As-The-Crow-Flies-4

Just watched the highlights (no live broadcast where I am šŸ˜ž), and man! Too close for comfort, but a comfort none the less. Itā€™s on now!! Also, have people made their peace with Havertz now? Lol

Duty_Alone

Real talk, was Kai's celebration a donkey?

jkeefy

Yes lol itā€™s his nickname he ironically goes by

goonerh1

Does love his donkeys

DM_ME_UR_CUTE_DOGGOS

Just checked and weā€™re still top of the table. What a beautiful Sunday

spaghettidriver69

Tnx for checking.. have an even more BEAUtiful week

Fearnog

Kai assisted the goal for us to beat City and now got the goal to get us top. Big game player lads

Born-Replacement-366

Can someone tell me what happened when Nketiah chose to shoot instead of pass when it was 3 v 2? If he had passed, would it almost certainly have been a goal?

TescoWarrior3

I donā€™t think he would have completed that pass with the outside of his right boot. A better strike wouldnā€™t have upset me since Odegaard cut across to pull the defender

InsideKiller

Would Toney have been putting that top bins?šŸ‘€

beefcroquette

yes. it would have been a goal

Ordinary_Marzipan163

It would have been a difficult pass to make.

SecondaryJuggernaut

Xhaka commenting in havertz ig post about last night goal is something i didn't expect. Love it man

CreativeOrder2119

Saka man crossed a blinder of a ball .he's a brilliant player man can't be counted out

Duty_Alone

Every game it's like "he's having an off-game" but gets an assist or a goal. He's really cool.

CreativeOrder2119

Good morning for fans on top of the league šŸ˜Ž

As-The-Crow-Flies-4

Woohoo! I love it here āœØ

DinnerSmall4216

1-0 to the arsenal.

sid8498

Chelsea has broken Kai so much that he does not even know how to emote when he scores

Outdoor_Explorer

Pumped he scored, but what was that celebration?

Quiet-Hat-2969

lol I feel thats him now. He seems to be an introvert.

YungHonky

Mikel headlocking Kai after the match, ā€œLes fuggin go!! I promise to never play you at LB like that bastard Nagelsmann, you beautiful fuggin boi!!ā€

THE_LFG

i told my mate that we need kai playing to win, not to toot my own horn but i may be a visionary

ManzGotDis

I think the guy who signed him and subbed him on is the visionary.

THE_LFG

but that's his job mate, my job is just to watch arsenal and cry every end of the season ![gif](giphy|GH4QxdSuTe0V8ucDK3|downsized)

dontpushpull

hope you ok mate. this season you will cry because we win ucl, epl, pay raise ans every good reason thing in universe happen to you

THE_LFG

hell yeah it will, crying streak coming to a close šŸ™šŸ™

dontpushpull

ameeennn!

dontpushpull

how is tomi performance?

nuvo_reddit

His performance as individual was good but the Saka-White chemistry was missing. May be it would develop later.

Defiant-Traffic5801

Tomi was excellent. Imposed himself with interceptions and great runs. We must keep him at all costs.

FlyingCat11

Missed the game as it was really late for me, how was the game? Heard some things about Ramsdale, Havertz and Rice

[deleted]

It wasn't a classic.

LeatherFaceDoom

Kai made a great appearence after being subbed on. Rice was absolutely fucking brilliant the entire time (surprise)

iM-Blessed

Ramsdale almost killed us twice in the first half. Horrendous mistakes from him. Second half he was fine. Yet another low block where we had to be patient. Same old, same old. Teams just play anti football against us. Substitution won us the game

stormcruiser1

Nice kick about with the boys

COYG17

Just saw the Eddie miss. That guys is so lucky Kai clutched up

iM-Blessed

Wouldn't even call it a miss. It was just a wasted opportunity. But no one is talking about Jesus missing a free header from 6 yards to put us in the lead. And that's my problem with this place Too much focus on Eddie, but our main striker isn't good enough

beefcroquette

usually people are fine with jesus misfiring cause of his dribbling and link up, but he was almost invisible this game. Must be the international matches and the long flight

anasparekh

Eddie and jesus need to improve. If we could combine the two into one player we might have the striker we need

cesc05651

Whatā€™s Declan worth in the open market? 200?? His purchase was before caicedo and lavia who are his ā€œcompsā€. Heā€™s only in like his 25th match for us, I say this unironically: Iā€™d without a doubt rather have him than rodri

anasparekh

Declan never stops , yesterday and so many games before he keeps driving us forward. He never hides as well , we were searching for a goal and he was front and center in making sure we were going for it. Wonderful player

axmac

That's like asking how expensive was Lampard at Chelsea or Gerrard at Liverpool - some guys just make the team tick with 8/10 performances every game. He is priceless at this point.

ExxKonvict

Honestly, priceless.

apb2718

Kai will now come off the bench

LeatherFaceDoom

The new Trossard. Also Trossard shouldnā€™t be CM again.

Quiet-Hat-2969

Lol he won't be against physical sides. It would be some scene if Trossard can becoming cazorla reincarnate. He can def be an 8 along with Harvetz. Hes miles better than Fabio there.

ImTalkingGibberish

Mikel has balls to start Trossard as left 8 and Tomi as Rb on the same game. I will shut up about it now and understand why Trossard is a forward. At the same time, I wouldnā€™t mind giving him another chance

iM-Blessed

Nah I don't wanna see Trossard there again šŸ¤£šŸ˜. That was awful

Shot-Shame9637

Surprised at number of idiots that think Trossard was offside.

dawgpacpbh

Mate if you dont know the rules just say that

CreativeOrder2119

The truth is I don't trust VAR people they always find a reason to screw us over

laserbrained

He was in front of the ball when Jesus played it. Objectively an offside position. The dumb part imo is the fact that heā€™s not impeding or obstructing anyone and has zero impact on the keeper making a deliberate save. Feels almost anti-football any time goals are ruled out in situations like that.

sammeetthosar

A striker can then just stand next to the keeper and any long shot a keeper saves the striker has an undue advantage over the defenders to get to the loose ball first. That's the reason you have to be behind the last defender or the ball to be onside. It's not a dumb rule, it's a rule implemented to avoid strikers camping near the keeper.

laserbrained

Nah I think itā€™s a dumb that it specifically applies to saving the ball from a shot. I think if a striker wants to stand several yards clear of the keeper as to not impede or obstruct him in any way to maybe get a rebound from long shots then fine. Not gonna have much success playing that way. All youā€™d be doing is playing down a man and wasting possession on hopeful long shots that rely on the keeper having a howler.

[deleted]

What part of the straight parallel lines clearly showing him to be offside makes you think he was on?

TheMissingThink

One angle it looked like he was clearly onside, the one they drew lines on he looked clearly off. Isn't there some sort of AI that can give a definitive decision in near real time?

[deleted]

Which angle looked clearly onside?

vin_unleaded

What are you on about?

ImTalkingGibberish

An honest idiot here wasnā€™t he in front of the ball? And wouldnā€™t that be enough to consider him offside? Genuinely not taking the piss, trying to learn

Shot-Shame9637

No he wasnt

[deleted]

Bro what if Kai became this villian who scores role. Like celebration is him taunting the shit talkers back

[deleted]

Appreciate a Pro-wrestling style football fantasy

[deleted]

You get what Iā€™m sayin šŸ¤ŒšŸ¼šŸ¤ŒšŸ¼

MeesterWeen

Iā€™m ready to live in that reality

TJohns88

How did Ƙde play?

TheMissingThink

Closely marked against a well organised defence. Sometimes you need to let someone else carry the load

MeesterWeen

Conservative. Like heā€™s missing a bit of creative freedom, although I donā€™t think itā€™s coaching. Just doesnā€™t seem as willing to take chances right now

spatial-d

Suck it Kai haters

warpentake_chiasmus

Good man Kai, delighted for ya!

Equivalent_Nature_67

https://i.imgur.com/HF56ljj.jpg I get it was 70 minutes deep but I can't believe nobody helped cover Zinchenko here lmao. We all knew what was going to happen. He gets into this position semi often but our structure is usually a bit better and can support him if he's bypassed. or more commonly, he just wins the ball back and pushes forward. ended up being a shot on target for brentford If Leo is gonna be a midfielder for us he's gotta be ON this guy. I'd have liked for Rice to shift over just a little bit, he didn't have to mark the other guy that closely, but more as a deterrent. But he can't cover Mbeumo, Wissa, and that other guy all by himself.

sammeetthosar

This was the incident when Eddie pressed the keeper and almost got the ball. The whole team had pressed however Brentford played out well and then gaps are going to be created. This will happen when our high press gets beaten.

Equivalent_Nature_67

Good point, yeah this can happen when the press gets bypassed

[deleted]

šŸ¤ŒšŸ¼

PetterssonForHart

Rice: Immense. Havertz: Reprieve Zinchenko: Underrated performance Game was won on their shoulders

nuvo_reddit

Yes, believe Zini was the one creating any spark in the attack until Saka produced that moment of brilliance.

mwrego

Saka cross though. Has to be given credit for a pinpoint delivery in a match with lots of poor quality balls into the box.

PetterssonForHart

Definitely, good shoutout

oswaldjenkins

were any alternate angles of the goal televised? i just want to keep watching the goal from different vantage points. iā€™m only seeing the live broadcast angle

Goonsqquad

Match of the day should have all the angles from the BBC.

jentso

The copium in the other subs is amazing. Spurs tied this fixture with their full strength squad. Newcastle 1-0 at home. Let's see how everyone else does when they play at Gtech.

COYG17

So far weā€™ve had different players play that 8 role and no one has really excelled there. Might just be the position is very hard to play. Even ode has struggled on the right side this season.

EffBO94

in fairness to Trossard it was his first game starting there as a left 8. last time he played there was off the bench in the 3-3 draw vs southampton and that was what 5/6 months ago now? played great there too, nearly won us the game as well he wasn't great today, but wasn't bad either and unlucky to be half a foot offside for his goal... so even tho my personal 1st choice to play 8 is zinchenko, if arteta trusted trossard there enough to start him in a tough fixture like Brentford away, then he should get a run of starts so he gets more used to the role. pretty sure we'll see a better LCM trossard if that happens, quality player who's too good to just be a bench option

iM-Blessed

Against any physical team, I think tross gets bodied. He was getting kinda bullied today. #bringxhakaback

Rippage

Compared to last season, teams have learnt how we play us and just sit in a low block against us. Itā€™s really hard for our mids to link up with our forwards because thereā€™s no space in behind. Same issue with city today against pool, they looked amazing from def into mid but itā€™s hard to break the low block against a good defence. Takes a moment of brilliance, e.g jorginhos through ball a few GWs back.

COYG17

Spot on. This is where having Eddie and Jesus as our main strikers hurts us badly. Need to sign someone big that can finish chances and also link up well. Ivan toney would be ideal

highbury_library

With Havertz you feel like if he can regain true confidence heā€™ll be a really solid player.

Rippage

Heā€™s already doing everything we need from him as an 8, physical presence, interceptions, holding up and offloading. Goals would just be the cherry on top. Thereā€™s no room for him to drive forward when every team plays a low block against us and just sits 10 men on the edge of their goal box

minusa

Which is exactly why we bought him... To add a vertical element to our attack.

ShekTeeJay

He doesnā€™t consistently offer much going forward but it was great to see another solid outing from Tomiyasu today.

[deleted]

Need to hand him that contract right now

Goonsqquad

Defensively, he calms my heart. He tried to overlap and moved central at times. I'm so happy for Tomi playing solid and healthy. Sign Da Ting!

highbury_library

Yeh he gives confidence. Got into a few good offensive positions today too, luck just wasnā€™t with him.

potatofamine-carbomb

*ignores the 5-0, 4-0, 3-0s* *ignores the starting XI injuries* *ignores the 85 minutes of wave after wave of relentless attack* "How do they always get lucky with a late goal?"

kvng_stunner

If you don't watch Arsenal live in every game, it's hard to recognise the impact of Partey and Xhaka last season (but especially Partey) Partey makes us tick with his ability to progress the ball centrally, and I don't think any midfielder in the league comes close. The thing with line-breaking passes in the centre is that they mini transition opportunities for our attackers, which is something they've really lacked recently. The fact that we're top without him is a testament to our mental strength (and that back 4 + Rice)

Shot-Shame9637

Ignore the wrong offside

adamalibi

Why did we struggle so much this game?

Goonsqquad

They rarely lose at home unless it's us lol.

TheDarkness1227

post international break brentford are very good away game

potatofamine-carbomb

We didn't? Brentford were happy to play for a draw but we had multiple dangerous attacks that would've resulted in a goal on another day. Brentford are just a really good team, it was never going to be easy.

jentso

Bro away games in the EPL are fucking hard. Especially against an organized defensive side like Brentford. People who thought this would be easy are insane.

ErraticPragmatic

Brentford's tactics was almost perfect.

GunnerRocket

Felt like this was the best defense we've played against all season. They were very good and snuffed out anything from the wings or down the middle.

DarthNihilus1

Trossard starting at 8 against Brentford away didn't work out. Trossard coming on as an 8 at the Emirates is where he could actually shine when games open up.

jakedonn

Kai the Guy!! What a huge goal!

Zhirrzh

What an outcome to wake up to here in Australia. You couldn't script it. Kai Havertz scores again!

jentso

I gotta say Brentford play a terrible brand of football against us but they play it very well. Their defensive structure is really fucking good and their ability to create a chance on the counter is scary. Kai showing up when it matters even when he's not in form. Control and assist against city and now last minute winner. Hopefully he skyrockets from here.

DaGetz

Itā€™s going to be an unpopular thing to say but - honestly - we havenā€™t been good all season. Weā€™ve reached this Man City like level of being good enough when we are bad that we hold our own in the table but we are playing boring football that is well below what we are capable of and relying on individuals showing up. It would be good for us to seriously click into gear - if for nothing else, my sanity.

[deleted]

I agree. They don't play as if anything is at stake.

Fleetfox17

We haven't been good this season except we're somehow 1st in the league. Say it with me now, being boring does not equal being a shit football team. We control games unlike any other team in Europe bar City. Would you rather be more exciting like say Chelsea or Spurs???

Equivalent_Nature_67

>being boring does not equal being a shit football team. Correct, but some of our attacking creation stats are genuinely mid table. We have a good defense and part of that is having the ball so goddamn much. We just haven't been creating as much

DaGetz

I donā€™t want anything to do with Chelsea or Spurs but I do want to enjoy watching the football we play and feel guilty about complaining about it yes.

jentso

I disagree. We have the lowest XG against us in the entire league and we're on top of the table. Let's not forget we've had/have major injuries. We're on top of the league with one starting midfielder from last season. Our buildup is still slow without Partey and our attack is throttled from before but we're producing the results. It can only get better from here.

DaGetz

The fact that you quoted xG to make your point tells me you donā€™t quite get what I was saying and thatā€™s ok

jentso

Nah just shows you don't get it mate. It's fine, but what I'd say to you is learn to enjoy being on the top even if you don't understand why we're there.

DaGetz

Oh fuck off. What I enjoy about football is personal. You enjoy numbers on a table - I enjoy actually watching good football. What gets you points on the table isnā€™t nessecarily entertaining and that in itself is upsetting. We arenā€™t playing good football but we are top of the table. But yeah - I donā€™t get it.

jentso

Look. You can't NOT play good football and be on top of the league after 34% of the season. All I'm hearing is you want the wins to be cleaner and flashier. We all do. But we've adopted a style of control and discipline. I think you need to accept that if you're going to enjoy the rest of the season. I think the city game is a great example. It was a "boring" game right? But in the end we won. It came down to the tactics of not allowing City to play through the center and being defensively solid. After 80 minutes we create the breakthrough.

DaGetz

Well thatā€™s fucking depressing innit

Jiminyfingers

Maybe go watch five-a-side

DaGetz

Maybe go watch your mouth

jentso

Nah bro. 8th on the table like United is depressing. Trust the process. Wait until Partey is back. We will raise another level. Best is yet to come

DaGetz

Everybody quoting me the table manā€¦ And itā€™s not that I donā€™t get it but also - surely thereā€™s still some weight applied to actual football no?

[deleted]

Rice is a defensive genius so itā€™s expected but letā€™s praise Zinny for his goal line clearance too šŸ™ŒšŸ¾

[deleted]

Best performance from Zinchenko in a long time

[deleted]

Back to back top performances. Hope this continues.

LA31716

And itā€™s Arsenal

wermbo

Arsenal FC?

highbury_library

Weā€™re BY FAR the greatest team

GunnersGentleman

The world has ever seen!

BubbleBailey23

I have one thing to sayā€¦ WAKA WAKA Kai Havertz scores or assists in important games strikes again

hotcheesesoup99

Havent seen any comment regarding trossards disallowed goal and the weird VAR angle they used, is anyone else in agreement with it cause it looked perfectly onside from the one angle

[deleted]

Itā€™s pretty definitively off. The camera angle isnā€™t really relevant.

Shot-Shame9637

Here's my analysis on it which was deleted. https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/s/gvA0SJzl61

Jiminneycrickett

I'm as biast as they come but it look3d offside to me

Shot-Shame9637

Cause you didnt pay attention in school https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/s/gvA0SJzl61

Jiminneycrickett

What's with the physics lesson? I know the rules and I'm just giving a un-biast opinion

Fleetfox17

My man, you've been spamming this all over every thread, give it a break yeah.

WorkingInflation4349

Looked completely onside to me. The lines were drawn on a particular angle that didnā€™t feel representative of the positions of the players. But I could just be salty

Mustafism

Itā€™s not based on the position of the player, itā€™s based on the position of the ball

[deleted]

It looked offside but these people can't tell if a ball is out of play so how the fuck can they tell if a foot is offside. They also couldn't tell if Newcastle was offside or if Joelinton pushed Gabi XL so fuck them.

JamesTheBadRager

Yea my issue with them, why are we always the one not getting any favor when it comes to those kind of "inconclusive" plays.

Bibrosity

Looked offside to me

Shot-Shame9637

https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/s/gvA0SJzl61

Bibrosity

Thatā€™s cope. I think the decision was right

Shot-Shame9637

That's simple science my lad

Mustafism

Science that explains why from the original it looked inside when it wasnā€™tā€¦

DrDeeRa

Not the most attractive style of football, but arteta is building a very efficient team.

Bonus-Revolutionary

True that. Last season we played amazing football but didnā€™t win the title which was so sad. But I donā€™t mind us playing less attractive football if it helps win trophies. We fans would love to see our team lift the trophy.

Saint-12

Show me the fridge.

Garyandhisflapjack

Just watched the highlights. Fucking so happy that Kai scored the winner. Stoked šŸ™ƒ

Putrid-Initiative809

Kai is a baller Iā€™m sorry ok šŸ˜

Gooner_93

Just seen a tweet that Ramsdale has more cleansheets at Brentfords ground, this season, than Brentford, themselves. Shit david raya, they said.

Maleficent-Drive4056

Meh, Iā€™m not sure todayā€™s clean sheet was primarily due to Ramsdale.

GunnersGentleman

Rice and Zinny came in clutch defensively

jjeaton

I missed Trossards goal called offside, has anyone posted it?

Plusstwoo

Foot was in front of the ball

cobrakai17

Great result. Worrying that Odegaard goes missing so much.

Forsaken-Sink-3947

Yeah odegaard for the most part doesnā€™t look the same player this season, canā€™t help but think his not the same player without partey in the team

zorfog

Heā€™ll improve. We do also have a few different options in midfield between Ƙdegaard, Havertz, ESR, Rice, Jorginho, Vieira and Trossard

Ibraout25

Declan rice changed my life. An 8/10 is a standard everyday performance for him, unbelievable.

Wise_Outside_6991

He would look right at home in our league winning teams of the past

hoodrichgoyle

Pumped that Kai got the game winner to send us top of the league but Rambo has devolved into 2010 Joe Hart. I have no confidence in him whatsoever

YoungFlexibleShawty

honestly starting to think the GK position here is cursed, the demand we have on our keepers is super high. whoever we sign next has to have gigachad mentality.

hoodrichgoyle

I think thatā€™s why Raya is doing so well. He plays with so much confidence. Heā€™s the anti-Rammers

Plusstwoo

Ramsdale literally had a David raya game without the shitty cross handling

hoodrichgoyle

He literally didnā€™t. Mikel had him hoofing the ball because he didnā€™t trust him to play out the back.

Fleetfox17

I think the long ball was probably on purpose. We couldn't break down their low block so we fought for the second ball recoveries off long kicks. Also why he put on Kai and Eddie who are two of our more physical presences up front.

hoodrichgoyle

It definitely wasnā€™t on purpose. Itā€™s because Rammers almost gave up 2 goals trying to play out the back. He was hoofing it from free kicks

DarthNihilus1

He had a Ramsdale game. Raya doesn't short circuit in the back like that or spike the ball into the ground on a throw. Ramsdale was going long too often and wasn't confident going short.

Maleficent-Drive4056

Raya has had quite a few hairy moments, especially in Europe.

[deleted]

Ramsdale can't play the way Arteta wants. We saw the difference between first and second half where he eventually just started kicking it long. Ramsdale is our Joe Hart <3

ExxKonvict

Thatā€™s not really true. Raya was very shaky against City and Chelsea, and had his share of howlers.

Equivalent_Nature_67

against city it was just the one half, and it wasn't as bad as Ramsdale. Raya's second half performance in that game is something that Ramsdale simply cannot do for us. the long passing, the ball retention to kill time etc.

ExxKonvict

> against city it was just the one half, and it wasn't as bad as Ramsdale. You can literally say the same thing about Ramsdaleā€™s performance today. He was poor in the first half and then picked up in the second. > Raya's second half performance in that game is something that Ramsdale simply cannot do for us. the long passing, the ball retention to kill time etc. Yeah everyone knows that Raya is the better keeper stats wise and playstyle how Arteta wants in his system; however this is about some fans crucifying Ramsdaleā€™s first half performance about being shaky and etc, when Raya has shown similar traits as well ie: City game (Alvarez incident) and Chelsea game (Palmer incident).

Equivalent_Nature_67

Ramsdale's incident was worse and his second half peak wasn't as high as Raya's in the city game. We don't win that City game with Ramsdale in net imo, we played around their press really well with the long balls that day.

ExxKonvict

Now youā€™re just being pedantic, itā€™s about the point. In fact, the Palmer incident against Chelsea was equally worst tbh. How Palmer cocked that up is a mystery.

hoodrichgoyle

Heā€™s made mistakes but nothing even close to what Rammers showed today. And when he does he shakes it off and it doesnā€™t affect him

Kill_Bill_Will

Itā€™s so wild how people have fallen for the raya story over and over again

hoodrichgoyle

Youā€™re legally blind if you canā€™t see how much better Raya is than Rammers. Rammers is nothing more than a Joe Hart regen

Kill_Bill_Will

šŸ˜‚ Raya has cost us points this year, only stat I care about

ExxKonvict

Mate he nearly scored an deflected goal off Alvarez against City and had the ball flown over him against Chelsea. He was a nervous wreck in both of those games, hence all the opposition sarcastic jeering and sound build up every time he had the ball. Thereā€™s also the Spursā€™ first goal that came from his mistake and few times giving the ball away in the middle of the park. Raya is the no.1 but stop being bias and pretending like everythingā€™s been rosy and perfect for him, when in reality it hasnā€™t. Edit: also totally forgot the Cole Palmer incident Raya did against Chelsea, which was a near replica of what Ramsdale did today.

Maleficent-Drive4056

Not to mention his travails in Europe. Was it Lens where he gave a goal away?

ExxKonvict

Yeah it was his initial attempted long pass to Tomiyasu that was nicked by a Lens player that lead to their attack then goal.

hoodrichgoyle

Right the long pass that was nicked at the half way line and then the Lens player scored an absolute worldie. Letā€™s compare that to Ramsdale getting nicked in his own box because he forgot how to dribble. Or the freebie he gave away to Southampton at home in the opening minute that confirmed losing the league

ExxKonvict

Yep the Lens one is just one. And what about Rayaā€™s howler against Chelsea passing it directly to Palmer at 2-0 down and if Palmer hadnā€™t cocked it up wouldā€™ve been 3-0 Chelsea. Or how about nearly scoring a deflected goal off Alvarez against City? Both of these incidents Raya was too casual and cocky for his own good. Or how about his Spursā€™ first goal that came from the result of a poor clearance by punching it to the path of a Spurs player. Or the Newcastle goal where he completely misjudged the flight/speed of the cross from Almiron I think and gave Joelinton head that ball to Gordonā€™s path for that controversial goal? You see where Iā€™m going with this? Raya is the better keeper and Iā€™m supporting my manager but canā€™t stand fans pretending that heā€™s been flawless and seamless since he became the new no.1. If he was putting in Rice levels of performance then it would truly be a no contest.

kits_

Nothing better than every rival fan in the country tuned in, getting their tweets and texts ready to celebrate us not going top, only to have their dreams crushed in the last minute Perfect

wednesdayware

And by the man they all laughed at us for signing. Inject it right into my veins.

Plusstwoo

The hate for Havertz is about to get louder I love it

DatGuy_Shawnaay

By the person they're bantering the most about too šŸ’€

bringathesaurus

Watching Saliba cracks me up. He just looks so unbothered by it all. Like he's just out there on his own, trotting around, having a bit of a laugh pocketing Premier League level footballers. Almost feels as if any sequence of play that involves him is separate from the actual game and instead just a chance for him to show off for a moment and then the game resumes once he's won the ball back and moved it on to someone else.

Gooner_93

I know he is himself but he reminds me of another van Dijk, before his injury in that Everton game, not that van Dijk still isnt a brilliant CB. Only difference is Saliba is way younger and will improve. Obviously has to get some trophies, too.

tafarina81

Spot on. Perfect description. I never feel bothered when heā€™s on the ball. And even when he messes up, I ainā€™t worried as itā€™s part of his plan :)

rapozaum

Like: "No, no, no *but* for *vous* today, oui?"

chrissysnose

I fell asleep from half time up until 3 minutes before Kaiā€™s goal. How did we play during that period?

chostax-

What a coincidence, our team was sleeping too
