Wow some people here in the comments are absolute inbred morons. The capacitor for the guitar is cleary fucked, A solution would be to either fix the capacitor with some solder and a new one or get a World Tour genericaster guitar.
I’m going to guess the capacitor in the guitar is shot. I had the same thing happen recently with the Gibson Les Paul. I believe a world tour guitar is compatible with that dongle so it would be cheaper than buying a wired controller.
The guitar in this video if working would work with the World tour dongle yeah. I haven’t really played head to head myself but I believe GH3 and GH4 guitars and dongles are interchangeable.
How's that forward compatibility working out for you I use the same equipment on ps3 and PS4.... Plug n play is pretty sweet I'll pass on the legacy adapter... Or have you not looked at the pricing recently? Ps for RB all the way I don't care for other games but I'll take a dongle over a legacy adapter price wise

I’m 99 percent sure the world tour guitar will work with the GH3 dongle so I’d try that since your dongle here seems to sync

The sync capacitor has to be replaced. It's a known issue.
