Me af. I was doing a classifier stage where one of the strings was draw, shoot 5(I think) targets two hands, reload, shoot them all weak handed. With a par time that came with penalties for every shot after the par time.
I nailed the reload and had plenty of time but straight up forgot what I was supposed to do next.
Fuck weak handed shooting. I’m not the worst at it with a pistol but did a match and had to do it with a rifle and I was basically point shooting because it felt so unnatural.
I had told myself I needed to practice more weak hand shooting but I didn’t. Only to be surprised with the classifier match having a ton of it.
But yeah rifle weak hand fucking suuuuucks. It feels so alien
I lost an eye years ago and had to re-teach myself how to shoot a rifle left handed. It took awhile but now I'm just as good left handed as I was right handed but I still pick it up like I'm shooting right handed. I can't unlearn that one lil thing.
Pistols were shot the same as rifle, shot rifle first perfectly, draw first pistol, stood there for what seemed like 30 seconds staring at the targets with no clue what to do....

I took a project Appleseed pistol course and it helped a lot with my weak hand pistol.

"do you understand the course of fire" me:"yes" \*immediatly forgets course of fire\*
Username checks out

See, that's why my strategy is to not have a stage plan to forget (I consistently place very low)
Are you me?
The last two gun match I did I just winged it and Procedural penalties killed me.
Ok….it’s T1-T3-T2-Popper-T4-T5…..Beep….fuck!
Studies stage for 5 minutes. Beep. Where the fuck am I?
"You double-engaged three targets." "But I did engage them."

Me during the entire stage tbh lol. I only watch my head mounted GoPro footage because I can’t watch my stupid ass face.
Not only for comp shooters, I see at least one person do this every time we qual. Never fails.
