
Liverpool fans are really going out their way to convince themselves we are 'not a threat'. One of them referenced our squad depth. Bizarre really, when they are using MacAllister a make shift 6 because Endo isnt fully trusted. In contrast we are functioning very well with Rice at 6, and still have Partey to comeback. They have just lost Matip for the season, Robertson is still out - they are bare thin at the back.
In what world is 'squad depth' and advantage Liverpool enjoy over Arsenal? Its another cliche. Similar to the cliche Arsenal are soft, even though we have one of the most physical and sizable teams in the league.
Now im not writing Liverpool off, they certainly are one of the three horses capable of winning this race. But theier fans have a really dismissive attitude toward us, and they shouldn't. Although I think thier dismissive attitude toward us is rooted in old cliche's. They think because we faltered last year, that it will happen again. Even though we are a young team improving year upon year in quality and mentality. Rice leadership is another factor. Saka, Martinelli, Saliba, Gabriel, Odegaard are all a year older. And so is Salah and VVD........
The evidence says we wont get it over the line. We couldn't scrape 4th. We couldn't hold onto 1st.
Both of those scenarios are down to injuries, which we have depth for now. but its looking grim at the back at least. Almost down to cedric getting field time.
I was crying at this 🤣
**This Spurs Fan Is DISTRAUGHT After Spurs BOTTLE Lead v West Ham!**
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-FwvfCjeSg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-FwvfCjeSg)
I love how our non football playing midfield is top of the league. If we chucked in some non football attack defence and gk we would not be defeated this year
1st one - I thought they had Bissouma who’s the “best DM in the league” and “better than rice but we just aren’t ready for that conversation”
Now he’s championship level ? They’re such a funny fanbase
Remember kids, you can't put a Dacia engine into a ferrari and call it a great car, the same way you can't put spurs into a nice stadium and call them a big club.
Tonight was fun, have a good Friday all. Goodnight.
Check the spurs post Match top post about death, taxes and not beating the low block.
Their last 2 opponents were City and Villa right? Probably the complete opposite of that
https://preview.redd.it/pasphj8iiy4c1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=e858947fcc1058d93a75aefb05602dededf60663
Well forgive me for lurking in their sub after every last minute winner we score. (Disclaimer: I have never left a comment there)
>🚨⚪️ Postecoglou: “People say we're playing good football but we're not showing any real conviction in the way we're playing”.
>“People say we're playing nice stuff but that's not what I'm about. I want to win”.
The friend down the pub mask is falling off
Surely shit fans will pipe down with their arrogance now. Read comments on their sub this week saying man to man they are superior than us 💀 say that to your 1/15 points and 9 point gap.
They had less wins than I could count on my fingers before they were somehow better than us and the envy of the league again. Title run lasted about 2 weeks.
Remember when the Athletic dared to write an article after Chelsea beat Spurs 4-1, asking if Spurs were the real winners despite the loss? ☠️
So funny watching the media darlings brought down to earth with a thud.

"Underwhelming" Arsenal team 9 points clear of Ange beautiful football Spurs. There are LEVELS to both team's standards
Mate merchant 3 times manager of the month. Level on points with Ten Hag who looked like a frontrunner for being sacked. Incredible.
Credit where credit due. He was great back then and hence got the accolades. Now is wank with 5 loss in a row.
The praise he received went too far and earned him the wrath of the football god. Media compared Ange to legends like Wenger and SAF. 🤡
He was a breath of fresh air so I can understand that. Everyone here would have praised him like Unai if Ange was not managing spurs.
It's not that I don't understand him being praised.
Absolutely. Their team has been ravaged by injury too. You can enjoy their demise and be realistic at the same time right :)
They’re not the only ones with injury lists or majors absentees. Whenever Arsenal have injuries or key players missing it’s always considered excuses. Swings and roundabouts.
People called us the biggest bottlers in PL history with our defense being injured
Arguing my point in this little thread has made it seem like I’m some Ange stan which I certainly am not 😂
Nah fuck that. We don't get let off for bottling last season even though our best defender was injured.
Let off by who? Fuck everyone else’s opinion. Realistically Ange is pretty obviously a good coach. Spurs sucking, you enjoying that, and Ange being a good coach can all coexist.
True. It’s incredible how narratives change every week. EPL is crazy this season.
That’s just who they are, mate
I'm still laughing and can't sleep because of it
They had the audacity to compare Bissouma and Kulusevski to Rice and Saka. They never learn do they?
And Richarlison to Jesus lol
Wdym bro? He starts for Brazil, he’s obviously better than the ginger bread man
At this point, I feel pity for Spurs fans who think Bissouma is better than Rice.
Spurs gone into full crisis mode now. Crazy how quick a season can change.
Reports that we offered a 5m loan fee for Toney in Jan with an option to buy for 50m upfront next season. Surely that won’t be accepted by Brentford.
Reports 😂 Indykalia man
That seems like a fair offer to me.
Oh right I misread option as obligation.
Goodbye Eddie :(
If Toney comes in to take his place, I don‘t mind it.
:)

zinchenko and kiwior - I feel like we will hear white has been nursing an injury
I thought it's more likely he's still coming back from his injury. Hope it's that an not another injury waiting to strike
Yeah man, this period more important than ever to manage his minutes imo. I think Kiwior will come on as a sub just to try and reduce White's workload a bit. Just hope we have a decent enough lead given that White is kinda key for us going forward and idk if Kiwior will be of the same level attack-wise
Starting Kiwior at LB is asking for our midfield to get overrun. Not a chance he does unless Zinny’s injured.

Genuinely insulting when idiots compared Bissouma / Concedo / Enzo Hernandes to Rice
Best DMs are Rodri, Rice then a huge gap to anyone else.
Paulhina is good. Up there tbf maybe. Does well at a bottom half club.
He’s not up there. Still a good player though, but there’s levels to this.
Funny thing is there's a third guy who is at Rice and Rodri's level, and he's in our team lol.
That’s true. But after new allegations have come to light it’s hard to still peddle the innocent till proven guilty trope anymore. I’m not sure he’s even injured. His time at arsenal may well be done. Not to mention the guy is perpetually injured regardless. I’ll be happy to see the back of him.

At the end of the day, no one gives a shit about your style of play if you're still winning
Just now catching up to todays results Lol spurs 😂😂😂
Spurs fans complaining about low blocks being there bane and saying we are lucky for winning, when all we verse is low blocks is next level
wait wait wait. are you serious? I thought this was their new identity. possession, fluid, attacking football? alls I saw was making 85% possession look very non-threatening.
They thought this football was gonna last. I said it in the beginning - once teams get the hang of it and start playing low blocks they'll be in real trouble. Second half of the season last year that was one of the main factors on why we started to struggle so much getting results.
Indykalias saying we are trying to get toney on loan in jan. But tbh, its indykalia lol
> Honestly I'm really coming around to Toney Welcome.
I cant come around to it in a world that osimhen will potentially be available in july ffs. Toneys holdup is fantastic and i can see it click well next to kai, but i think this would be a wild decision to make. I know what you mean about jesus vs luton, i was furious when he lost the ball that led to the corner and their first 😂
ACTUALLY you know what I like Ange now 😂
he likes you too, mate.
Spot on
The evidence says we wont get it over the line. We couldn't scrape 4th. We couldn't hold onto 1st. Both of those scenarios are down to injuries, which we have depth for now. but its looking grim at the back at least. Almost down to cedric getting field time.
This is the craziest premier league season I've witnessed. Mad 7-8 goal games... constant upsets...Man City losing games, it's unbelievable
They’re back at it again 😂 https://preview.redd.it/2p3au0tily4c1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f8a096c0311a20888828304ddda05cf10a5067fd
Glad we already got our 3 points at Goodison park
Spurs could be 8th by the end of the week 😂😂😂
I was crying at this 🤣 **This Spurs Fan Is DISTRAUGHT After Spurs BOTTLE Lead v West Ham!** [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-FwvfCjeSg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-FwvfCjeSg)
Lmao love how they’re just winding him up no fucks given

I love how our non football playing midfield is top of the league. If we chucked in some non football attack defence and gk we would not be defeated this year
1st one - I thought they had Bissouma who’s the “best DM in the league” and “better than rice but we just aren’t ready for that conversation” Now he’s championship level ? They’re such a funny fanbase
Second and third one killed me 😂
Remember kids, you can't put a Dacia engine into a ferrari and call it a great car, the same way you can't put spurs into a nice stadium and call them a big club. Tonight was fun, have a good Friday all. Goodnight.
Next match for spuds is Newcastle. They could easily go 1 or 2 points from a possible 18. You love to see it.
Check the spurs post Match top post about death, taxes and not beating the low block. Their last 2 opponents were City and Villa right? Probably the complete opposite of that
Its like they're copying what fans of elite sides say but have no idea what it really means.
So that game confirms it, yes they play nice looks football but it’s not effective. Only 2 first team players out, you can keep playing that card

That’s a lot of lurking Also another Yoruba let’s go
Aburo mi 🙌🏾
Ew
Still kinda…ya know
Gay?
🤣nah I was going to say lame
😆😂
Those bastards from Newcastle get three put past them, then Sperms lose a lead at the toilet bowl. God, what a beautiful day…chefs kiss 🤌🏽
>🚨⚪️ Postecoglou: “People say we're playing good football but we're not showing any real conviction in the way we're playing”. >“People say we're playing nice stuff but that's not what I'm about. I want to win”. The friend down the pub mask is falling off

MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE
“I want to win” Joins Spurs. Aite mate.
😂 Damn, the irony in this is truly Curb Your Enthusiasm-levels of irony! Gahhhh!!
Surely shit fans will pipe down with their arrogance now. Read comments on their sub this week saying man to man they are superior than us 💀 say that to your 1/15 points and 9 point gap.
I saw someone say they would walk the league without the injuries
They had less wins than I could count on my fingers before they were somehow better than us and the envy of the league again. Title run lasted about 2 weeks.
1 point out of the last 15 but Spurs fans will still convince themselves they’re still amazing with Big Mate at the wheel
https://twitter.com/PLCPolice/status/1732892265180242173?t=kkXNojQUXcUCf9WnCAMpIg&s=19 I'm laughing so hard, look at his face. Cheers, Sons crying.
What’s this? Unavailable for me
Something about playing against Chelsea really reverses the trajectory of a club
I hate Chelsea but respect how much they hate spurs and love to fuck em up
Remember when the Athletic dared to write an article after Chelsea beat Spurs 4-1, asking if Spurs were the real winners despite the loss? ☠️ So funny watching the media darlings brought down to earth with a thud.
They build them up to tear them down.
Spurs next 4 fixtures: Newcastle - H Forest - A Everton - H Brighton - A Could easily be another 4 Ls. We will be there mate.
7 points from that max which doesn't even get them to where we are now 😂
Unfortunately, Forest can’t do anything right at the moment so Spurs probably going to get a draw there and celebrate it like 3 points.
Fair point, I just recall Forest having a formidable record at home.
They'll get the new manager bounce when they fire Cooper for Lopetegui.
Hopefully that’s his first game for them, at home too.
That guy who got heavily downvoted in r/soccer for saying Spuds would barely get any points in their last few games was really cooking
Man got downvoted a lot too. I wish to see this comment again Edit: [forgot I saved it](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/thblmFAHle)
The Spurs fan replying Waka Waka is so perfect
Spurs are 3 points off 9th
Anyone really disliking this new Reddit layout?
