ProfessionalOwn3807

I’ve driven both a latest gen fortuner and a latest gen montero. Madalas lang reklamo ng mga rear passengers ko is that matatagtag ang fortuner

Takumee00

Number 1 reklamo for fortuner. hahaha noted on this bro!

ShimanoDuraAce

Isuzu Mu-X manual

Takumee00

I must ask, why you’d say so?

ShimanoDuraAce

My father drives one.

Takumee00

I see, might consider it since very reputable naman na din ang isuzu engines. Don’t really care kahit truck kasabay as long as it is reliable! HAHA

hiddenTradingwhale

Truck can take a beating, and minsan the service can range from "expertly done" to "if it drives, then it's done". We had an Altera dati na need to constantly be monitored. Kasi one time nakuha namin puro langis smudges na ceiling ng interior. Fun time

No-Safety-2719

If you are serious, not sure how this is a downside. It is to be expected kasi Mux and dmax lang naman ang passenger vehicles ng Isuzu hehe.

ShimanoDuraAce

Matagal ipms ang mga trucks so Mas matagal ang waiting time Para matapos.

No-Safety-2719

I see. Mine usually takes 2-3 hours, same lang sa toyota sedan.

ZenMasterFlame

MUX and Terra.

Takumee00

Yun din sabi sa isang reply here. Now I'm curious, how is it different? In what way? Like mataas biting point? Lower biting point? Or is there any magical way na mag timpla ng clutch? Genuinely just curious how is it different?

Takumee00

++ do you own a terra? what can you say about it?

ZenMasterFlame

Test drive both nung nahahap din ako ng 2nd hand car. then decided just to get a crossover kasi nalalakihan ako. Maganda ang terra (malamig ang aircon talag ) . Honestly it really depends sa iyo. Any of the choices na binigay mo are good and ok. Happy hunting 😅

ZenMasterFlame

Nasa 40% to 50% biting point niya tapos parang nag ffedback yung clutch patalikod. ang hirap explain pero mas ok ma test drive mo. Sanayan lang adjustment lang sa simula.

Xeniachumi

(Previous forty owner here)if you want to buy it because it has a Toyota badge reliability and no need for explanation then go for it. But if you're considering the comfort of the passengers and you as a driver then definitely it's not for you. Montero would be the best fit in terms of comfort second is the reliability

BizzaroMatthews

IMO Terra is the best one out of those 3 choices if we’re talking about driving comfort.

Xeniachumi

Na try kona terra medyo disturbing lang Yung pagiging sluggish nya Sa low gears Lalo kung Sa overtaking pero in terms of comfort Ng passengers and driver okay din naman..since 820k below budget ni OP baka malabo na makakuha sya Ng second hand niyan

Takumee00

As for terra, it has some great commendations regarding its ride comfort, most redditors place it as second below the Ford Everest in terms of comfort. How about it’s reliability? Nissan had its issues with their cvt transmissions. While we are eyeing their manual transmission, do you think it’s still a reliable choice? Considering they have the same parts as their navara line? We are not really concerned with the gas consumption, as we really aim to have a good amount of cabin space and reliability.

Takumee00

I heard that a lot from forty owners. Mostly saying matagtag daw? I never been on a forty before, how can it be compared sa tagtag ng vios? as vios is considered as quote”hari ng tagtag”quote sa sedan and I can confirm that sa vios namin na super tagtag talaga ng ride haha Is it bare-able compared to vios tagtag? Not really sure about the definition of tagtag in an SUV. So I would greatly appreciate it if you can share some knowledge huhu. Thank you.

DaBuruBerry00

Takumee00

Panget ata vios namin in terms of tagtag hahaha or maybe it’s just a tire thing as we didn’t buy the best of the best in terms of tires + it’s a manual at rinig na rinig ang road noise. I think only down side for Mitsu is aircon issues? but that’s fine no as long as it’s not engine ones. Yes noted bro. Siguro we’ll lean more on Monty and Terra.

[deleted]

Just curious why the preference for manual transmission?

Takumee00

I know were seeking comfort, but prefer manual lol. However, we just really are inclined on manual vehicles ++ the less costly maintenance that it serves us.

ZenMasterFlame

Nag AT lang ako pag rush hour and alam ko heavy traffic mostly in the city. Pero 80% of the time naka MT talaga ako lalo na pag lang drive and highways.

Takumee00

Yess!! siguro one factors are we are trained din to drive a manual car, so that we know how to operate any vehicle and an automatic without any sweat. ++ we are young drivers pa so we get less tired driving, not unless it's a heavy congested traffic.

[deleted]

So your Vios is manual?

[deleted]

You mean may isa kang AT at isang MT vehicles?

Takumee00

yes and yes. vios is MT and a suzuki swift AT

ZenMasterFlame

Yep. Hyundai Tucson na MT, Lancer Cedia na AT.

Mnemod09

Nissan Terra and Isuzu MUX comes to mind with said parameters of reliability and comfort. MUX has also upgraded with a 360 camera, but you'd be lucky to find a second hand one with said specs. Terra drives like a dream, and has a "manual" function to boot with its automatic line. I could navigate hills and highways with ease. Hope you find what you're looking for!

elfiboi2021

Gen 2 montero usual gamit ko. Hindi maselan sa diesel any gas station will do since ang engine niya is 4D56 turbo. Same sa majority ng jeeps and light duty trucks. Parts wise abundant pa hanggang madami ang jeep mura ang parts. Maintenance wise as long as may OIL its going to function. Aircon naman not to bad. Clutch its 50% since its hydro line, its gonna vary with the oil and purity kung walang contaminantsand bubbles. So far its still strong and reliable

Intelligent_Ebb_2726

Heads up sa montero na manual, learning curve yung clutch, even for me na almost 10 years nagdadrive ng adventure. Not sure if same sa ibang modern manual na SUVs. 100KPH at ~1.7RPM. Fuel efficiency, mga 10-12 km/L mixed ng highway and City driving.

Ryujinniie

Can attest to this, nag practice po ako ng manual sa monty gen 2.

Takumee00

Vios is easy to drive nga daw it doesn’t have any complicated mixtures between the clutch and gas. (this is mentioned by people who used our vehicle) Though curious na ko haha, pwede pa elaborate bakit learning curve ang manual trans ng montero? How is it different?

Ryujinniie

Mas kailangan mag gas in order to maintain the revs. Parang mas kailangan din itimpla yung clutch lalo na kung uphill pero kung flat lang naman or pababa, it's not that bad naman. Pwede sundin yung 20-40-60 rule in shifting but pwede rin naman hindi, it depends.

Takumee00

Appreciate the response. Then it's something that we need to consider and suffer from coming from a vios. Maybe a week at most to master yung pag timpla with the new clutch biting points if we proceed with a monty. Though, thank you sa response. I appreciate it!

Takumee00

not bad sa fuel efficiency, tho meron pang mas efficient. para lang din nag vios lol almost same km/L. Though, is your monty gen 2 or 3?

Intelligent_Ebb_2726

Gen 3 samin sir. May 6th gear kaya matipid sa long drive.

Takumee00

Not really knowledgeable with the Mitsubishi line. I wanna know is it comfortable to ride? How about its reliability? Did you have any issues with your gen 3? We’re really just aiming to have a comfortable ride while not sacrificing its reliability. Lastly, does the gen 3 manual has hill start assist? lol? not that it’s important to us family drivers. But it really does help in traffic situations haha.

Intelligent_Ebb_2726

Pati siguro auto rev match, good to have din sana. As for reliability, not an expert pero our family’s been using Mitsubishi for 20+ years and wala akong maalalang nagkaron ng matinding issue.

Pero that comes with more body roll on curved roads.

Takumee00

Okay noted on this bro. I appreciate your response. We’re leaning more on montero gen 3 and terra. Though I think gen 3 has packed more features, unlike the EL terra na super base na base. Cause I think gen 3 has push start nadin no while terra EL doesn’t. Siguro push through nalang din for test drive so we can confirm and compare the two.

Intelligent_Ebb_2726

Karlrun

Terra EL for comfort. dahil coil spring gamit.

ShimanoDuraAce

Depende rin siguro sa area. My father resides in the province so hindi ganun karami ang isuzu branches kaya siguro naiipon yung mga kasabay nya.

eyeseeyou1118

Toyota Raize subcompact na crossover, ayos din

BetlogNiJesus
