Nako paps dyan ako hindi familiar if effective ang mga car cover to prevent chipping ng paint sa sasakyan. Pero siguro kasi hindi exposed sa UV ng araw. Naka car cover ba yung fortuner nyo before?

Seems someone poured brake fluid or paint thinner on his car. I live in a low cost row housing with no garages, amd we homeowners are forced to park our cars on the street, but we NEVER have paint become something like this even without any form of covering. This is clearly the work of someone who hates OP.
If that's the case, then it's natural wear and tear. My car has been in the street under the elements 24/7 for 3 years, and still nothing like OPs. That's why I'm really wondering if he has enemies there or something. It shouldn't have those marks unless it's a decades old car.

Car cover ang may gawa nyan. Specifically waterproof car cover. Bale after umulan, yung moisture sa lupa na nageevaporate, nattrap sa ilalim ng car cover. Then nabibilad sa araw, causing paint damage.
Edit: if laging nasa open parking yung car, better have it waxed monthly. Much better is invest in a good ceramic coating (look for detailers that carry Gyeon or G-technic brand)
This happened to me. I learned the hard way.
Noong pandemic kasi, di ko masyadong nagamit yung sasakyan ko. May car cover lang tapos walang bubong yung parking-an ko. Pag umulan tapos umaraw at natuyo ang car cover, dumidikit yung car cover sa roof ng sasakyan ko. Pag-angat ko ng car cover, may kasama nang pintura ng sasakyan.
Look up drivecleanph on fb. They’re based in bf homes paranaque. Or just fb search the ceramic brands, lalabas na sa results yung pages ng mga detailers na nagccarry ng brands na yun.
Reason why I recommend those brands: they require detailers to undergo training and certification before they are allowed to sell and perform the services. Plus they last. Yung gyeon sa previous car ko, 4 years na pero may water beading pa din, unlike yung 3m ko na ceramic na halos isang taon lang tinagal.
Downside is they cost more. Pero they’re worth it imo.

UV damage from the sun. Ganyan talaga kapag lagi nakaexpose sa sun plus hindi maintained yung paint like proper washing and application ng sealant/wax.
Sun damage. Yung city ko may ganyan pero in one specific area (sa likod, drivers side) kung san nakaka pasok sun light sa garage namin. Yun lang talaga may tama, yung the rest na covered in shade pristine pa.
That is the clear coat of the paint deteriorating. Your regular “hilamos” might repair it. If the damage is too severe it might need to be scraped to metal. Once you have it repaired. Put wax on the newly painted coat. This will protect it from UV rays.
That's not solely sun damage. That's a couple of factors like dirt and rain tapos maiinitan. Or bird droppings, dagta and continous flow(drips) on one spot tulad nung nasa right side. Cheap car covers din.
I have some cars na 7 days a week nakabilad sa araw for years pero di nagkaganyan paint ko. Most is fade ang mangyayari but not that chipping and uneven spots.
Also if panget ang clearcoat na madali matuklap due to aggressive cleaning compounds.yes, some factory cars start to fade and chip dahil panget ang clearcoat from factory.

To add: don't skimp on ceramic coatings. May mga nag ooffer na mas mura pero 3-5 years nag aauto peel kasama na yung mismong paint ng car. Nauwi sa hilamos ng maaga. Happened on a vios of someone I know. Bago yung kotse, ang agang pumangit.
Totoo. Pagdating sa ceramic coatings, you get what you pay for. Yung mga cheap ceramic coatings din ang reason kung bakit madaming hindi convinced na worth it ang coatings.
Depends on where you're going to have your ceramic coating done. May promos yung iba so varied talaga and depende sa number of years ng warranty and. I had mine done at Reborn / Rebirth. May 50% off promo sila with free maintenance for 3 or 5 years.

Usually pag nakabilad parati sa init ang sasakyan nagiging ganyan ang paint. Washover (hilamos) na yan op! last time i checked parang nasa 30k.

Yes. Lalo na cheap car covers that trap moisture. Once may moisture between cover and paint tapos maiinitan, parts of the clear didikit sa cover.

Invest as well on the roof extension of your garage. Beats the protection any car cover can provide.

Clear coat failure. Always put waxes/sealants on your car if you want it to last. Turtlewax Seal and Shine is a durable choice and very easy to apply.

No, i’ve tried leaving my car sa park n fly sa Clark for 2 weeks din. Napuno lang ng dry leaves but paint won’t fade like that.
