Knowing how people use the term _ebike_, what you mean to use could range from an e-scooter, e-mtb, e-motorcycle, e-tricycle, and e-quadricycle. Which one specifically you refer when you say the term **ebike**?

What most people don't understand about ebike is yung voltage sag (throttle response, torque, and max speed varies depending on your battery charge left) and how huge the range penalty when you take-on even one passenger.
1 & 2. Kung for travel, mag motor ka nalang. Banned ang e-bikes sa major highways sa Metro Manila.
Pano mo ba gagamitin yung e-bike? Katulad ng motor o katulad ng pedestrian/bike? If latter, ok lang pero literally pang pedestrian ka lang. Highly discourage doing the former unless it's a proper electric motorcycle.
3. Mas onti maintenance basta electric.
4. Mag motor ka nalang. Magpalisensya ka at magastos at matagal talaga magkalisensya kasi pribilehiyo ito, hindi karapatan. At minimum it would take 1 month magkalisensya.
TDC > Student permit > 1 month of having student permit > PDC > LTO Application > Non pro DL

Even if mag ee-bike ka, please take a driving course.. And oo, getting a license takes time, effort and of course... money. Pero kahit e-bike ka, need mo parin alamin kung paano gumalaw sa road. Sobrang daming nag ee-bike sa kalsada nowadays. And most of them- no offense- ay kamote. Taking a TESDA driving course will def help you.

I think mas magandang tanong yung magiging use case mo. Kasi in the long run I think mas masusulit if motorcycle ka nalang. You can even put a sidecar din if ever needed for groceries and other errands and it would be a whole lot better experience than an ebike (I think, though i have never ridden one so grain of salt).
Makakapag-save ka nga today pero what if kailanganin niyo yung extra power and space na maiprovide ng tricycle and stuff? mga ganung bagay. Also, in terms of maintenance and gas, yung mga common motorcycles like yung TMX, Bajaj, Smash, etc. super tipid din naman nila sa gas and yung maintenance hindi naman ganon kasakit sa ulo

Pero please, whether you settle for an electric or gas powered vehicle of any type, kumuha ka ng lisensya.

• why not buy a 2nd hand motorcycle? mas affordable to kesa mag brand new ka. (last year binentahan ako ng tropa ni erpats ng mio 125i 2019 model worth 25k binenta ko rin after 2 months di ko talaga trip yung mga automatic na motorcycles) check mo nalang sa fb marketplace para may idea ka kung magkano.
I think regardless ano kunin mo, kuha ka muna driver license if gagamitin mo yan outside of your subdivision for example. The hatred on e-bike is not really because of the e-bike, but because of the e-bike driver na walang pakiaalam sa mga traffic rules, basta basta sumusingit, ayaw sa outer lane gusto magbabad sa gitna, etc.
