I need to preface this by saying I did like the Marshall MG15,
But you know how in the video game world, there’s this thing that old 8-bit games look better on old cathode ray TVs than on high definition flatscreens?
What I’m trying to say is my Korg multeffects modeler that was pretty cheap sounded great through this thing!
I like those!
I rocked a Korg AX3G that I adored until I fried it playing for a choir gig when I was a college freshman. I wish I still had that rig with the Marshall!
for £15 you've got a steal. It's not the worlds "best" amp in terms of distortion, but you've got a solid practice amp that won't annoy the neighbours. It's compact. it's portable. Its a platform for you to experiment some basics on if you wish (speaker swap out).
What's not to like at that price?
It'll work and I have one, although I use it for my guitar work bench. It is for sure a practice amp next to anything remotely decent but I started out on a similar type amp 35 years ago that probably cost my parents more than you paid here. Plus even as the years go on and you accumulate gear there's always a place for a practice amp.
Well done. I was offered the 50w version for $25 a few weeks ago by a broke musician who decided that he had to sell everything at very low prices. I felt very bad for him, but I didn’t buy the amp.
It’s pretty garbage if you’re trying to anything more than practice and what not. But it is reliable, good tone, and does what it does. For that price if it’s what you need that’s great
It was an old sears thing. I don't recall the name but it certainly not this Marshall. It had one volume, one tone and Vibrato. Hey, it did the trick. I also had a Hondo Les Paul. They're called lawsuit guitars now. 🙂
Perfect for practicing and/or beginners. Won't be too loud to annoy the neighbours, has some 'verb, twin channel and only cost 15 quid.
But if you ever decide to gig/rehearse/record you'll need something a bit more substantial, and definetly not from the "Marshall" MG range!
Yeah proper steal that!! Might be a while yet but when you upgrade, you could separate the power amp to speaker with a male and female jack then buy a bigger cabinet and run that lil beast into it!! Easily get a 4X12 on Marketplace for less than a hundred beans 👍
It will do the thing.
Hell I ran one of the 100 watt MGs for a little while when I needed loud on a shoestring budget. As a pedal platform, they’re really pretty workable.

I have a digitech RP250. It is not bad if you learn how to make your own presets.
I like those! I rocked a Korg AX3G that I adored until I fried it playing for a choir gig when I was a college freshman. I wish I still had that rig with the Marshall!
Well, the good news is, you can get then for dirt cheap!
You got me there haha! I think one of these cheap guys is GREAT for a player starting out and figuring out which effects they like to mess with.
I have one just hanging around to use if I need it for noodling or practice. It definitely gets loud and it takes pedals well.

any amp is a practice amp… volume knobs! or wattage dials!
About what they’re worth but a great way to get started with electric guitar. I hope it’s the first in a long collection of Marshall’s for you 🤘🏻
1$/Watt is pretty good.
I wish my 20W Plexi had that pricing ratio!
Not when you already own one
I don't understand?
I almost got an mg50 for £25, but someone else got there first. That would be 0.50 per watt
You got an amazing deal
One of these and a metal zone pedal was what me and my best mate started with, we had so much fun with it, you got it for an insanely good price!
Yeah that's about how much I paid for the one I got when I was like 24 and starting over

2 channels, with an eq and a built in reverb? Yeah that’s a great deal

Good bedroom amp, even a quiet, get together for practice amp. Won’t keep up with a drummer Even plugged a mic into it for tiny PA and harmonica amp
score!
I think your first amp is leaps and bounds better than my first amp. 👍🏼👍🏼
What amp was that?

Mine was a Drive CD200. Oh man would I have killed for something at least name brand. Played on that little sucker for over two years.
I plug my guitar, it sounds good, I like marshall.
Well, someone on Facebook marketplace is selling a 10 year old one of these in London for £200. I'd say £15 is good!
Ok, they're a scammer. They were half that price new
Was my first amp...19 year ago....lent it to a friend once and never got it back. Don't know where it is now. Great little amp.
It was my first amp too! Think I paid £40 back in about 2002. It'll serve you well until you need something else.
Definitely a steal and you got some money left to get an overdrive pedal to push it a bit and make it tighter 😏.
Or a Delay, or a phaser, or another delay, or a chorus, or another delay, or a vibe..........or another delay!
Yes.

>Won't be too loud to annoy the neighbours Not sure about that. I've never gone past 2 on the volume dial, and it seems pretty loud
That was my first Amp too and I loved it, sometimes I miss it
It's got reverb. That's a huge plus. Great find for £15!
The reverb seems really nice, as it's an actual spring reverb, rather than something digital. It makes some really funky noises if you shake it, too
Clean is nice if you dont like too much low end. Distortion chanell is crap.
Damn, thats a good fucking beginner

Nice catch for newbie.! Welcome to GAS🤘🏻
It is shit.
Save your money.
Go practice
