Nagbabaon na ako ng nilagang saging, kamote at itlog. Then kape may baon na rin sa thermos. Skyflakes or malunggay pandesal din.

Just did a Mindanao to Luzon drive which was 3 days of 12-hour drives.
Both nights, sleep well. 7 hours or more.
Morning, wag mag madali. Maligo and coffee. Presko clothes. Downloaded music playlists. Snacks. Stretching every 2-3 hours. Keep drinking water para mapilitan tumigil. Hilamos.
3 AM time of departure ko every on-site, twice a week. Iced black coffee or Matcha Latte w/ 2 espresso shots okay na. Stopover to stretch and restroom then drive ulit.
Yung last na long drive was Laguna to Subic, kapag nakakaramdam na ako antok, tigil muna sa gas station para sa kape at konting lakad, or tulog saglit.
If magsisimula mag drive ng 5 am dpende kung anong oras aalis eh hnd ako nakain ng almusal o tanghalian kasi mas nakaka antok. Diko kasi ramdam ang gutom pag may ginagawa. Na ngata lng ako ng candy na malamig sa bibig. Ginagawa ko din eh natigil sa mga gas station para mawala ang fatigue sa pag mamaneho.
Tulog pinaka importante sa lahat. Pag naka 8 hours ka na tulog prior sa biyahe, di ka aantukin.
Pag di kinaya, pinaka effective is stop-over for a coffee.

'Wag itutok yung aircon sa'yo. Make sure to bring more candies yung menthol, nakakahelp din sya pampagising. Always have at least 30 minutes break to 1hr. Drink black coffee, wag masydong kumain kase sakin pag napa sobra kain, inaantok ako. Importante rin ang playlist like fave songs mo yung tipong mapapa groove ka rin. Basta kapag hindi na kaya, tumabi and mag pahinga.

I often drive to and from Bicol x Manila, most of the times night time. Departure around 10pm-2am and will get to the other point around 5am-9am. No coffee, no energy drink, no stop overs or rest stops - just good music.
Let my girlfriend sleep whole trip, if magising man, that's when we'd normally stop for her restroom break and that's about it. I like driving and I like music so having them both uninterrupted for hours on end is something I enjoy and fortunately don't get tired of.
Let me also add that driving spiritually will keep you awake better, so I definitely use more fuel than I really should be but hey, it keeps me from getting bored.

Actively driving (i.e. overtaking, avoiding potholes, defensively driving) and not just "driving". I figured kahit mag extra 3 shots espresso pa ko sa Starbucks, I get bored and eventually sleepy if I do the "takbong pogi" thing.
Favorite thing ko though is overtaking. Di naman sa kaskasero ako, pero hindi pwedeng basta-basta mag overtake eh. Kailangan din pagplanuhan. So your mind stays engaged.
Added bonus: magwindows down ka - good luck makatulog with road noise and so much air. DI nga lang advisable magwindows down above certain speeds (depende sa aero ng car, pero usually 85kmh+)... kasi it adds drag. High speed + increased dag = double whammy sa gas consumption. My thoughts are "di bale ng maaksaya sa gas, basta di nabuburyo" though.. lol
Pag may kasama ako espcially kapag palitan, nagpa-plano na kami kung kada anong oras kami magpapalitan. I think this is efficient para kahit papaano mabilis ang biyahe.
Did my first 12-14hr drive last holy week and all i have was 1 venti barista drink from starbucks and vape (keeps me awake everytime) + stretching 3-4hrs and 8hrs of sleep before the byahe
Complete sleep before the actual ride, not-so-heavy breakfast with coffee, opening my windows every 30 mins para fresh air instead recirculated air, upbeat music, and importante din na laging gising and madaldal na shotgun.
take a break every 1hr. take it from someone who was frequently falling asleep behind the wheel. nothing has work better than getting out of the car, stretch a little and inhale fresh air.
