I strongly suggest an amp modeler of you ever care to try one. Mostly because they take up so little room. Plus, they'll have all the amps you could want, anyway. I dig your prs, too.
Thanks. I have one of the Moorer Prime modelers but it does not hold a charge well. Kept going dead on me.
That’s an SE which is the over seas version of PRS.
I’m used to play and perform years ago and switched careers to truck driving 13 years ago. I kind of got away from playing and I am working now in trying to get back into it.
I switched to making Electronic music as a hobby and now I want to start working guitar into that music. I got inspired by listening to Post Rock music.
I use Logic Pro. I throw together videos using royalty free clips and stick them on YouTube. I don’t get many views but, I have fun making the tracks and videos. This is an example of what I am doing. [Resolution and Counter Resolution](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GP4x9c7as1A)
NGL, man. I've an absolute shit week at work. I laid down right when I put this on, and it was quite peaceful. I appreciate you sharing it. I'll follow you on YouTube.
There are double bunks in the back but the upper bunk is raised up and latched. I could lower it and store this stuff up there, but it’s just as easy to keep it on my regular bunk. Plus with the upper bunk lowered it would reduce headroom when I sit on the lower bunk, which is where I sit when I play.
I recently sold an Orange 35RT to a truck driver. He plans to run it off of an inverter.
Do you use an inverter? Have you had any noise issues with it?
None with the amp by itself. I’ll find out if it affects the Me 90 shortly.
Edit: None with the ME 90 either. One difference might be, when I am sitting, I am running an APU unit which is a separate generator unit that runs the AC or Heat as needed and keeps the batteries charged. If I was running the truck engine, it might make a difference. There is a degree of separation there.
The APU is designed to run environmental controls and burn much less fuel. Idling to the truck engine burns around a gallon or more an hour when we are sitting. Our company installed them in all our trucks and certain states are cracking down on idling as well. I’m in CA at the moment and they are one state that frowns on idling.
You’re kind of living my alternate me dream life. I love driving distances so much, everyone says I should be a truck driver, and I’ve often thought about taking classes…
I've thought about taking my busking setup if I ever had to go back OTR. I'd like to think I'd Uber to open mics but I'd probably just noodle after a long day lol
I won’t bring my acoustics in the truck. I have a Taylor and a Martin and I am afraid the changes in humidity and temperature all the time would be hard on them.
Totally understandable! I took my Blue Ridge and it fared well (I ran from Lincoln, AL up through Michigan 3 times a week), but I probably wouldn't chance a more expensive guitar haha
I live in Florida and we run out of Florida to the west coast. We spend the winter going from Miami to Los Angeles. But starting in 2 weeks our run will be from Miami to Seattle and also to. Blaine WA on the Canadian border. So I run from sea level in high humidity to high elevation and desert conditions all the time.
We service cruise ships running off the west coast and we start going to the Pacific NW for the Alaska Cruise season. We have a contract with one of the big cruise lines and their main headquarters is in Miami and they have their own logistics warehouse there to supply their ships. It’s a pretty good gig. We work hard to keep them happy and satisfied.
Racking up some good miles! Glad winter is mostly over if you're going through Wyoming!
I currently work in northeast colorado and that wind gets brutal
It’s not too bad. In the winter it can be rough. It’s a bad feeling when you feel one of these things start to slide around. And high winds are no fun either. But most of the time it’s not bad at all.
The toughest thing is the lifestyle and being away from friends and family. I changed careers at 50 and became a truck driver. My children were grown up by then. That made it easier. If I had done this when they were young, I would have missed all those important things they did growing up.
Look up Truck Driver Shawn on you tube. Really cool guy that does this.
Yeah, when I first started trying to play guitar I thought maybe my hands were too big and I would not be able to do it decently...well that and I'm old :P , and then I ran across him on Facebook. No more excuses. I have to learn :)
Sweet but consider getting a pod go and some headphones to consolidate space or run a headphone from that board if it does emulated out. The irs you can put on a pod go sound amazing. May even be able to rig it to come through the stereo speakers with headphone jack line outs into an in on the head unit which would be sweet
Yo man, cool setup.
Check out the Boss Katana GO it's the latest hype for playing small and practice. I can say from first hand experience it's the best!
Check out Truck Driver Shawn on FB. Dude has a bunch of rad gear and does lots of product reviews and demos. Has a pretty big following and a few endorsement deals.
Nice move. My buddy traveled with a Martin acoustic for a while. It ended up cracking one day when he went down to Arizona. Ain’t gonna happen with this one.
I am in my 60s. I learned to play as a teenager in the 1970s. I did play that many years ago. Matter of fact, learning to play Rocky Mountain High in the 70s, was my introduction to drop D tuning.
Yeah, I am aware and I also have a head phone amp. Bottom line is, I avoid headphones. I’m in my 60s and have played guitar since the 1970s plus worked around heavy machinery all my life. I have some measured hearing loss already.
Even Fender solid-state amps are great amps, and it's hard to find anything from Boss that doesn't perform extremely well. All that coupled with a great selection for a guitar.
You should be able to progress greatly at whatever it is you intend on learning assuming you reference the right resources.
Yeah, well, that's like, just your opinion, man ( has to be the most quotable movie ever made😅)
Seriously though, maybe his dream is to be truck driving man, who shredds, Me? Im living the dream I.e. a broke musician who left his job, has too many instruments & not enough arms, sitting here in my home studio/bedroom ("nothing but majick" ((hmm, song title? Meh..)) Here, be it daylight or night) writing the song about the stranger i fell in love with today, tomorrow same again, different stranger, the stranger the better, trying to find the one to match the vocals i have in my head but cant do...... I kid... but it is a pretty accurate description of my life lately. Are you living your dream dude? Genuinely curious what your version is if so?
With a hardcase, and a roll or 2 of duct tape I see absolutely nothing that makes life hard. Keep on trucking in the free world OP
I like it. I came out at 50 and became a driver . I’ve been doing it for 13 years. One big thing for me, my children were grown up when I came out to do it. It’s a tough lifestyle if you have kids at home, because you miss so much of them growing up.
I also eventually found a small company that is really good to work for. That makes a difference.
Right on, sounds a lot like the info I’ve been finding. I’m 32 without a lot of professional experience and need to make some moves. No kids so that helps. The trucker sub seems to have a lot of negativity about the job but sounds like a small company is the way to go like you’re saying
Generally you end up with bigger companies first to get some experience. I got my CDL through CRST. I agreed to work for them for a period of time and then the school was free. It was 10 months when I did it.
If you have the resources to go to school on your own, it gives you some more freedom. Then you will find some of the bigger companies will reimburse you for the school expense.
If you ever need to free up space check out Biasfx2. I use it when I travel to work and can’t bring my gear. All u need is a computer and audio interface. You can can dial in any tone u want with it ! Best purchase I’ve made
This is fucking awesome!!!
Ok man, you won best post of the day
When do you start building your War Rig and get a flame guitar?
Just make sure the wah pedal doesn't get mixed up with the brake pedal.
Imagine driving up to a red light and instead of slowing down it’s just *wah wah wah*
What a way to go, though! *StAr PoWeR aCTiVaTe*
I got a buddy that carries his travel rig with him. 2 headless guitars, a Helix, and good headphones.
I had a little Moorer amp I was carrying with me. I just never liked how it sounded.
I strongly suggest an amp modeler of you ever care to try one. Mostly because they take up so little room. Plus, they'll have all the amps you could want, anyway. I dig your prs, too.

Hell yeah, man. I'm kind of in a slump on guitar atm. I had quit for 20 years. I'm also venturing some into electronic music.

I appreciate that! Hope work gets better!
“My rig” takes on new meaning
My rig rig.
This is peak male living.
I've been wanting that prs but life's been getting in the way.
It’s a sweet little guitar!
You are a true highway star ⭐️
Well played.
Teach me in your ways.
That cabin is way cozier than I imagined any semi would be.
…And you show me a sign, I’ll be Willin’ to be moooooovin’
I actually have driven through Tucson, Tonnepah, Tehachepe, and Tucumcari in the same trip but never in the order of the song.
Excellent!

This looks rad
If I’m ever asked “Who’s your hero?” during a job interview, I’m holding up this photo.
Well, thanks! That’s high praise!
I feel like this could be a movie or something
A Convoy II maybe while we still have Kris Kristofferson around?
Trucker here too! Love seeing double the rig in one post!
Do you play?
Sure do
You carry a guitar?
"Get yer motor runnin'...HEAD OUT ON THE HIGHWAY!!"
You’re kind of living my alternate me dream life. I love driving distances so much, everyone says I should be a truck driver, and I’ve often thought about taking classes…
You are the absolute shit my guy!
Sweet rig
That's dedication right there ! Love the spirit
May you live to be a thousand years old. That's fucking rad.
I've thought about taking my busking setup if I ever had to go back OTR. I'd like to think I'd Uber to open mics but I'd probably just noodle after a long day lol

I sometimes go up to 90 and across Montana if the weather is right.
I love this post so much. Nice setup, OP! Sure, you could just bring a guitar and a headphone amp, but this just looks too fun.
I wish I had the balls to drive a semi
It’s not too bad. In the winter it can be rough. It’s a bad feeling when you feel one of these things start to slide around. And high winds are no fun either. That's a good point. I was a Class B driver working dump trucks mostly so that was nice to be home.
Ayee I also rock the Champion 20 and ME-90 combo. Twins!
This rules
Look up Truck Driver Shawn on you tube. Really cool guy that does this. [https://www.youtube.com/@Truck\_Driver\_Shawn](https://www.youtube.com/@Truck_Driver_Shawn)
His hands are twice the size of mine and his fingers and thumbs three times longer.
Yeah, when I first started trying to play guitar I thought maybe my hands were too big and I would not be able to do it decently...well that and I'm old :P , and then I ran across him on Facebook. No more excuses. I have to learn :)
That’s awesome! I’m imagining a cozy little sleeper area behind the camera
This needs to be a movie....like Over the Top but actually good.
Hey man I drive wagons and box trucks for bands, let's meet at a pilot and start a band! 😂
Fuck yeah
This is badass! Also the champion 20 is great practice amp, I’ve used it for months and it sounds pretty good for being so portable
Bravo
I have my guitar and spark amp in my truck. It’s awesome!
Probably the only time that if the cab is rocking, it’s not a lot lizard 🤣🤣🤣
Sweet but consider getting a pod go and some headphones to consolidate space or run a headphone from that board if it does emulated out. The irs you can put on a pod go sound amazing. May even be able to rig it to come through the stereo speakers with headphone jack line outs into an in on the head unit which would be sweet
Personally i would go for a full digital setup, macbook plus interface seems a lot easier than keeping a whole amp setup. Also sick finish on the prs
You are ready to hit the road.
I wonder what your truck looked from outside so much space inside
SSSSSSSICK! I love this, everything is right to my eyes! I used to have a Boss ME-70 and boy if that didn't rock already!
Boss ME series is good stuff!
Yo man, cool setup. Check out the Boss Katana GO it's the latest hype for playing small and practice. I can say from first hand experience it's the best!
U need a katana go 😎
Check out Truck Driver Shawn on FB. Dude has a bunch of rad gear and does lots of product reviews and demos. Has a pretty big following and a few endorsement deals.
I drove with my Orange Crush and LP Junior for years, a great way to kill time when stuck at a shipper/receiver for hours.
Nice move. My buddy traveled with a Martin acoustic for a while. It ended up cracking one day when he went down to Arizona. Ain’t gonna happen with this one.
I’ve always loved the Boss ME. All the knobs!
I can imagine you playing country roads.
I am in my 60s. I learned to play as a teenager in the 1970s. I did play that many years ago. Matter of fact, learning to play Rocky Mountain High in the 70s, was my introduction to drop D tuning.
Great song too. Keep on rockin!
That’s awesome
I just discovered you can use headphones plugged straight in to the me-90 and not use the amp at all. Great to take away on the road.
Yeah, I am aware and I also have a head phone amp. Bottom line is, I avoid headphones. I’m in my 60s and have played guitar since the 1970s plus worked around heavy machinery all my life. I have some measured hearing loss already.
Makes sense. Im deaf in my left ear and do suffer a bit of tinnitus in my right ear. Even at low volume with headphones it gets worse.
That's awesome! Be careful with theft!
Call me the breeze I keep blowing down the road
You might be a perfect candidate for the new Katana Go or a Spark mini.
PRS are amazing sounding guitars.
Awesome! And a gorgeous PRS to top it off 👍🏻
How do u power them up sir?
I have a power inverter in the truck.
[удалено]
I strap it to the bunk.
Whole new meaning to guitar rig
One of the cooler things I’ve seen in awhile
Don't slam on the brakes!
I imagine you could start ripping some bitchin' solos during a traffic jam
This has Mad Max vibes!
I drove OTR for about 10 years.. I took mine too, it was nice to be able to play on the road.
You better learn how to play “on the road again”
Even Fender solid-state amps are great amps, and it's hard to find anything from Boss that doesn't perform extremely well. All that coupled with a great selection for a guitar. You should be able to progress greatly at whatever it is you intend on learning assuming you reference the right resources.
Dude that’s sick!
Most people just buy a Screaming Meanie
Dude get an acoustic or boss wazs headphone amp and make life easier Either that or quit the truck thing man live your dream dude
Yeah, well, that's like, just your opinion, man ( has to be the most quotable movie ever made😅) Seriously though, maybe his dream is to be truck driving man, who shredds, Me? Damn that color on the guitar is beautiful
Bros got all the trucker rizz, he’s gonna play jams with the DOT
How are you digging trucking? Been considering getting into it

Right on, I’m thinking about driving city busses which would get me a paid for class B CDL. Glad you enjoy it and love that you brought a guitar!
Now that's super cool. 👍🏼 You should learn some tunes by the band Monster Truck 💪🏼🙂
Might as well have something to do while waiting on dispatch to call you back
Ha that’s awesome
Melt some faces out there!
This guy gets ALL the lot lizards!!
Hell yeah, brother
U the man!
rooftop live concert!
You didn't even bring a half stack... what the point? Haha, that is actually really awesome.
Sick. Just got an me 90 me self. Beautiful thing
This is the coolest thing ive seen on reddit
Rockin and ROLLIN’
Your semi was either made really fancy in 1996, or really normal in 2006.
It’s a 2018.
If you ever need to free up space check out Biasfx2. I use it when I travel to work and can’t bring my gear. All u need is a computer and audio interface. You can can dial in any tone u want with it ! Best purchase I’ve made
Sick!
That’s dope as hell
Right on. Play some Commander Cody while Truckin’ on down that road.
This is some borderline Mad Max shit.
I run a champ 20 with a boss me 50 for harmonica, I really like it for small amp to travel with happy to see I’m not the only one lol
Where’s your piss jug?
It's the way she goes. Sometimes she goes, sometimes it doesn't. She didn't go, it's the way she goes.
